well the person in the middle seems to be more "focused" upon so that could mean 1 protag while the rest are his gang (npc's).

 

now bring in a 1800's setting,a fantastic story without online gimmicks besides redemption type multiplayer and it's a win for me!

 

oh and a mysterious side character like the angel/devil guy marston encountered would be nice.

 

still remember the theories about him! that was just awsome.

John Marston in the middle?

Techrader had an article about that suggesting the same. It's what we talked about earlier. The Old West was at it's end when we played the Marston storyline. This is Dutch's gang, and boy people. We're in for a wild ride. We know how it all ends. But how did they form the gang, how ruthless was Marston really?

I think they will Yesterday we had a picture with just red worn out background with R* logo today we have the same picture but with the sun and 7 people silhouette tommorow they probably add more detail to it and reveal the title

I feel the same way as well. It took in and around 24 hours for the latest update, and I guess they want the details to be slowly unwrapped untill maybe just around Christmas time when we finally see the trailer. Its 99% confirmed after the latest picture that its nothing else but a new Red Dead. I'll be surprised if it has anything to do with GTA V.

Well if it is a prequel then we all know what happens at the end.

I hope the new art doesn't indicate an experience in which there's a large focus on an Online component, like a cooperative mode or something, which I feel the image is giving off.

 

Honestly.....this is one of the first things I thought when I saw the image, I can't even lie.

No way this game will have direct ties to Redemption's story. The idea that those guys are Dutch's gang is uninspired and R* is better to write something completely new. Also, those guys are 7, whereas we only know 5 prominent members of the gang.

This could be a long drawn-out story that stretches from first riding with Dutch's gang up until the point where Marston leaves and leads onto Redemption.

 

Who knows, maybe we will play as somebody else and Marston will be a supporting character?

I can't wait for its title to be revealed because I'm f*cking tired of IGN, Gamestop and etc. writing stuff like "fans have waited a long time for Red Dead Redemption 2, as the first game came out in May 2010."
