I hope the eating feature returns ffs. That is 1 feature I absolutely loved in San Andreas. It's also a feature that even other developers haven't tried since at least to my knowledge. I think I could fit the bill nicely

IMHO rockstars use facebook for announcements, like RDR2, so i believe that the page is down for a good reason. This is strange because the other page like RDRevolver and Undead are still up. They are working on it, maybe, and now is hidden

I think Immersion should always play a big role when it comes to the Red dead franchise, but there is always that thin line between Immersion/annoying.

Off topic but has some admin even at least tried to block mrbossftw IP before ffs? His latest about 'next rockstar game' just melted my cerebral cortex. Absolute cancer. I usually keep it to myself but the fact he's growing a net worth on Yan's and other peoples info is infuriating. At least the media pays a lot of it's sources. You would think it makes sense for Take Two to have something out about the game before the end of year conference because it'd give them a further boost, but we said this many times about GTA V so I don't have my hopes up lol.

 

At the conference in February, which was only a quarter report, the Q&A section was still mostly full of RDR2 interest, and even though they (obviously) never answer any questions with information they must realise people are just going to keep asking anyway because it's Rockstar's first new game in a long time. If it's true that Take Two "encouraged" Rockstar to announce it last year, then they could do the same again. It'll be interesting if we've had no info by then but they still mention the "fiscal 2018" release window as well.

 

I'm just beginning to wonder what we'll actually get first; information or a release date, or a delay lol.

We made up every possible excuse as to why every investor call was "different" for GTA V. They are end of quarter reports, they are not E3 press conferences. They are their to summarise the quarter from a financial stand point, not wet the appetite of shareholders. Could they announce something between now and the call? Sure, but it wouldn't benefit the call. The moment they start talking about RDR2, at any point in the year, the shares and stocks and whatnot of Take-Two will benefit, they don't have to time them to coincide with an investor call.

 

The absolute most us, as fans, ever got out of one of those calls is when they predicted their future earnings and they were insanely high because of GTA V. But at that point we knew it was coming, and eitherway it doesn't mean a delay is impossible from that point on.

 

Expect nothing because of that call, cause really, that's all we ever get. At worst you won't be disappointed, and at best we can all party like it's 1968.

Agreed. Plus we're now reaching that point where we're getting out of the spring releases that dominated the audiences this year and now all eyes are looking forward which is why we just had CoDs reveal and Destiny 2 is in a couple of weeks.

 

The investors call might trigger something prior similar to the announcement trailer timing but Jason already covered why this also might not be the case.

 

5 or 4 months to release isn't worrying given the Fallout effect and October being suspiciously open seems quite telling.

Despite the fact we have CoD:WW2, Destiny 2 and probably half a dozen over good candidates... I'm still holding a slight hope that the next GI is RDR2. If only cause if turns out not be RDR2, I'm expecting a delay.

I doubt it's Call of Duty given the big reveal and press conference. I'm a little doubtful it's Destiny given their gameplay reveal is a big press conference for journos and Youtubers attending so any major info will come from that for days, so a GI story would seem redundant.

 

RDR2 might not even get a cover but if it's a possibility and it is revealed in May...maybe we'll hear rumblings next week?

When has a CoD ever had a GI cover just after its reveal? Im pretty sure the SP isnt that drastic to warrant a GI cover. And they already told us just about everything.

 

All I know for sure is that we HAVE to get something this month

Possibly, but working on two giant AAA games simultaneously is very unlikely.

Rockstar is so secretive unlike 2K however it seems like parent company Take-Two have both behaviours. Geez they need to have their own event like a four day event- Day 1 for 2K and it studios, Day 2 for Rockstar and it studios, Day 3 for mobile and e-sports, and Day 4 for Take-Two. It never going to happen. Heck a Rockstar themed event will probably attract 5-10k gamers. Rockstar are shy and secretive and you can tell on that YouTube Live-stream videos.
