Well Kotaku still think it's coming this year :p I guess they wouldn't know otherwise, but it's definitely lining up to be a busy fall 2017.

Someone asked Jason if he thinks RDR2 is still coming out this year and he said that if he mentions it people will blame him for a delay :lol:

Nope, 2018

Actually i'd say September 2019 or something like that. That's how Naughty Dog likes to roll. They like to announce their games 2 years or so before release.

I know they are vastly different games, but how many wishlists is RDR2 going be on top of if Little Timmy's parents can only afford 2 games this Christmas? We might have a more mature select audience with RDR2, but if I was into all these games I could barely afford them all either as a working adult at like £50 a pop :lol: They really did pick a packed out release window.

I'm no hater of Call of Duty (played a few of them and enjoyed it) but it's cool they are going back to the roots. MW3 was like the last one I played and I just stopped after that.

Yep, it'll be an interesting match up with Destiny 2 though which has been massively popular. Not that Activision care much, seeing as they publish Destiny 2.

It'll be the top of little Tommys list when he knows what the f*ck its about or what it will contain. The new CoD was revealed today and it already has more information and footage than a game that was announced last October. Im just glad my hopes for this game isnt crazy since The Benz left. I know he had a huge impact on R*'s biggest games and I dont know if that amount of quality will continue without him

Oh, I'm definitely going to play COD: WWII due to the "Band of Brothers" theme set around it. Landing into Normandy and a gripping campaign taking you throughout France on the march towards Germany sounds awesome and will surely bring back nostalgia like the old days in COD.

 

However, I expect them to go straight back to the future next year. Or who knows? Maybe, they finally realized that maybe going back to COD's roots is a better idea after all.

 

Fall/Winter is going to be awesome indeed.

 

Let me get back on-topic here because I feel weird talking about COD in a Red Dead Redemption 2 thread.

On Call of Duty...

 

Of course the trailer has more likes, it's an actual trailer. I can totally understand why someone who watched the trailer for RDR2 didn't hit the 'like' button. There honestly wasn't a whole lot there.

 

As far as the Fall release goes, at this point it pretty much has to be October, right? With Destiny 2 in September and CoD and Battlefront 2 in November. To be honest though, not many of these games were unforeseen - they're kind of mainstays in the Fall release period. I don't see anything there that might remotely scare Rockstar off - not literally, mind you, more in the sense that Rockstar would have assumed these games were coming out before they were even announced. New Assassin's Creed? Shock horror!

 

Yet, the closer we get to October, the more I can feel the dream dying. We're almost only 4 months away from that month, which makes a release there seem as unlikely as ever.

Unfair comparison, Star Wars is headed in a good direction in my opinion.

 

As for Rockstar in general do you think they've gone hollywood? Guess we'll find out when RDR2 releases..
