Just finished GTA 5 for the second time

I cannot for the life of me bring myself to play through GTA5 again. So tedious in many areas but I guess its because I beat it like 8 times since launch

I've beaten GTA V maybe 4 times? 100%'d it twice and then got every Achievement on the Xbone. I guess I liked the game.

I swear R* better not f*%k this up! Putting up with GTAO for almost 4 years, and not saying sh*t about a cancellation or anything about SPDLC and Replaying GTAV story agin is out the question. i really dont want to hear sh*t about a delay or E3 come around and we still haven't heard or seen anything. All these other dev release these half ass complete games. C'mon come through R*! I been seeing R* San Diego still doing some hiring too these last few months, idk if that matters but im hoping for the best, prepared for a worst. But im giving R* 53 days to come thru with something, sh*t if people can make enough noise for a damn Bikers Update idk why cant we do the same lol. Idc what it takes got damnit! If i have to watch this f*ckin trailer 1 more muhf*&kin time in amazement ima lose my sh*t..

I have no doubt that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be an incredible game with peerless craftsmanship and care (it's not going to some online-centric series of adversary modes you sillies... {breaks out into an nervous sweat}) but I do wonder how Rockstar can surpass the singular thematic narrative of the original, especially given the near-certain step back chronologically.

By setting it in a different time, with a different theme. It's why I'm so in favour of it being set during the Civil War - because, thematically, it would come at a very relevant point socially. There are huge divisions in society, especially American society, as there were back then, and forcing the player to take sides in a conflict like that, at a time of such high ideology, would be markedly different to the narrative of Redemption.

It won't be set during the American civil war, though.

I think setting it during the Civil War would be too big a shift. It'd invariably feel more like a war game than a classic Western. For me the ideal period would be shortly after the war during the Reconstruction Era. There'd still be North vs South tensions but you wouldn't have to replace Outlaws with Soldiers and Bank Robberies with Battles.

I just finished GTA V for the 3rd time and it felt like I was playing it for the first time again!

You know when you know you are playing a great video game, when it no longer feels like just button mashing for simple entertainment, but rather you are experiencing a virtual piece of art which makes you actually feel something.

Highly doubt. Tuesday, 25th - New "Tiny Racers" AM for GTAO and Thursday/Friday - possible streams.

I'm sort of glad that rockstar pretty much killed my ability to get hyped again, after that horrible GTAV info drought back in 2012. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have a hair left on my head...

And to put it into perspective, the game was announced before IW was even released. And now tehy're announcing a new CoD and all we've had was pure silence
