Red Dead Redemption 2: Discussion & Speculation (Part 1)

Red Dead's graphics will look nowhere near as good as that. It's ridiculous to compare it to Bloodborne when that game is on a much smaller scale than Red Dead. That fort render looks better than Uncharted 4 and Uncharted 4 is a linear game pushing the PS4 to its absolute limits.

 

However, I'm pretty confident that the new Red Dead will be the best looking open world game this generation (so far). Remember how much of a leap Redemption was over GTA IV? I can't wait to see how much Rockstar's improved their engine.

Yea it won't look that good, they will have to save polygons for other stuff. But that screenshot is not astronomically ahead.

Another reason why this is so exciting! This will be Rockstars first true next-gen game. GTA V was a remaster, so it will be interesting. Wonder if they're using a new engine or what.

GTA V (as mentioned before) marketed the exact same way, the first trailer came out months before the release - I'm not expecting Red Dead to be any different - at the very minimum, they'll be aiming for late summer 2017 release date.

online was the upgrade for gta, the story was lame if you ask me.The amount of bickering that goes on between all characters is beyond rediculously annoying, just one of many many many flaws.

Guys, no company, especially Rockstar would do this because of a simple brand change. The hell. Just look at the old RDR artwork and you'll see the pattern in the background is the exact same. Also, they would not start replacing all images on their social networks and their websites for a GTAO DLC two weeks a way, they haven't even done this for things like heists. Sure, sure, it seems surreal but there's no question this is Red Dead...

Fact, spider-vice is correct. The ONE doubt I have is in my post above his where it has the timecyc looking like some undead nightmare stuff for halloween. Better be RDR! I think it is, it IS that game's artwork branding theme all of it - but still, that timecyc tho

 

I don't think it's "really" relevant Dagger, but man, it is like, "I feel too optimistic about how perfectly this fits some RDR"

Rumours have been around about Agent set in cold war 1970s in Cairo.

 

Might be set in commie cities as well.

 

Now that's the game I'd play.

They would not use red to tease the Agent game, I can guarantee that.

R* are also far more original then going Red>Communist>Bad guys!

I imagine they would use neo-noire colours like black and yellow, they also wouldn't tease it in the same way as it doesn't hold the same authority the red dead series does.

 

But on another note, a 1970s espionage game set in Cairo sounds awesome.
