An announcement today for a trailer Tuesday would make complete sense , now that I'm thinking about it.

Would be more likely for an announcement to come for a trailer next week, but this isn't happening. Starting to think we'll only get something in late April or May.

I get the feeling this years E3 is gonna be preeeetty interesting. Sony has a ton of exclusives already announced (God of War, Spiderman, Days Gone, Crash remake, Knack 2 and way more) that they'll no doubt be showing and Microsoft has a new console to launch and games to justify the price tag.

The Jet Moto games are also rumored to be getting the remastered treatment like Crash Bandicoot is for PS4. If this is true this is amazing and many childhood memories will be relived.

Two or three screenshots wouldn't hurt. Hell, only these will break the internet. I don't think any developer has that magical power as R* that they've developed an egoistic mentality. They dictate marketing in the most frustrating and ambiguous ways. It is true that Rockstar works in mysterious ways. Just like God, they have no issues exposing their ego, in subtle ways. Still, when they deliver, they actually deliver and that what makes us to keep coming.

Take-Two WILL be at E3 like every year, with their business booth with art of their latest games, not necessarily with new info. The investors will be looking for this booth, any game showings are just a bonus so they can at least have a reason to invest on the company more due to its success.

Soooo...are we saying that I should invest in TTWO before E3, and it'll get a big bump right after, because of all the wonderful future game news they will announce? Or should I short those SOB's, assuming they will remain silent, and the stock will crater after E3?

Im long with TTWO since 4years. At this point valuation of Take Two is at a good stand. A simple announcement of a game wont push the stock dramatically and I dont expect any huge suprises beside that what everybody already thinks is going to happen.

Investors will just look at one thing. Will RDR2 sell above 15 Million copies maybe even be near such a huge hit like GTA and are they able to generate further recurring business out of it to have a solid base line of business.

If this is going to happen I can see the stock above 100$

Nevertheless till RDR2 releases stock will move sideways

I will have no problem waiting for E3 to get information and a trailer, but the issue is that they keep dragging us without telling or giving any hint when we should hear more. Anticipating something and then getting disappointed is a very bad feeling.

They could put a few out and say something like " keep an eye out in the coming weeks ahead for more on red dead redemption 2"

 

They are just being ass holes. No other reason

Maybe, it's very likely they'll show a new trailer and announce the PlayStation exclusive features.

 

The Last of Us: Part II will steal the show in my opinion, especially if they demo the game.

 

Rockstar will probably come out with there gameplay series videos on YouTube afterwards as they don't need E3.

if you ask me, if it wasn't for that Take2 Conference call, I don't even think Rockstar would have even announced RDR2 in October, so I'm very optimistic will hear something interesting from R* before T2's call.

• GTA V was announced on Nov 2nd 2011 and T2 Conference call was Nov 9th 2011. ( 1 week )
• R* announced it will release GTA V in "Spring 2013" on October 30th 2012 and T2 conference call was on October 31st 2012 (1 day)
• RDR2 was announced on October 18th 2016 and T2 Conference call was Nov 2nd 2016. ( 2 weeks )

R* are obviously required to announce interesting things just before Take2 inc. conference call. Whether it's RDR2 or not who knows?

What are Take 2 going to say about R* in the upcoming report, if nothing happens by then?.

Or they're being the unorganised mess R* are.

I think starting their big marketing push with anything less than a story trailer and/or massive info dump and a release date would be a mistake. I wouldn't be surprised if the game is still buggy as hell at this point and they haven't nailed down that date yet.

 

Either way, I'm sure the lack of screenshots isn't a personal attack on the fan base and it's not because Rockstar doesn't know what they're doing. It's just that drip feeding us screenshots would be an incredibly underwhelming way to kick things off.

Yeah however using fake money to practice. Been practising for about a year, anyway I knew a Red Dead Announcement was imminent so I bought shares a few months earlier, great luck from me just out of learning Rockstars patterns. Anyway its jumped over 40% for me since it was announced but stands at 39 today. I wish I invested more then but I was to pussy.

Totally agree, on top of this being the last quarter of fiscal 2017. Maybe r* would want to give TTWO something to entice investors. 4 Photos or a 30 second clip c'mon R* this is getting out of hand now
