Did the original RDR2 trailer drop on a Thursday? if so then next Thursday would be a good bet for some info as it's 6 months since the last trailer.

next week maybe, this thursday the new star wars trailer is dropping, so Rockstar won't go up against that

No, the Star Wars trailer is going live Friday. Again to suggest somebody won't put out advertising during this week because of it is a little far fetched and stupid don't you think? Lol

 

IE, see every other trailer and announcements in various industries posted this week.

These days if you stave off announcements because someone else is announcing something you'll be waiting till we're all dead pretty much. Entertainment industry is too big now, you just have to get it out there and trust that people can read and watch more than one thing in a day and get excited about more than one thing at a time.

I know we had those emails that seem to point to E3 as being a big source of info for RDR2 and as much as I'd love for it to be true, I really doubt we'll see RDR2 in a big way in any shape or form at Sony's conference. E3 conferences have become very exclusive heavy over the past few years. It's where Sony has been thriving for a while now and they have some massive exclusives coming up over the next year or so that have already been announced and they'll be packing their E3 conference with them from start to finish - it's how you "win" E3 these days. I'd expect them to close with gameplay from the new Spiderman game - I doubt we'll see anything about RDR2 other than a bundle announcement and them reiterating that RDR:O will have exclusive content on PS4. But if Rockstar do want to show up at E3 to do any sort of reveal, they are one of those multi platform developers that you make room for in your conference so even though I doubt it... We'll see...

while I have to respect your opinion, I have to think otherwise. Though we don't kno what the terms are with the deal between R* & Sony. The exclusive content is still yet to be seen. Tho R* might not need E3 they might want to really go big for RDR2 and allow PS to show they're exclusive content on the side of a gameplay reveal. Imo Which would be a "win" for Sony and a bombshell for fans. E3 touches the masses, BF1 trailer hit 57 million views after e3 reveal, RDR2 tease 11 million, everyone isn't a R* superfan but R* could use e3. At the Earnings conference a investor Will ALMOST DEFINITELY ask Will TTWO be at E3?, when will we see more on rdr2?, etc. If Strauss tries to dodge the question or walk around it..something might be up.

Take-Two WILL be at E3 like every year, with their business booth with art of their latest games, not necessarily with new info. The investors will be looking for this booth, any game showings are just a bonus so they can at least have a reason to invest on the company more due to its success.

I find it fascinating that there are always rumors that Involve R* being at E3 every year. Last year people got angry because Red Dead wasn't shown, this year the rumors are suggesting that Microsoft will be showcasing RDR2 on the Scorpio at their Xbox conference. anyway, Sony's Exclusive is. "PS4 players get first access to earn select online content in the vast open world of Red Dead Redemption 2" In my honest opinion, I don't think that is E3 worthy, but who knows what Sony do? and like already mentioned above Sony will be packed this year with exclusive games (Uncharted, Spider-man, G.O.W etc) and exclusive content (Call of Duty no doubt etc.).

I do believe R* will release a Newswire article before E3 even begins.

Yes true, I was just giving examples about exclusive games coming out this year, who knows what other games Sony has in store for E3, that is the whole point I guess.

 

anyway, because R* likes to be the limelight sometimes, I find it difficult to see R* give Sony the honor of being the first to announce something as big as RDR2's release date and second trailer (the GTA V PS4 Trailer wasn't a big deal). if R* also decide to give an exclusive gameplay video to Sony or MS at E3 then that's even better, but I just don't see it happening. either way E3 will not suck without RDR2.

To be honest Sony's conference will be packed. Spiderman is rumored to come later this year so a reveal of gameplay makes sense, Wild probably will be shown, Uncharted LL will have some type of presentation as its not just a DLC but standalone game and is the last in the series, Days Gone/God of War/Detroit Become Human/FF 7 Remake/Death Stranding could get new trailers and release dates, and all the other new things that will be shown. I would honestly pay close attention to both Microsoft and Sony's conferences because with the recent Windows Central report that could lead to something showing up for the Xbox

E3 is very likely to show a gameplay trailer and Rockstar on Sony stage to talk a little bit about the game.

Before there should be another story driven trailer within the next month.

The booth is to big to just show NBA and WWE 2K18. With recent news we should get a first look at Borderlands 3 also I would rather like to see Max Payne remastered and Max Payne 4.

I don't think there should be a Max Payne 4 in my opinion. I thought Max Payne 3 ended well with Max walking off into the sunset so to speak after all he's been through. They should just end it at that. Although, would be interesting!

That guy looks like he's doing a cartwheel as he goes down. I love the over exaggerated movement of bodies in RDR, it's like they emulated the ridiculous overacting of dying henchmen in old spaghetti westerns.

I'm sure they will, remember GTAV is a lastgen game.
