-rip gta5 sp dlc or gta 6.

-multiple report of the release date of the new RDR.

-pc version release 1 year later after consoles ( or never as always with RDR).

Why are some people bringing up GTA Online stuff in the Red Dead section? Take that back to the appropriate section.

 

It's already happening... SMH! "This new Red Dead needs to be more GTA Online". Please, just stop, it's comical...

Given the success of GTA Online, it's only natural to suggest that a similar model will be applied here. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Red Dead '3' was entirely online.

 

I really doubt they'd go online only. It would cause too much of a sh*tstorm and there's still a big audience for singleplayer games from R*.

There's no way it'll only be multiplayer. Rockstar is known for its story based video games. If they ever chose to go a multiplayer only route, it would be an RPG based game only. With A LOT OF MICRO TRANSACTIONS.

GTA Online was a learning experience for Rockstar like every game is. Rockstar will have a different approach to delivering single-player and online because of what they learned. GTAV promised Heists and SP DLC but Heists took much longer than planned and I think the SP DLC fell by the wayside because they had to move on to RDR3 — once SP DLC had slipped beyond delivery for last-gen consoles it would have made much less financial sense to continue. Games are too big for individual studios anymore and the whole company works on everything.

Getting headshots in red dead felt so awarding and satisfying... Ah, I remember when we could still crouch and swtch shoulders to pull off some crazy shots.

I could actually picture a Red Dead Online.

 

Challenges (this was already in Read Dead Redemption which rewarded XP and sometimes a new "Title"). A bounty system (similar to GTA Online's) but in the better western way. Imagine walking up to a wall in a small town and seeing pictures of the player's character in your Free Roam session in-game scattered along this wall and you could choose which one to hunt down. Saloons that offer drinks this time around in Free Roam as well as various mini-games that were seen in Red Dead Redemption among new ones.
