Red Dead Redemption 2: Discussion & Speculation (Part 1)

This guy likes a single video relating to video games and it happens to be a Red Dead Redemption 2 one that discusses things...

THIS "MAY" BE OUR GUY! I mean it's almost as clear as day. The evidence is spewing. Interacts with other Red Dead Redemption people, likes a video relating to Red Dead Redemption 2, voice is damn near similar... Not saying IT IS HIM but it's straying to become damn near close. I'm sure you will all dig deeper on here. ;)

Great finds through and through.

If he is a major protagonist than he can tell his grandchildren about it one day :D

Neudd, you're a god-tier detective. This reminds me of when everyone found out Ned Luke was "The guy on the balcony"

So that supposed Roger Clark who is going to be the main character:

He looks like a suitable cowboy to me!

Hey may be the protagonist. The guy in the duster coat and the guy on the center of the artwork. Legacy can finally die happy. This is actually worthy of a video

I can totally see the resemblance

My guess is that he was the former leader of John's gang

It would be nice if people who take information from here actually link back to their sources, though.

The photo that DeeDog posted of the actor, that photo reminds me of those old photos of some of the great actors from the 40's and 50's.

If Dutch is in RDR2, then I suspect that this game will be based around the time before Dutch started his own gang.

He's also subscribed to Every Frame a Painting (which has a cowboy on a horse as its profile pic).

Coincidence? I think not...

lol thats a good one.

It'll never happen. People are assholes. As much as I dislike his vids, at least Legacy states his sources

That moustache though. I'm jealous.

@DeeDog, especially when we are as starved for information as we are.

Edit: I can't multi quote on mobile.

Just followed him on Twitter. According to Roger Clark's Twitter, he lives in New York. Though I'm sure we (except me) knew this by now. Too many coincidences or we're just reading too much into this.

It his voice, no doubt. It's an exact match.

Can't wait to see how much it actually looks like him in game. Are they going to go the gta v route and model them to a t? I'm not sure as dutch and bill williamson don't really look like their real life counterparts.

I guess that might explain why we found the "Dutch" mo-cap person, the old actors would just be providing the voices for familiarity but that guy would be providing the looks since he'd be younger. If it's true about Roger Clarke, he could do the mo-cap himself since he's fairly young to middle-aged looking.

In the same way that GTAV started with a flashback (or at least, it skipped a span of several years), RDR2 could move between stories in time, to develop the characters and the backstories, and to show the relationships and resolution of revenge across the years. This is even easier for a video game than it is for movies, since the virtual characters can be properly aged for the different points in the timeline. Actually, the original Red Dead started when the protag was a kid.

If the game were single player only, ranches and towns in the map could also have a different design for earlier and later in time. But since it's all about online, I don't think that Rockstar will go to the extra effort of a time-phased story. They only got away with it in GTAV because the past time, North Yankton parts are completely off limits.

This just reaffirms my wish to see more official artwork; up close and detailed of the characters involved. They are normally very cool, and it'd be fun to speculate what's behind them since they aren't normally in-game shots. I can live without proper screenshots and a trailer for a while longer.

I think it'll be funny if it turns out that it isn't him. He's probably like, "Who are all of these RDR nutjobs that are talking about me?"

21 guests right now, hi R*

Most of them are actually probably from people to have followed a link on Twitter etc. Sure, they might browse this topic from time to time but I doubt they are constantly refreshing the page checking up on us.

It´s a joke about the thread being more active than it normaly is...

Haha yeah, if he's not involved...well, Roger Clark we're getting you some free publicity! You got a good voice range and a handsome face, partner.

If the guy that you all are all talking about is in-fact the actor that does the voice, then I wonder if we'll end up causing him to get in trouble with Rockstar.

Yeah sometimes I feel a bit guilty like I hope no one gets in any serious trouble or jeopardises themselves over this stuff, then again it's not in our control if the information is out there, we just happen to find it. It's not like it actually reveals anything about the game, only serves to get us more excited and impatient, lol.

OK, now you guys did it. Rockstar crisis team meeting in NYC right now. completely unhinged that the fanbase actually found some game information. They are already deciding to rewrite the story with a new protag; two year delay estimated.

Doubt anyone will be in trouble because if this weren't allowed, Rockstar would be very clear about it in their contracts. Unless their contracts are pretty crap and they can't even enforce them properly.

I'm really glad we're finally finding stuff, all the V pre-release feels are coming back, from when we didn't even know who the balcony guy was until we all found Ned Luke! And then the casting call!

The date of that image has got me looking again! Notice how on Rogers resume that he hasn't listed anything since 2014 other than an hour long documentary voice over released last year... now I can't remember specifics but didn't V shoot for around 2+ years? If he is involved in a lead role surely that would take up a lot of time that he couldn't exactly put down on his resume yet.

2014 does seem like a sensible timeframe for VA recording and mocap. The V casting call had been posted in 2011 I think.

I feel a casting call for RDR2 is probably well hidden or well deleted by now. It'd be great to see though.
