Was it not 12 PM? It's usually 12 PM EST/5 PM GMT when they release stuff. When the trailer came we were in daylight savings still?

Not sure if Daylight saving has changed since then, I'll check it out.

Because we were in Daylight Savings time till the end of October. When we're in DST, announcements are at 4 PM, outside of it, they're at 5 PM. R* might've released it at 11 AM EST to compensate.

Ah, S-V was correct, they had DS and went 1 hour back in November (after traler release): https://www.timeanddate.com/time/change/usa/new-york

 

So it's 12ET or 5GMT (1.5 hrs from now).

Well little bit of excitement is better than none at all. I'm just looking at the GI cover reveal and seeing what it could be...might not know until next week though.

I was flicking through GI covers and noticed RDR doesn't have one, strange.

Yeah, one of the only times in recent times a new Rockstar game didn't have a cover story despite Max Payne 3, L.A Noire and GTAV having them. It could of just been the timing as I believe the Max Payne 3 cover story was shortly after RDR was announced and having 2 covers dedicated to 1 studio within a year might look dubious or favortism. lol

 

That and well RDR was something new and nobody really knew how it would be. I remember foreign gaming magazines having more details and art/screens for the game than some of the US mags and gaming outlets at the time. Lol

Makes sense, but why the hell was MP3 cover in 2009 lol? I know they had a delay but 3 years before release is something else

Yeah similar situation as GTAV really, announced it way too soon than necessary. They announced MP3 with a poster and release window of Winter 2009...then nothing until the GI cover in June 2009 and it was clear the game was very early from the screens. It then missed 2009 and in 2010 the game looked to get a bit of a change as the artwork, and Max model, changed and the game didn't resurface until April 2011 with a Edge cover story.

We're all just speculating because some pieces of the puzzle seem to fit but it's unlikely anything will happen. Oh well, it's fun. :p

I don't get it neither ... I'd be shocked if R* releases some info on RDR2 today. First new info I expect in March, not before so let us bring the hype train to a stop for now :lol:
