I see the February cover was already revealed earlier in the month, so get hype for something soon for March?!

I still think it's just they "forgot" to follow them back in the day, it makes no sense that they wouldn't after years and years of R* covers being there. Even the editors-in-chief follow R* and I think R* follows them.

The timing is still extremely suspicious. Even if they forgot how come they remembered just now with all these rumours. I mean they'd have to go on GI twitter page first to realise they weren't following them...

 

Anyway Thursday is the day the release stuff at 11/12am ET or 4/5pm GMT. Less than 20 hours to go.

The guy who runs the @GTAonlineNews Twitter said they did the same thing with IGN in 2014, unfollowed and followed. Odd indeed.

I still think it's connected to the GTA Online news at least, unless it was all super duper coordinated. Also, what was there in 2014 from IGN?

That's always the right mindset when things seem too good. At least we won't feel bad about it. Rockstar are really kings of deception, expect disappointment, eventually get surprised.

Well they retweeted an article about GTA Online and its "record" players today by Game Informer and also followed them. Not sure if this means anything but thought I'd mention it.

It does look like they've retweeted some Gameinformer articles so that could possibly explain the follow.

 

 

 

On the other hand, community managers following an outlet could indicate upcoming scheduled posts? Depending on their social media management tool - they may have to follow @gameinformer to be able to tag them in the scheduled tweets.

 

It looks like they use one called Percolate for most scheduled tweets, never tried it myself

Hah. Interesting connection but it is a marketing management software. That scheduled post theory is really interesting too, but I'm 100% sure they followed them before so it's still weird. I guess we'll know today, but don't be disappointed if nothing happens!

Was it not 12 PM? It's usually 12 PM EST/5 PM GMT when they release stuff. When the trailer came we were in daylight savings still?
