Red Dead Redemption 2: Discussion & Speculation (Part 1)

there not going to remaster it, the game code for RDR is too messed up, which is why we never got a PC port

Whenever someone talks about a RDR2 remaster, this is what you should tell them.

I just pray that there is no RD: O.

I'm still salty about GTA: O and the lack of SP content.

EDIT: Well, I'd be okay with RD: O. In fact, I'd likely enjoy it to some extent. I just don't want there to be a lack of SP content.

yea RDR2 did have muiltiplayer, they just didn't go overboard.

The person in charge of the PR must feel popular as f*ck right now.

Hes probably thinking: "the power of my fingertips"

There won't be a Red Dead Online... You can just drop that subject. lol

I'll be damned if I pay for the Red Dead spinoff of a Shark Card. We gonna blow $20 or $50 on coins now?

Good thing they've had 6 years to figure out how to unf*ck it, right?

:p

Great month so far.

A new Rockstar title teased and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories gets the 10th Anniversary treatment by heading to select phones/tablets at the end of the month.

snip-

Damn, I don't know why vids aren't showing up? I thought I did it correctly.

You need to insert the full YT link, not the shortened form.

Btw, Brian Altano from IGN spent a friday evening 1 week ago at Rockstars NY HQ (https://www.instagram.com/p/BLPkjKNA6cp/).

My guess is that the gaming media has already seen the game and that most likely means it's close.

There was a livestream that week that included IGN journalists.

The Map is going to be so fully detailed. I can feel it

With the power of the next generation consoles and PC, Rockstar will make their most detailed game through Red Dead.

It'll be their first stand alone game on the 'next' gen consoles. I can't f*cking wait.

It's amazing how R* can just post a re-colored logo and have half the internet feeding out of the palm of their hands.

I love it.

The online mode is actually what I mostly played in RDR after I had finished the campaign for the first time. I just hope that it won't be an unbalanced mess that tries to bait people into buying micro-transactions like GTA Online tho I kinda feel like it will since it's made them a bunch of money. Then again I can't see the formula working as well in Red Dead since we can't just spend our money on super cars and sh*t.

As quiet as they've been, and those map leaks a few months back, id speculate the game is damn near completion. The PR team obviously got the green light to upload it.

This is actually a good point considering V's numerous delays, R* faced a lot of criticism for that so for a teaser to be released might mean they're a lot nearer the end of development.

Still, this is Rockstar we're talking about, it'd be a miracle if there were no problems releasing it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

to be fair, it's not just rockstar now is it?

Can we stop with the non-preview YouTube links? I wanna know what the link is before I waste my time lol.

But let's be honest, this RD game will have micro transactions. It's made Rockstar a lot of money with GTA V. Regardless of how online will be played out (I just hope we have more customization options) I'm still gonna play it a f*ck ton.

So guyz what's your bet on trailer release date?

Tuesday? Thursday? Any other day for surprise effect?

Tomorrow, Tuesday or Thursday.

Depends on if they tease more tomorrow or go all in with a trailer and info.

I personally think we're getting a formal press release tomorrow and a countdown for a trailer at the end of this week or beginning of next.

the shark card model wouldn't really make sense in red dead, also what are they going to release in dlc's? a chromed out horse dlc? who would even buy that? wait.. nevermind...

On point. I think Rockstar have been quiet for long enough and we should get a trailer very soon.

I just love how you could meet up with your friends and ride off and do whatever you wanted. I hope they put in a housing system in the Online aspect. I'd love to become a 'rancher', maybe some RPG elements there as well. Or if you want to live in the city with a Model T or Model A car, that maxes out at 25 MPH lol

Who's to know what year the game is set. RDR had undrivable cars, things can change now.

I just hope you guys stop preordering games just because of hype, that's why the gaming industry nowadays is soo messed up, 2015 and 2016 were terrible years.

Decided to reward myself with a Dominoes after a long, hard day of Red Dead sh*tposting.

Lo' and behold look what I gaze atop the pizza box..

I give Yan permission to post this on his twitter, credits to me of course.

MrBossFTW however does not have my permission to analyse this in his next 2 hour Youtube video.

Its Rockstar. I've preordered every game they've released since 2004.

But things are different now. Amazon offers 20% off new games for pre order, plus my employee discount. So I won't be disappointed.
