The draw distance will be insane.

I forgot how good MGSV looked, especially considering it runs at 60fps.

I'm sure R* won't disappoint us. :')

i thought MGSV looked pretty bad

Ok, which games look as good as MGSV while running at a locked 60fps?

im sorry im not a pc gamer. but on ps4 the game looks like sh*t

It's an open world game that runs at 60fps on consoles, dude. Of course it's not going to look as good as linear 30fps games.

im not talking about linear games. GTA V looks better, Witcher 3 looks way better, hell AC Black Flag looked better than MGSV. IT just wasn't good to me granted i never made it out of Afghanistan cause i hated the game so much, but the area in Afghan was sh*tty to me. I will say it did look better than fallout 4 thoughHow do you still not know the difference between a 60fps game and a 30fps one? I'm done.

I'm almost positive at this point that we are gonna see the robbery where John gets shot, mark my words. It may not happen in the trailer this morning but if this game is really a prequel we will definitely see it happen.

I'm curious to see if they'll finally use a new engine, it's been a decade since they introduced the RAGE engine.

I must say there were a lot of know-it-all gamer elitists that were jumping all over anyone calling it "Red Dead Redemption 2" before it was announced...

how does humble pie taste?

Never the less its a stupid uncreative name

More like an easier name to market.Having a stupid name and being easy to market aren't mutually exclusive

It's not a stupid name though. The only people unhappy with the name and calling it stupid are just butt hurt that they were wrong.

I am very eager and anticipatory to view the full extent of the Red Dead Redemption: 2 footage tomorrow morning. :)

It is sure to be picturesque and unprecedented in the realms of geography, verticality, scope, graphical fidelity, depth of field, draw distance, tesselation, volumetric lighting, and microcosmic detailing, the latter of which is always just one cornerstone of astonishment, with a Rockstar creation.

My postulation is such that Red Dead Redemption: 2's debut trailer will tap into the truest and rawest epitome of Current-Gen and realism, as vested by Rockstar's own lexicon of those words. This trailer, and ultimately the finalized iteration of this game, will serve as a benchmark of transcendence, in that it will definitely be a good determinant of, with all due respect to the nature of this thread, the power that Grand Theft Auto: VI will be able to churn out within a few years time. :)

Also pertaining to the Red Dead Redemption: 2 trailer, I really do think that Rockstar is going to seamlessly blow away Red Dead and Grand Theft Auto fans collectively, from the character renderings of John Marston and company to the R.A.G.E. engine, right down to the intricacies of an equestrian's leg structure, tail and the glistening ends of spurs.

It really is exciting for everybody because this will be the first time within three years, that we will be able to gauge just how the structure of a Rockstar game has matured and will operate on Current-Gen platforms. The absence of the previously encountered limitations and other impediments will really enable Rockstar to drive and enhance the immersive experience that many have been so yearning to reach.

Saddle up and brace yourselves, ladies and gentlemen. :)

Rockstar North's arsenal is still very much locked and loaded, much like the 6-shooter revolver that you will brandish within your very own arsenal, as you trek through Rockstar's revitalized portal of the Wild Wild West.

This new perspective and true transition of Rockstar's gaming framework into the altruistically and unutterably spellbinding world of true Next-Gen drive, power and torque has been so sought after.

It really has, and definitely by myself. :) In principle and execution, Rockstar had intended for the framework of Grand Theft Auto: V to be Next-Gen. Such as with the Emergency Lighting System. The aura of the Last-Gen iteration of the game was just that, but the spark of the accelerant had to be scaled accordingly. It was a near-miss. Current-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V then proceeded to persevere in the pursuit of a near Next-Gen experience and prominently facilitate more spark to that accelerant. Vehicle interiors were enriched, crisp vegetation populated select quadrants of barren landscape

So many fancy words, lol. I don't even understand 90% of them. :p

I don't think he does, either, hahahaha! That was a hilarious read. He's gotta be pretending to have Aspergers, or something. It really was a genius work of comedy. Kudos!

Sounds awfully pretentious. Probably a thesaurus warrior or something.

Sounded like a well-targeted parody of those pompous, pretentious, overly-literary film reviews. I liked the tone and a lot of the word choices.

Trailer lenght guesses? I'd say 1:29min

I think hat trailer should have same length as first GTA V trailer (or half of it)

I hope they make trailer identical as they did with GTA V :

- show us main protagonist/s,

- one or two towns and some terrain (forest/ mountain etc.)

- show things we can expect and show us what we can do

- show us horses, stagecoach etc.

Woke up to the news that Nintendo will show the NX one hour before the RDR2 trailer today lmao
In the end of the day no one will care about NX and only care about the epic RDR2 trailer, Nintendo making dumb moves like usually :miranda:

I can't wait to see how they've improved upon hunting - which was arguably one of my favorite activities in RDR. Even after I was done with a playthrough, I'd sink in a good 100 hours or so of hunting in Tall Trees and selling the meat/pelts.

I think I accumulated around $100,000 in game (which is quite a lot, considering the game's economy).

After branching off a save game of RDR before John Marston's final "mission," I spent many nights of high value RDR replay with John just starting bounty hunts and then getting distracted along the way by hunting, random events, and just experiencing the world.

I accumulated over $50K, mostly from hunting, by the time that the GTAV hype train got going and I moved on to other things.

The bounty hunts are like small but well-structured gang wars, surprisingly fun, at interesting locations all over the map, and provide some structure to the replay.

Finally, one other thing adding replay value that should be mentioned - interiors. There are enough interiors that we can freely walk into, to make the world even more real and less gamelike.

Obviously, we want 10X as much of everything in the RDR2 single player or in an equally rich free-roam mode.

I'm kinda hoping for another town like Blackwater, era depending, but this time I hope they make it far more teeming and vibrant.

They could have analogies to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Boston of the age - maybe overlay Assassin's Creed 3 a little bit. Maybe even have some missions on boats / sailing ships / steamboats / barges, and maybe John Marston will have learned how to swim.

Going to watch Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid before the trailer drops. Something tells me Houser is going to reference this.

Hey ... less than 5 hours left. Still at work and I won't be home in time to watch the trailer when it goes live :( But make sure to watch it at the official Rockstar youtube channel. We want to break GTA V debut trailer views record, right!

Only a couple of hours left now. I bet it will have at least 5 mil views on the first day amd it will be trending on YT.

I also expect the NX video to trend on YT. Sick of seeing political videos everywhere.
