New Theory that I have...i think the center protagonist is a Lawman, He looks much "groomed" and "cleaner" than the other guys

maybe he is some double agent works with Dutch's gang and does his own thing as well

Good luck John, you're an angry and a feck ugly man, but not a bad one.

Oh boy. Yes, that really gets me going... those scenes, the dialogue, the scenery, the music... the moments. Yes, I desperatly want a remaster just so I can play it again before the new one.

God I miss that world...

If the map was real, and it's just slightly north of the last map. How are we going to deal with knowing whats below the most southern point of the new map.

They wouldn't do that to us surely... All that area that we have previously explored, unexplorable...

Unless of course the '2' in red dead redemption 2 isn't a sh*t title after all and is more significant than we actually realise.

I must say there were a lot of know-it-all gamer elitists that were jumping all over anyone calling it "Red Dead Redemption 2" before it was announced...

how does humble pie taste?

Yeah we went over this like 40 pages. You want a cookie?

Never the less its a stupid uncreative name

Im not a MASSIVE red dead fan like you obviously are...

I clicked on the thread and said my piece.... and yes I WOULD like a cookie

Thanks for contributing absolutely nothing.

Now back to the GTA Online forums with you.

I am curious..

What would be one major thing shown in tomorrow's trailer that would instantly derail your hype train? For me it would be if they showed more advanced technology such as cars. As in, we're a bit further into the future than in Redemption. I love having to use horses and possibly a train now and then. Cars would just ruin it for me. The small car part in Redemption was alright.

"RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 HAS MOUNTAINS! LOS SANTOS CONFIRMED!!????!?!?!?!?!?"

If I see someone get shot and then they drop on the floor and moan as if it was taken straight from GTAV. Thats where my hype would crash and burn.

Red Dead needs good physics. I dont think it could work without it

@DeeDogg_: In regards to the physics, I think if it's set somewhere between GTA IV and GTA V, it would be a perfect balance. RDR felt a bit too "stiff" for me, especially when fist fighting NPC's.

I just remembered RDR's gore, where headshots would actually result in visible brain leaking out of NPC's skulls (and I remember how shocking it was for me when I first played the game). For some odd reason or another, GTA V didn't include that small touch. It probably has to do with the spaghetti western theme, if I had to guess.

I can't wait to see how they've improved upon hunting - which was arguably one of my favorite activities in RDR. Even after I was done with a playthrough, I'd sink in a good 100 hours or so of hunting in Tall Trees and selling the meat/pelts.

I think I accumulated around $100,000 in game (which is quite a lot, considering the game's economy).

I hope to God its not like V. Where an animation plays when an animal attacks you and you just die.

Who thought that was a good idea?

GTA V used a system where you had to take a picture of the animal corpse. I would've rather had the RDR system, with an actual skinning animation, and not just snapping a photo of the corpse.

And in regards to the issue you mentioned, I rarely had that issue in GTA V (other than the occasional cougar lunging at me). It happened more so in RDR, which could have easily been prevented if R* bothered scripting animals not to attack you while you're skinning.

The one thing about gta5 hunting that was good, heart shots. I really hope shot placement is important when hunting in the new red dead, better yields from better shots etc

Yeah man I can't wait to see how the gore and physics look like in this one. I'll be really surprised if there was actually dismemberment like if you shot a shotgun at someones head.

I sure will be pissed if they don't keep the gore and make it even gorier. That was a great asset in RDR.

I am very eager and anticipatory to view the full extent of the Red Dead Redemption: 2 footage tomorrow morning. :)

It is sure to be picturesque and unprecedented in the realms of geography, verticality, scope, graphical fidelity, depth of field, draw distance, tesselation, volumetric lighting, and microcosmic detailing, the latter of which is always just one cornerstone of astonishment, with a Rockstar creation.

My postulation is such that Red Dead Redemption: 2's debut trailer will tap into the truest and rawest epitome of Current-Gen and realism, as vested by Rockstar's own lexicon of those words. This trailer, and ultimately the finalized iteration of this game, will serve as a benchmark of transcendence, in that it will definitely be a good determinant of, with all due respect to the nature of this thread, the power that Grand Theft Auto: VI will be able to churn out within a few years time. :)

Also pertaining to the Red Dead Redemption: 2 trailer, I really do think that Rockstar is going to seamlessly blow away Red Dead and Grand Theft Auto fans collectively, from the character renderings of John Marston and company to the R.A.G.E. engine, right down to the intricacies of an equestrian's leg structure, tail and the glistening ends of spurs.

It really is exciting for everybody because this will be the first time within three years, that we will be able to gauge just how the structure of a Rockstar game has matured and will operate on Current-Gen platforms. The absence of the previously encountered limitations and other impediments will really enable Rockstar to drive and enhance the immersive experience that many have been so yearning to reach.

This new perspective and true transition of Rockstar's gaming framework into the altruistically and unutterably spellbinding world of true Next-Gen drive, power and torque has been so sought after.

It really has, and definitely by myself. :) In principle and execution, Rockstar had intended for the framework of Grand Theft Auto: V to be Next-Gen. Such as with the Emergency Lighting System. The aura of the Last-Gen iteration of the game was just that, but the spark of the accelerant had to be scaled accordingly. It was a near-miss. Current-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V then proceeded to persevere in the pursuit of a near Next-Gen experience and prominently facilitate more spark to that accelerant. Vehicle interiors were enriched, crisp vegetation populated select quadrants of barren landscape and the assets of the game were cladded with a greater degree of depth. Though such implementations were made, Grand Theft Auto: V wanted more, and Rockstar themselves wanted to see this come to fruition.

Therefore, the emergence of Red Dead Redemption: 2 does indeed warrant appreciation, jubilation and celebration because it is truly a redemption in and of itself of another great game license, authored by Rockstar.

But, there is also another such reason, indeed a profound reason in its own, justified respect. :)

Upon the contingency of Red Dead Redemption: 2, which was marked by yesterday's official announcement, and the unveil of tomorrow's trailer. We are officially ushered into the prologue of the Current-Gen era of Rockstar Games, as vested by Red Dead Redemption: 2.

The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 emblems will stand abreast, plastered on promotions, advertisements and trailers.

From this point forward, awesomeness will only beget more awesomeness. :) In the context of Rockstar Games that will mean new physics, animations, character models, shaders, more realistic textures, perhaps more realistic sound effects, and definitely a fully revamped R.A.G.E. engine.

I fully acknowledge that this is an influx of words and thoughts to digest, but writing is a great form of expression, and I am undoubtedly very excited, even as a 25-year-old adult about this.:)

From DMA Design to its present form, Rockstar Games has truly come so far, hurdling over obstacles, retaining it's fanbase by and large, and doing well not to capsize. At times, it has been arduous for then, but here they stand operational and ready to touch base and deliver yet another milestone.

Upon letting all of that sink in, saddle up and brace yourselves, ladies and gentlemen. :) Rockstar North's arsenal is still very much locked and loaded, much like the 6-shooter revolver that you will brandish within your very own arsenal, as you trek through Rockstar's revitalized portal of the Wild Wild West.

I want them to bring back the injury physics RDR and IV had, where npcs would limp and hold their limb depending where you shot them. Also the shooting the off hats and pistols out their hand.

I like how Rockstar gave everyone one day to chill before releasing the trailer/any more info. Gives people a day to relax before the hype builds up again tomorrow.

Anyway looking forward to this trailer. Rockstar has a knack for producing top quality trailers, should be great.

implying my hype isn't building up as it is

I'm gonna be apesh*t hyped watching the trailer also, but as you say, they are good at producing trailers. Too good. The downside of this is that they are also good at mixing camera angles, and cutscenes interspersed with live action, that imply sequences and dynamics that are quite not like that in the actual game. I expect this. It's fun and easy to edit together video sequences and add sound that make almost any game or movie seem like more than it actually turns out to be.

Again ... I see the following characters on the artwork: John Marston, Edgar Ross, Dutch Van der Linde, ?, Bill Williamson, Landon Ricketts, Vincente de Santa

I cannot understand that people still believe RDR2 won't be a prequel - story wise - to RDR.

thats not Edgar Ross, and most likely not Landon since John didn't know him until MexicoThe guy in the middle is Liam Neeson. Edited by DarksunDaFirst

I do, only because Marston was highlighted in the RDR reveal trailer in 2009. That one was 1 minute 30 seconds long...I hope this one is longer!
