So I think I may have just made a big mistake- I just bought the coke business, did the setup mission, went away, came back a few hours later- down to three supply, zero product produced. From what I read above there is some kind of bug- is that whats going on here? Any workarounds for it?

Anyone know of a solution or workaround to the above problem?

Take a screen of how much money you made with a Coke (should be zero) just to proof you have bought the business recently

I did that, and in response they asked me for video. Are you kidding me? You want me to download capture software just to prove there's a problem with your game?

I know! They'll be asking us to Fedex them VHS copies next.

It's a trap! They'll likely just ban you for using 3rd party software on their game.

Well IF you're on PS4, you can record it with the built-in recording feature? I've only recorded a few heist finales recently when doing a CMC run with some guys but never looked at the footage.

I don't know if everything shows up on a video like that, but again if you are on PS4, maybe give that a try anyway?

I'm just kind of curious as to what their response would be if someone actually bothered to capture on video something that they should be fixing.

I'm on PC. I'm curious too, but its just not worth the effort to me to gownload fraps again, restart the business, do the setup, wait, do a resupply run, all to prove what they must already know, given how widespread the bug was. They just don't want to refund me for the business and are counting on making it too complicated for me to do so (and unfortunately, their assessment of how much I care is correct.) If someone else has video of the coke business bug and wants to send it to me, I'd be happy to submit it.

Fair enough. Seems to me that you can make plenty of money alternating between VIP missions, special crates and car exports anyway. Maybe with heist or contact missions for variety.

IIRC it has been noted that for the start up some of the supplies just vanish

i've also seen a bug for the Sandy shores coke where you are caped at about 75% (so you will always be missing little more then a bar) in which case the best course of action is to sell your product and shut down the business. when you start it back up it should fix the bug

Has anyone already made an in-depth analysis on all the taxes and staffs charges according to business? If so can anyone point me out? Is there any cost difference between same business on different locations?

I started to notice that my money is draining fast and don't know exactly why. I know that for meth, cash and coke I'm paying around 26k for staff but a lot of times It doesn't warn me and just subtract it. Same for assistant, clubhouse, mechanic, office and yatch crew, this is driving me nuts

Finally shut down my coke business. Between the supply bugs and the constant phone calls, it was more of a burden than anything. Hopefully they patch it up.

Biker businesses were decent when they came out, were actually pretty good during the bonus-period before Import/Export, but once 1.37 dropped they broke to the point of absurdity.

2 questions someone may be able to answer for me. No I didn't look past the first page, call me lazy or ignorant.

1. When my friends are helping sell my product, usually they make the basic amounts from 16k-40k or whatever the range is. But recently they have only been making small amounts from 2k-9k, on all of them consecutively. I am selling them all with full blue bar product, and it happens even with the harder selling vehicles. Anyone know why? It sucks cause I'm helping my best friend and brother in law make money as they are level 20's.

2. Is there any way to change your "favourite motorcycle"? The one that gives you bonuses? I assumed it was the one you ride the most, and if you ride another bike longer it changes. But I have been using my shotaro far longer than the defiler that is set to my favourite and it hasn't changed.

Thanks!

I understand why they do it. but it can be a problem when one gets screwed over and doesn't have the foresight to record it (or in the case of PC the inability)

Almost happened to me when R* rule of thumb of the self destruct car when your all of a sudden the last person in the lobby cost me a Blackfin that i was sourcing. thankfully i already knew through youtube i could submit a ticket

Somewhere along the line post MC there was an update that tweaked the game so that you can get billed while in the middle of a job/race which i dont recall being a thing before. So this could be part of the issue?

Starting to wonder why I keep my meth lab open. Not having any bugs or anything, it's just turning into a hassle. I'll be in the groove doing CEO work and I'll get a phone call and have to fly to the desert to spend $75k and then fly back to continue what I was doing. The margins are so slim when buying supplies ($200k profit, or less, every five hours or so) and I'm sure as hell not putting the lucrative CEO stuff on the back burner to make supply runs. Plus I can do all of my CEO work solo including warehouse sales so I don't have to spend 10 minutes trying to round up players to help like I do with the meth lab.

I think I just talked myself into it. After this next batch is sold I'm shutting 'er down until the MC businesses are improved in some way to make it worthwhile.

All businesses (eg Cocaine) charge the same regardless of location, Document is about $1000 and Cocaine is about $9000, everything else would fall in-between, with the max total being $30000.

Initially the charges used to concern me, but if you are working the businesses in an efficient way, you will be making far more than it costs you, so don't worry about it.

Not sure what these yacht charges are that you speak of?

If you are losing money then, it's more likely down to firing unnecessary costly RPGs etc?

---

I remember being billed during jobs/missions often, so I think you may have just not noticed it before.

1. It has been discussed/investigated (in this thread I think) and afaik the conclusion was that the payouts are random.

2. Fav bike should be the one you ride most, but there is a bug that prevents this from working.

Here is my collection of tips related to the Bikers Business after the Import/Export DLC:

The video covers things such as:

- Preventing attacks on businesses after a sale (in short: you need to disband the MC quickly)

- Stealing supplies from Tequi-la-la without being hit

- Using Wastelander to sell the product loaded on bikes

- Using the Ramp Buggy / Mule combo to sell the product loaded on bikes

- Stealing the Lazer Jet to speed up the boat selling mission (the one that goes through the canyon)

Tip I forgot to include in the video:

- Don't put sticky bombs on the armored trucks, shoot the lock with a silenced weapon instead - it saves you ~1k of ammo each time and receives less attention.

Sorry, they've nerfed the businesses so much there is virtually no profit to be had in it. Last time I bought supplies for my coke business they charged me $90,000. I shut it down.

I'm not sorry I bought them, I made millions off the three best businesses in Blaine Co, but it's time to bail on them now. I make more on I/E.

0:39 what business gives you that vehicle for selling mission?

It was Weed, but I don't think it's linked to a specific business. I believe I had the same with cocaine. There are biker NPCs chasing you, but they can't do much :)

This is true, I knew it was too easy to make money so I completely raped it for those first two months (free supplies and 50% extra on sales) and made myself a neat $65 million off it. As I predicted they would, they stopped it all, never-mind.

I've never had that one so must have come out after the last update. Funny how they put things in the DLC but it never triggered for anyone during the first two months of it being out.

It's there from the beginning but it's rare for coke and meth, just got one time for meth but several for fake cash. It's the easiest deliver by far, you can do in 5 minutes.

Your mistakes are that you are buying the supplies. If you have 1 friend and steal it, you won't have to worry about how long it takes to fill them and it doesn't cost anything. Buying supplies is the easy way out. That's how you play the game. If you're looking for a handout then you're playing the wrong game.

Well thats part of your problem. that fact that you primarily are working in the city but have to go to sandy shores to do anything. I keep all of my stuff in the city (spread out but still in the city) and i still find it manageable. so manageable that i actually went ahead and bought meth (started with coke)

the 90k is a glitch probably from your workers continuing to work after there is no product. your only supposed to be charged 75k (ive only seen the 90k twice even though i usually let my coke run dry)

and by that point my meth is at about 2 and a half bars so i go over and resupply that while im at it

It costs time, and if you have more productive things you could be doing in that same amount of time then it's not really worth it, especially for your friend who doesn't get diddly squat for his effort.

And it (stealing supplies) has even been nerfed. No point in stealing supplies if you only get half a bar on a run. So I can spend an entire session doing nothing but stealing supplies, and only get enough to be able to sell maybe 2 bars of product (if I'm lucky). And I'm still getting griefed by "disconnected due to unknown network error" about 50% of the time I try to sell.

Or I can continue to source 100% high end cars on I/E.
