As CEO's, MC needs an ability to go off radar aswell because of the ammount of jet griefers there are in almost every session.

A group of 8 players just going POOF is totally unfair though.....

 

I get why you want to go ghost but others could use it to easily slaughter other players.

Why not? I being a lonely player, how am i supposed to counter jet griefers ( not mentioning the rest of the gang guys) carrying cargo all by my self ?

Not being solo is the answer I guess. Or finding/lagging out into your own public session.

 

The distances you have to travel with the new businesses is clearly designed for more people unfortunately.

 

The jet is a problem of it's own though

But the whole point is that you are supposed to have a gang of people around you to provide protection, it has always been the way with GTAO, activities are designed around groups of people working together.

Seems like turning invisible and hiding doesn't tally well with MCs image of themselves. Not a good fit.

Ok, al rite, i get the off radar doesnt fit MC's, but the real problem is the Hydra, im okay with running away from 8 guys chasing me with their bikes/cars , jumping around stunting thro the mountains would be cool this kind of chase, but Jets, they just come, doesnt even need to aim right, and BAM! No mission for you!

MCs aren't meant for the lone wolf player, it's easy to see that from how R* designed it so you need members in certain positions to spawn in certain things, start missions etc.

MCs don't need Ghost Org because you (can) have 8 players all equipped with Homing Launchers and Heavy Snipers and if you can't make short work of a jet with that many people you were doomed anyway.

Logic doesn't work in these types of threads although I have wondered why remove wanted level and cops turn a blind eye aren't available to mcs like everyone else.

Get a jet;

Call Lester;

Go back to MC.

 

Unless there's a cooldown involved that I'm not aware of.

I was more referring to those abilities during mc missions. You can't quit the mc during missions. As CEO you have these abilities available but unless it's a pledge ability I haven't seen them available.

Does Off The Radar hide whatever you're carrying, or is it like CEO work and you end up with a speedy red crate on the map?

 

I was very surprised at how few options I got as President :/

Bikers are nothing compared to CEO and VIP. They are very vulnerable and they operate like idiots. I like to see a properly ran gang. I swear they were put in this game to get killed and I do all of my resupply missions in a super car. Knock bikers off their bikes? No problem. The Pfister can do that easily even when the biker is running at top speed, I can mow them down in my super fast cars.

 

The same goes for biker gangs. If they come at me then I can easily outrun them or mow them down.

 

I've seen 6 of them come after me at the same time and I can usually kill 4 of them before they kill me. If they want to stalk then I can get into my Buzzard.

 

Being on a bike is the most vulnerable thing ever and now I understand why they give them that mini-grenade that they can shoot off their bikes.

 

Nobody should be doing resupply missions or anything on a bike. The dangers of getting to the meeting point is horrible. If you hit something then expect to flyoff or die. Then have to chase your bike that flew off the highway.

They are not going poof tho. Just not appering in the radar.

 

And to be honest.. That radar and always on blips is bullsh*t..

Damn. You can have 8 vs 1 with friendly fire off so no lock on friends and you still want to be hidden.

Inside Los Santos i usually dont have problems with the Hydra because you can get cover pretty easy with buildings, but out in Blaine Country there's no much to do, I own MC and Labs there, Jets come, just aim at your way with the explosive cannon and just f*ck you no matter your effort to evade it, the explosive cannon is the REAL imbalance. I'm ok with missiles since they're dodgeable.

Ghost Organization is kind of too expensive to be a viable way of protecting your work from jets though. You use it, and you've already lost however much you would've made.

 

It's more just for fighting, in my opinion.

The gang to equip homing launchers (lets say it "would be effective" against Jets lol) and heavy sniper must stop the bike to start "trying" to hit the Jet, and by that making they stationary so the Jet come and kill everyone in the same way.

 

Hydra is not balanced against ppl doing missions on ground, theres no argue in that, or R* nerf the explosive cannon, or they implement some sort of AA more effective than homing launcher.

If you already know there's a jet on the way you can park your bikes ahead of time. Any mission critical vehicles can be parked out of the way of jet fire - Yes, this is possible even in Blaine County if you have enough time to figure out a place to put it.

There is no situation in which eight players should need ghost org to fight off a single jet.

I disagree, players who use it to get away from griefers is fair game. They're the ones missing out on events, griefers abusing passive will just be penalizing those who don't.

 

We need President and VP helicopters more than ghost org IMO.

One of the things I think would help is not to eliminate jets. But take away their ability to see players on the radar. If you are in a jet/helicopter your radar is off & you can't see the players on the ground. I think that would make it at least a little more difficult, but also not take away someone's ability to use a jet. Make the people in the jets actually have to hunt or use ground vehicles to take out rival crews/MC or CEOs.

This is just an example of how this game has a lot of interesting pieces that don't fit very well together.

 

At a glance, it's puzzling that CEO orgs get ghost organization and MCs do not. The work is similar in how it's designed, and you're more exposed - the work is wider-ranging (CEO crates stick to the city, but MC work will take you from Paleto Bay to Los Santos and back), and you're more often forced to use vehicles that expose you to attack. I know I'd much rather do an in-city Brickade sale with one destination, or a Titan sale with 10 drops, vs. the common MC sale of three slow aircraft/vans that have to go to checkpoints spread all over the map. MC sales take longer and without ghost org, a single jet can doom you.

 

It would seem like the obvious solution is to give MCs ghost organization or something like it. And I wouldn't bet against Rockstar eventually doing that. But the real problem is all the unbalanced horsesh*t that makes ghost org necessary in the first place. Just to cite a few of the most blatant examples:

 

1. Why can you call in a privately-owned Hydra at will with no cooldown or restrictions, and why are there still no viable counters to the Hydra? (Suggested solution: nerf the Hydra by replacing its explosive rounds with a high-damage minigun, and/or let Merryweather mercs scramble NPC jets to take down pilots.) This has always been a problem but their continued additions of free roam work where you are totally exposed has thrown it into very sharp relief.

 

2. Why can CEOs call in Buzzards to ANY location with only a minimal cooldown, while MCs can only call for bikes? A CEO with a Buzzard and ghost org can f*ck an entire MC sale up all by himself. I'll admit that I find the CEO Buzzards super-useful and lean on them, but there is no balance between this and the MC abilities. Once the novelty of the MC stuff wears off, all the griefers and tryhards will go back to being in a CEO org all the time, simply for the abilities which make the MC ones look like a joke. Yet the MC abilities are much more in keeping with original GTA design, IMO. (Suggested solution: calling in CEO vehicles needs a longer cooldown after one is destroyed. 5 minutes makes a lot more sense to me than 2 minutes, for such a powerful ability. And reduce ghost org from 3 minutes to 2, while reducing the cost accordingly.)

 

3. Why did they ever make it so that homing missiles from attack aircraft lock onto player-driven ground vehicles? It makes Buzzards nasty and Hydras even more of a nightmare than they already are. Maybe this was meant to offset the homing launcher, but that POS never should have been added in the first place. (Suggested solution: revert this to how it used to be, where you can only lock onto aircraft. And while you're at it, nerf the stupid homing launcher. It doesn't work against jets anyway so it can afford to be much less effective against everything else.)

 

My take after a couple of days with it is that the Bikers update is one of the best they've added - but to truly enjoy it, you need a nearly-full MC with members designated just to fly around in jets and Buzzards protecting the rest of you, or the lobby will eat you alive. That kind of goes against the whole point of an MC. If they had added this DLC to the earliest incarnation of GTA Online - last gen, pre-Heists update - it would have been great. As it stands now, it's great with a massive asterisk, which is that you have to fight a nightmare battle to protect yourself from the free roam warriors and wannabe fighter pilots. IMO, if you're doing a sale with at least a few members, it should be hard for people to take you down; the balance should be tipped in your favor since it's your time and money on the line. Instead the advantage is CLEARLY on the side of the asshole who is registered as a CEO just to have access to the abilities, and is using a jet or Buzzard non-stop. By himself, that guy is more than a match for your entire MC and its flotilla of slow, unarmed, unarmored aircraft or vans.

 

As an MC president, I'd gladly pit my club against hostile players in cars, who are limited to one minute of off-radar. That seems balanced enough, and fun for both sides. But a CEO in a Buzzard or a Hydra who can be off-radar for 4 consecutive minutes if he wants to be? GTFO, Rockstar. Re-balance your game. Even if it makes people angry, some stuff needs to finally be addressed. Maybe hire some really good players to help you test, because you clearly don't understand how miserable some people make the game for everybody else when they want to.

A CLUB IS NOT A SOLO THING

 

If you want to ghost, then call Lester to off the Radar or become a CEO and buy it..
