People overlooking the obvious because they're nitpicking details and being pedantic about your word choices. Or rather, that they have a different opinion to you and you feel the need to justify that they're wrong by saying they're being nitpicky and pedantic. I thought you'd accepted that people sometimes don't see the same thing that you do but obviously not. It's a bit pathetic frankly. Did someone bring a gun? Because shots were fired! I don't want to get into an argument with the guy but I'm sick and tired of those people who insist that they above everybody else know what a vehicle is based on. I wish they'd collectively get it into their heads that GTA vehicles are on the whole a recipe of two or three real vehicles and how much of each ingredient people see is up to them. Fictional cars they are, but based on something real. It's a bit pathetic frankly.I've had multiple people outright admit that they agreed with me about the design influences, but were arguing about me using the word "is." I thought people were intelligent enough to understand that when I say a GTA vehicle "is" some real life vehicle, that just means that it's representing its most primary influence. Most people can say "the Dominator is a Mustang" without anyone flipping out, because it's clearly supposed to represent that vehicle in GTA's alternate universe. And for the hundredth time, design is not purely subjective. You might not think a Dominator looks like a Mustang, but that doesn't make your opinion equally as valid because there are clear, objective similarities between body lines and proportions and certain details. It's also possible for two cars to not share any detail exactly but still be similar when you look at the "big picture." The '15 Mustang doesn't share a single line with an '05, but with a quick glance you can instantly tell it's a Mustang from family resemblance. Same goes for GTA counterparts. They might mix in styling elements from other cars, but quite often the overall design is still apparently from one car. Very few cars in GTA are perfect hybrids or anything approaching a truly original design. Usually it's pretty apparent, especially when it comes to the more specialised designs. Stuff like the Gargoyle and Lurcher were adapted from a single, specific vehicle IRL. What's a closer match to the Tornado than the rat rod Mach posted? Are you telling me that R* created something totally original that just happens to look exactly like it other than the bodystyle and the intake? Maybe the are just lazy and don't care that we spoil the surprises ahead of time, but I'm still hoping to see something interesting. Nothing tomorrow, Sanctus/last year's Halloween stuff by the end of the week with a new event (don't think so) 2. Two non-Halloween vehicles tomorrow, then Halloween things by the end of the week (bit optimistic, to be fair) 3. Halloween stuff starts tomorrow - Sanctus, maybe the Youga Classic, and last year's stuff (inclined to go with this one, just because I don't see R* doing two releases in the space of a few days). Where nobody is right and nobody is wrong. That's what we've been talking about as well you know. The Dominator is a Mustang. The Shotaro isn't a C-01. Its influenced by it and two other bikes.
