The whole wing mirror thing seems interesting.. I would imagine it would help the driver a lot considering they wouldn't need to turn their head to check them.

I like Shmee. I don't think he's a tool. And honestly I couldn't care less whether it's his dad's money or his money, though I'm pretty sure it's the latter. People talk sh*t about him and other car vloggers like they are the worst thing on earth and it really makes me question whoever is bashing him. There's a difference between "I just don't care for his videos" and "I hate that childish emotion in your voice. you sound like a spoiled brad" or "He's such a showoff" or any other kind of drivel people come up with. He seems really down to earth, he's not a snob, he's not rude. But I guess because he has money he's all of a sudden everything that's wrong with the world and he's all of a sudden a tasteless douche. Yup, logic.

I'm not super crazy about vlogs but not everybody who does vlogs is a narcissist. Crazy, right? I've followed him since he got his R8 Spyder back in 2012. Yes I would like more videos like what he put out back in 2013, that was really fun, but he's not as bad as people make him out to be. I really wonder what drives people's comments about him. People always have something nasty to say. Like just get a life...

wonder where you got that from :p

I'd definitely like to see fender mirrors implemented more, at least more aftermarket options for modern cars. There are some non JDM vehicles that would look great with fender mirrors.

I think I've posted a similar post here before lol and this is somewhat inspired by Scaglietti's post, which I respectfully don't agree with entirely, but I don't like Shmee, nor SupercarsofLondon, Seen Through Glass, Vehicle Virgins or any other of those relatively well-known yet unrelatable, cookie cutter, dull, safe, non-risk taking car-oriented Youtube channels that always use thumbnails consisting of retarded facial expression selfies with them pointing to a car behind them, clickbait titles with exclamation points, and way too long video length for the subject matter. I know I seemed hateful here, but if you like any of the Youtubers I described then that's awesome. No problemo there, I just don't see the appeal in them.

My unpopular opinion is that the SN95/New Edge Mustangs are beautiful. A bit biased though since I own one.

Sometimes people ask me why I still take pictures of so-called "sh*tty cars" like Civics, Integras, Camaros, Mustangs, etc. When I reply that I like all cars and not just hypercars, they get all confused. They always say something like "You're retarded, you see a Veyron every week and still take pics of sh*tty Hondas."

Is it normal to take pictures of all types of cars or am I the weird one? It seems like the "popular opinion" is just to take pictures of hypercars and nothing else.

It's not normal, but that's because 'normal' people are wrong.

Hmm, that's a bit hard to understand lol, maybe I worded it a bit weird. :/

Objective the Renault Avantime is a weird car, a coupe-styled Van.

But Renault was very courageous to build it, I like it (subjective), it is really a Design-Object.

Wonder what the hell Renault thought when they built it ''Do you know what the market wants? A 2-door cabriolet-ish minivan!''

Well, the car is senceless.
But some thousand bought it, maybe this car is a philosopycal question.

P.S.: This car looks 1 to 1 like the concept car.

The car spotting community is sh*t. I was chatting with a few people on exoticspotter about it and they seem to have the same view. It's really bad on IG. Have you looked at the conversations of some of the bigger car pages livestreams? They're all full of children calling each other names and saying the dumbest sh*t.

All I ever see are super cars. To the point where it's boring lol. I follow like 2000+ people because I'm like, I see an interesting photo and gallery and I follow. But it's all the same stuff. OMG this P1. OMG my favorite car is the LaF!

I saw someone spot an Alpina B6 and someone said "you need to take pictures of better cars lol" and I just roll my eyes. It's trash. There's no diversity. Half of these "car people" don't know sh*t about cars. I mean I try my hardest not to be arrogant or uppity and I myself am not 100% knowledgeable at the slightest, but you ask these people something specific about a car to spark some conversation and they are like "what?" or "idk what that is" some guy didn't even know what BMW Individual was when he took a picture of a Java Green BMW M3. But oh no he memorized the spec sheet of the LaFerrari and all of its colors, probably thinks it should only be red though, smh. All these dumbass little kids being the judge on what car sucks and what car is awesome based on 0-60 times and Top Gear. Everyone hates the RCF because of Jeremy Clarkson's sh*t review of it. I saw Spencer Modes' livestream where he said it was a bad car and someone said "it's not quick either" you dumbass f*ck 0-60 in 4.5 seconds is quick.

It's just crap. I get funny looks myself getting pictures of everything at a car show. There's a row of Ferraris up front and I'm getting a picture of the E28 nobody is looking at. People don't spice it up either. I see the same angles, the same detail shot angles every day. I'm learning how to get original shots. I think you post some original shots and have some great/diverse content by the way. But everything is all likes "OMG this is gonna get so many likes" "OMG i only got like 200 likes I don't know what happened" "who took this photo better, me or X" who cares?

It sucks I have sh*t luck with car shows down here. They always get rained out and nearly every car I spot is on the move, in a sh*tty spot or dirty. I like taking pictures of anything I find interesting. But I have the worst luck. Like half an hour ago I'm waiting to be picked up at campus and I plan on going to spot. I'm about to get picked up and see an M6 drive by and then drive off. No time to get camera lol. But I go to the mall. Nothing. Anywhere. I bet I'll look on IG tomorrow or the next day and find something there though. :/

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who likes diversity, I'm so tired of those little kids that only know about hypercars. I've been called a dumbass by a kid who saw me taking a pic of a Supra and he said something like this to his friend, "omg that guy's a dumbass, doesn't he know that there's a LaFerrari behind him?" It was so funny imo, little sh*t didn't know anything about Supras. When the Supra started shooting flames, he was like "How does a Toyota shoot flames???" :D

I'm also working on my camera angles, unfortunately I get a lot of the same angles at shows because I use a 50mm and it's usually crowded as f*ck :/

I'm going to see how the 50mm does this weekend hopefully. I got it mainly for spotting though as I tend to prefer the look in most cases over wide angle. I'm considering saving up for a 35mm for crowded situations like shows.

I find the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio better than it's German rivals. I think it's one of the best Alfa's ever IMO. The styling is still very Italian, but still maintains that practicality that most Alfa's do not have. It might not be as reliable as the M3, or the C63 AMG, but it exhibits that certain charm that the others don't.

Also I find some iterations of the Nissan (Skyline) GT-R quite overrated. I do love the original KPGC10, R32, and the R33, but I find the R34 while it is a great car, I do not think it gets the praise it has right now, and the R35 GT-R is a brilliant car, but I find that it outstayed it's welcome.

I agree mate, I think a lot of people are starting to think that. Everything about it just seems better. It add the excitement to that class of cars that it so desperately needed. I can't wait until I see one. Like the Ghiblis I'm sure the regular models will start popping up everywhere.

I love the Avantime! In fact, I will recommend anyone to buy a V6 Avantime for an investment, because it will be a future classic.

@Scaglietti & sivispacem: I think Alfa Romeo is starting to cater to a more broader audience these days. Especially in the United States. Recent models like the Stelvio and the Giulia seems to break the mold of the typical Alfa Romeo we have seen before. It looks like to be a fresh new start for Alfa, and people are starting to realize that too.

I completely agree. I think we've one on the showroom in my town, as I distinctly saw a c-pillar that matched the profile from what I've seen in print. I really do need to investigate.

I think the first-gen Ferrari California looks fine. It seems like it's universally hated or criticized for its styling but I like it, always have. It's one of those cars that has to be specc'd quite well though to really look good. Like a plain C300 versus a loaded C43 AMG. Good design but not optioned out it looks uninspired. Grigio Silverstone on open spoke rims with a brighter interior color really brings the California out. That said I also like the California T. Some think it looks a lot better but a lot of people still hate it it seems. The FF less so but I happen to think that's a great design as well.

Also I notice a lot of people associate colors with personalities or think a certain color just doesn't fit the "theme" of a car. I've never associated colors with themes or any of that. I think almost any factory color can work well on a car and bring out its design. A lot of people think for example a light blue with light interior color combo isn't suited for a sports/super car. Bullsh*t, I think it still looks nice maybe even more so than Skittle colors. However people say "oh yellow looks childish on a Ferrari" but I like yellow on almost any Ferrari as much as I like blue on any Ferrari. Basically I appreciate most specs. It's nice to see different styles and I don't think there's a particular theme you have to follow "oh that's too refined for a sports car" or "that's too gaudy for a luxury car" as long as you don't mix yellow with a red interior or go like really tacky and opt for 7 different clashing colors on one car or something like that lol.

I couldn't agree more. Ever since I first played TDU2, I have adored the first-gen California, and still substantially prefer it over the California T. However, I feel that a basic spec such as Rosso Corsa / Nero makes the California (or most Ferrari's for that matter) feel bland and uninteresting. Same with the FF too. Personally speaking, I think the FF looks best in darker colours such as Blu Pozzi, while the California on the other hand looks better in more traditional lighter colours such as Azzuro California. I think both look good with interiors colours such as cuoio, beige, cioccolatto, and sabbia (rosso as well, specifically when the body colour is Nero Daytona or something similar).

I think it's stupid when people disregard a certain spec because "It doesn't fit within the brackets" or because "Its not a proper [insert brand here] if it's not specc'd like this". Like no gtfo. If I want my Rolls-Royce or Bentley to be bespoke and outside the box then it will be bespoke and outside the box. If I want my Ferrari in a beautiful, refined blue with brown cashmere seats then it will be in a beautiful refined blue with brown cashmere seats.

The Ford Mustang Hybrid isn't such a bad idea if it still uses a V8 engine, I'd love to have it since it can give me better gas mileage while still retaining the 5.0 underneath the hood, I just hope that they give us an 8-speed auto since the Camaro already has one.

@pininfarina It's as if we think exactly the same. Yeah there was an Azzurro California California here with a cuoio interior and diamond sitched (black stitching) seats and all carbon fiber inlays. I almost melted when I saw it. It was the first California I got to see up close back in like 2010 and I wish I could see it again. You'd be crazy to call that example ugly. And yeah, FFs look great in darker colors. Verde fits it well which I something I never considered until I saw one like that zoom past me in Houston.

Ugggh just thinking about that California makes me melt.

And yeah I never though Verde British or Verde Racing would look half-decent on a Ferrari. I didn't even those colours were available for the FF in the first place

OT: I think the 458 looks better than the 488. It just looks more natural imo

Yeah. 458 is also more likely to be bought by someone who knows what he's doing, not just buy the most expensive/newest Ferrari. BTW I've seen some 488 GTB and every of them was from Czech Republic?

It does. The front bumper of the 458 is very pretty and even elegant. The 488 front bumper just looks kind of silly. Also the 458 Spider has an absolutely gorgeous engine cover with beautifully shaped vents while the 488 Spider just has some plain generic looking (plastic?) vents on the cover. That said I still think the 488 looks good and it is very photogenic.

The 488 is just full of 'it's good but not as good as before' pretty much. It looks good but not as good as the 458. It sounds good but not as good as the 488. It is however quicker but I couldn't give any less of a damn considering the 458 is already fast, too fast not to mention the Speciale which is even more mental.
