Vido Corleone
does the Skumhole Shack really serve a purpose? I mean you can;t store cars in it, can u? Its just a waste of money when u think of it
deme7
Its for fun. I dont save there often, but it is a nice position since theres a PCJ right by there, and you can reach the Hymen or the Sunshine Autos quite easily from there.

idiot
Actually, the Skumhole Shack serves a rather good purpose. I mean, if you use it as I believe it was originally intended. It is a good save point, location wise; it is the cheapest; and it is meant to be the first place for you to save after the storm passes and you reach the second island. So, it does have a purpose and serves it well if you use it as such. That is all. kbye.
GTATHUG77
it is also an excellent sniping point for fun

Its just a waste of money when u think of it so all the other save points without garages are a waste of money? the skumhole shack is no different from say, 1131(1121? i forget) washington ave.. except its not as extravegant. it's a save point.. u just dont like it cause its a shack, admit it. If I want to save I'll drive the extra distance rather then spend money. I jsut bought em for 100%

I jsut bought em for 100% same with me, i never save at save points w/o garages unless i'm forced to for some reason.. R* should have put something in place of a garage in those save points.. like something that would make it more desireable to save there. i dont see the point of those properties either. GTATHUG77
you don't see the point in them, because there is none. they are just to add extra fluff to the game. I never save at any of them. I only save at these save points SSA Hyman condo MANSION Ocean View and occasionly el swanko Casa for it's centrallness garage fence for protecton against police and second floor and roof for sniping. there is a PSG-1 on the roof. El swanko is allright. i dont' save anywhere else. there's just no point and no icons.
WidowMaker
Skumhole is perfect for when you are doing the biker missions, it just a short jog across the street.
infiniti
i bought the skumhole shack first, then saved up for a while and blew my cash on the hyman condo. screw that i was a poor ass back in those days

MrMojo
Well, it's a good safe point for biker and love fist missions. It's close to prawn island. It has the angel bike, and the pcg bike below. Theres an mp5 below the stairs. It's cheap.
D@3mOniT3
Theres an mp5 below the stairs. it's not an mp5, or a tec.. or a mac.. it's the other one i forget the name.. the one the vercetti gang has.. o well u know the one i mean.
Purple9
The Uzi 9mm is under the stairs. Skumole Shack is a great place to hide from the Cops.. It's a decent place to snipe from; a good way to start off a Cop Rampage..it's great. It's good for sniping Police Boats from there too. The Precinct - We're upping our standards, so up yours! tommyalma
If you use the cars float on water cheat early on in the game to get to the east island (before you can acquire property) and you don't want to buy the Hyman Condo before you have most of the hidden packages (the only ones that show up on the roof are the ones you have before you buy it), the shack is a great place to buy. That's what I've done on my second run-through of the game. Also, it's kind of a reference to the Godfather, when the Corleone mob would "go to the mattresses" in unfurnished apartments. This goes along with the Scarface and Carlito's Way Al Pacino movie references. For a mafia-type game, it adds authenticity. This is off-topic, but Vito Corleone is spelled with a "t." Does "Vido" mean something?
deme7
Anybody notice how many people posted in this, and that more of the important msgs get less posts then sort-of useless posts (No offence whatsoever!? I rarely use the Skumole. I laughed my ass off when I saw it though. Just a shack on a roof. -Just a Shack, on a roof... lol...
Duce
I used the shack alot before i bought anything else. I think its pretty useful, if not for saving for the health, and yes the uzi.i also like biking up there and shooting stuff then driving away off the roof while hearing the infamous shout "You better not let me catch you" or "If you make me run ill get all sweaty" or something like that
SolidCheat
I use the Skumhole Shack alot. It's the only save point in that region (Besides the Hyman Condos, but thats a bit further off), and with that Save-Cancel cheat/glitch, it's perfect for boosting up health when Im sniping from the roof. And with the uzi at the base of the stairs, the Angels parked just north of the Shack, a helicopter on the Police building nearby, armour behind the Greasy Chopper, and a Cruiser next to the VCPD building, it's a perfect spawn point. crap09
It's great to run into when you have helicopters shooting at you; just hop in the shack and get ready to shoot the infinite repelling swat team.
BBBoggs
It's next to some Angels. I always save there.
renatoe
it is also an excellent sniping point for fun that is a good reason to buy the Skumhole Shack. maybe the guys in were bored and invented this "Real State Property" just for a good laugh. niekkari
Its a good safe point. Theres no other near there and its just fun to shoot from the roof.

tryptomine_sniper
I personnaly find the skumhole shack quite useful, especially during gunfights, and actually is a good place to shoot down the police heli's, though not the best. It is close to quite a few of good places as well
Struttdaddy
fleamonkey, it's up the stairs across the street from the biker bar.
SolidCheat
To get to the skumhole shack: 1. Get access to the mainland. 2. Head north on the right side of the road, there should be a turn. 3. You'll see a bunch of Angels (harleys) parked in front of a bar. 4. Just a bit farther up the road and on the left is a metal staircase. 5. Head up the stairs, you'll find a crappy little shack. Head in and purchase it (it's inexpensive). Voila, you have located (and now own) the skumhole shack.
EmSixTeen
The Skumole Shack rocks! Just look at it... It's funny ass! It's one of the quickest places to slam down a heli and save, too, and with a PCJ just below... Loverly!
