No dual exit exhaust option for the Stallion. Come to think of it, you can hardly do anything to the car customization wise.

I hate it. Its the only reason I don't have one, I can get by with the lack of mods, but the muffler sticks out like a sore thing thumb ...

The Stallion is a GTA Classic, appeared on everything but II, They should've put more effort into it.

The Stallion had a duel set up in all the 3D era games, they should've kept the theme going with the HD era.

Seriously? You can't even open the back doors on the Pounder Custom even though they open in the Nightclub delivery cutscene? What is the f*cking point of allowing this to be called as a personal vehicle if you can't do anything with it?

We wont have more gta 4 cars in the future and i will explain why: the laat gta 4 car we got if i am not wrong was in the lowriders part two, and this was 3 years ago. Since this dlc if you take a closer look at the cars rockstar added, they have a different design language, they are focused in detail and amount of customization rather than deformation. The quality of the textures, engine blocks etc have all changed. The most clear way to see this is by taking a look at the extreme parts of the door, in gta four cars and early gta 5 cars, they tend to curve to the inside on both panels, to give the impression of the gap between any panels you see in real cars, nowadays this curve to inside doesnt exist anymore and has been replaced by a line normally gray almost black between the panels and the doors, looks way more realistic and take out that "videogame vehicle face".

Besides that lets be real the gta 4 models have 11 years, they look cool and all but are outdated, and looking back at the last dlc we can see rockstar is trying to make their cars as realistic as possible (vamos is a complete ripoff)

Ok , im going to practice necromancy to this comment , but why the f*ck you dont want classics cars from gta iv in gta v/online ?

Is not a case of i want. Is a case of the possibility is almost zero. The effort to uptade all textures, engine blocks, interiors, build customization, increase the polygon number, addapt crash deformation and some other tweaks is higher than the effort to build a car from scratch attending all the specifications.

You can argue that they can just import the cars and uptade the textures, however, if rockstar do this the cars are out of the quality standard they have now and the entire community would criticize them for doing a lazy work. Is not worth for the design and marketing team.

I personally would like to see more gta4 cars in gtav, however i cant see this happening.

There is a way tho, bring back gta 4 cars as arena cars, and maybe with a stock version to be converted

I mean, R* has already ported cars from GTA IV in the past with good quality, case in point: the Tampa.

It came up with decent customization options and even a hi-res engine model.

The APC was ported with a higher poly count and slightly modified design too, even when R* didn't bothered to make an interior for it.

It's doable and it's pretty unlikely that R* would just port cars from GTA IV as it is without trying to update them in some way.

The tampa in fact came with gta V DLC car standards (at least 2016 ones) , however we dont actually know how difficult was for them to make it that way. I cant say for sure because i dont know for sure which software they use or how they work with their presets and stuff, but from my experience modeling some machinery equipment is easier to make from scratch than doing all this work.

the last thing you can call the 3D car designers are lazy, look at the itali GTO or the Tulip or every civilian car from AW, they are really well done. Also we dont know how tight the schedules are and how many people there are working on creating these cars.

I think that porting vehicles from GTA IV is way easier to make one from scratch.

Sure, the model gets refined with a higher poly count, a functional interior and new customization options, but it's way easier when you basically have half the job done.

This I can agree with, with the exception of some duds (coff coff original Jester Classic coff coff) and some vehicles with odd proportions or scales (Tyrant, Flash GT), the vehicle designers of GTAO have improved quite a lot.

Compare something like the 811 (which barely looks like an 918) to something more recient like the Neon.

I would say depends on the software you work with, if we are talking about 3ds max probably yes, but others i have no idea... Thats why i said that what they use is so important. In some softwares editing existing builds is a nightmare.

But if it was easier to do like that than buiding from the zero, why have they stopped to add gta 4 cars ? That is what didnt make sense for me, untill i look at gta 4 cars in gta V with vanilla works, and i started to notice how different current DLC cars look from them, is like night and day. The focus on GTA 4 was to make cars that were simple in order to open space for more crash deformation, and with a somewhat cartoony and goofy face (there are exceptions, i know, but you cant deny the pattern), whereas the most recent cars like the Vamos, for example, are basically a copy of the real life.

Just compare the vamos or the tulip with the Stallion or dukes, and you will see what i am talking about.

This argument at least for me makes sense.

So you cant put stuff in the back like the Baggers from Biker Businesses. I thought that was obvious, give us a truck PV and people would use it like *gasp* a truck.

I think I get it now.

So what you're basically saying is that R* won't bring back more GTA IV vehicles because even when upscaled and updated to current standards, their designs will look dated compared to more recent vehicles, right?

Sure, there's some vehicles from GTA IV like the Sabre Turbo or the Stallion that look quite good design wise and could even pass as real car, but there's also some old vehicles like the PMP 600 which look kind of cartoony compared to the more true-to-life car designs that we currently get in Online.

I still think that while you may have a point, the true reason why R* won't bring more GTA IV vehicles is because they just can't slap a $300k pricetag on an Esperanto and call it a day.

Exactly, and is kinda funny you mention the stallion which is one of the worse models in the entire game in terms of building quality. I am not saying that the car looks bad, but is poorly done even to 2013 standards.

I have to disagree about the price. The turismo can cost over 1 million, the PMP over 500.000, the sabre G body can cost over 400.000 etc. The price is not the issue with most of the cool GTA 4 cars.

I agree with all of the above about how recent cars are better quality wise but some of don't really care about that when it comes to the GTAIV vehicles (exclusively), for many of us who played GTAIV we grew to love those cars for years before GTAV brought a new fleet of vehicles. I do agree that many of the GTAIV are behind in terms of quality, but some of them could cut it in the game because there was potential - PMP 600, Sentinel, Uranus, Turismo, TBOGT Stinger, Feltzer and Coquette. I still nag R* feedback for them.

Maybe r* thinks it's easier to make new models, rather than putting interiors, customization, more pixels, etc. into these old models. Either way, it's a Damn shame because some of those cars looked so good and realistic.

Yes, Revolter is gud, but can you imagine a Presidente V?

Bought an Exemplar earlier and it had a damn phone holder and air freshener. Sold it instantly and bought another one, that came with an air freshener. At least it's not as obvious or noticeable as the phone holder or coffee cup.

I've found that buying a white car almost always guarantees interior trash. Or maybe it's coincidental. I don't know but the black one only had an air freshener in it.

Yeah, it's a load of crap that a $100k and up brand new car or vintage classic will show up in your garage with junk in it.

Yeah, its coincidence, I've bought way too many cars and the only conclusion I have that its completely random.

Lots of OG cars and some early dlc cars have random interior trash. Even the million dollar Adder have them.

Wildbrick made a complete list of all the cars in the game with "extras".

Using some single-player mod menus sparked my curiosity when I came across an "extras" category for vehicles, wasn't sure what it was pertaining to at the time, but maybe that was for interior clutter and extra modifications part of the vehicle itself (eg. Lights/Rack for Sadler)

Well at least now I know it doesn't matter what color I choose. It's a stupid thing added in my opinion, rather than allow an interior trim color option they decided to add trash in cars when they remastered the game for current gen. I got lucky with my Monroe, the first one I bought had a clean interior. Most other cars though? Nope.

The interior extras should have it's own category in Los Santos Customs for all vehicles with them.

I don't know how long or how much effort it would take to revamp every car to have these options available to change rather than it being all random, but it shouldn't be too hard if interior customization is as easy as it is for Benny's vehicles.

Yeah...it's one thing for some poor guy's cluttered vehicle being randomly stolen off the street, as if you take that vehicle to be modified, should be able to clear out all interior props, easy. All for the feeling of a "personal vehicle" should put the owner in control of what they put inside it.

Yep. There are 12 "extras". They range from body parts and extra mods to interior trash.

Extras 1 through 7 are body parts and mods. Like the GNX hood on the Faction and the cage on the Merryweather Mesa.

Extras 8 through 12 are the interior trash. Like coffee mugs & whatnot.

I too got lucky with my Monroe, but other cars? Not much.

My last attempts included 8 Baller LEs, 7 9Fs & 5 9F Cabrios .... Sigh.

Damn. I'm cheap, I'll settle for clutter I probably won't notice much like the air fresheners. Glad the Cognoscentis and Schafter variants added weren't affected by clutter, otherwise I would've spent a lot more money on the several I bought.

Yeah i have a Faction with the turbo bulge hood thanks to that merge glitch. Shame it's not a normally obtainable option.

I certainly wouldn't. But we all know about Rockstar's reluctance to touch old code. Unless it allows you to get easy money that is.

My OCD doesn't let me. To me, the small air refreshenal is just as bad as the coffee cup. I hate them.

I have 7 Baller LEs, only 2 of them were clean from the first try. I spent a small fortune on them.

You know, you can use the merge glitches to clean interiors. It works.
