Im convinced the next gta needs to be set in the 90s. because it seems they can no longer competently design anything beyond 2000. most of ivs cars are great and there are some great modern cars in v, like the oracle ii or comet sr, etc. but they seem to just do slap stick jobs on modern cars. putting so much effort into beautiful classics and then turning around and creating poor detail awkward modern cars. its a shame.

 

a f*cking lada has more mods, badges and details than the average post-2010 dlc car. its a shame. modern cars arent just cheap plastic, they have as much detail as old cars. i dont think rockstar realizes that. well one team does and the other doesnt and unfortunately the latter seems to do most of the cars... smh

Alright, needs to be said here. Screw the livery update. This is R* putting minimal effort in to grab quick cash. On the livery topic the most recent reply, as of typing, was for the BF surfer, showing a real life 23 window "Alpine" VW Microbus done up in 60's counter culture style paint as well as a rat styled one. Both though show every fault the surfer has. Raked suspension, low detail model, two seater with non-sliding non-functioning rear doors. Oh, also, it doesn't have an engine. I'm not joking, if you own a surfer take it outside and open up the hood. Before you try to tell me I'm stupid and that I don't realize the motors just in the rear, shut up and do it. You'll notice the "trunk" option opens the back glass, and the "Hood" option opens a small compartment below it. This is where the hood and engine is on the real life VW. But if you look inside the engine bay you'll see it's just a white box, no motor.

The Surfer doesn't need a livery update bandage, it needs a new custom model. Rockstar should not have killed Benny. I don't care what anyone else says about him, and while the forced hydraulics were a shame, the amount of new modifications it brought to cars like the Voodoo was worth it, as it's obviously the only way Rockstar would do it. And it made money, too. Around a million bucks per car is the average. They can charge out the rear, I don't care. But we can't let them just get away with liveries alone. The Mamba needed a better interior and more customization. The Coquette could use flip around headlights and, again, a better interior. Futo, Ruiner, Penumbra. All of these cars need an update to the model polish and higher customization levels. Why the Prairie, of all possible cars, got more mod options I will never know. 

 

If we look at Rockstar and say we're fine with nothing more than new skins they can make in a few hours, it will be all we get.

I have a few Vehicle B&Ms today.

 

 

- The Hermes.

 

1) The secondary paint parts do not match the primary paint, even if you used the exact same color, ugh.

 

2) The Hermes is slammed to the ground & can barely go over sidewalks or train tracks. Have a very low center of gravity, so low it makes supercars jealous & yet it turns like a frickin Rumpo Custom! Wtf?!

 

 

- The Terrorbyte.

 

1) Were the spare tires necessary? Like really really necessary? A must have or die kinda necessary? If so, why did you match them to ones fitted to the truck? Its not so hard, you already did it with the Trophy Truck.

 

2) Why did the custom wheels have to be cookie cutter bicycle narrow wheels?

 

3) The roof rack is completely unnecessary & the cut out for the SAM is awful.

 

 

- Savestra.

 

Were the rivets for the boxy widebody really necessary??? They're awful.

 

- Elegy Retro Custom.

 

You can customize almost every single piece of the body, yet no rear bumpers! And what's with the rear twin hooks? Its not a frickin Humvee!

 

- Monroe.

 

Only 764 Miuras were built, its an expensive & highly thought after collectable, yet the Monroe comes with interior trash. Okay, I get the ashtray "reference" to the Italian Job, but a Bumpkin Spice Latte does not belong anywhere near a frickin Miura! Damn generic muscle car interior.

 

- Sentinel Classic.

 

I know I bitched about this before, but the god damn roof is too high. Its not a deal breaker, but it sticks out like a sore thumb. Where's that @Classique sketch when you need it?!

Anyone else annoyed by the negative camber of the Slamvan Custom's front tires? Its worse than the Faction Custom's.

 

It really bothers me & I can't stop looking at it everytime I take it out.

 

 

I took it out last night to upgrade the engine bay, but the tires put me off. This thing is lucky I don't need the space.

 

Edit: oh & while I'm at it, this sh*t is unacceptable.

Still can't believe the stupid handling flag issue is still a thing, that my gripe for today, lol. I own 4 vehicles that just sit there on display...waiting for R* to sober up, stagger to their work station and fix it.

The new custom bumper(secondary color) of the Patriot is too off center and that sticks out if you have it in any right color.

 

The front bumper as well, it ends before reaching the front wheel archs, making it look unfinished.

 

And they couldn't even bother to add the brush guards as a option to it.

I, for one, actually like the designs of both the Taipan and the Tyrant but I can't get over how hilariously oversized they are.

 

I guess that R* is appealing to the whales now with literally whale sized cars.

What are they trying to accomplish? They pick and choose what cars should or should not have handling flags. I don’t get their logic. 

 

Everyday is a cocktail (Hipster) party at their office. Sipping seasonally brewed pumpkin and blueberry infused Pilsner and eating artichoke pizzas topped with smoked Alaskan Moose meat, is what they do best. 

 

Somewhere on in this planet there’s a young 16-18 year old modder making GTA a wonderland for themselves with amazing creations, while we B&M on this thread. R*, get off your damn asses and fix things! Put brain cells to work. 

 

I can’t stress this enough. It’s been 3 years since the Lowrider DLC was released and the Faction still drives like a dumpster being dragged down the street. Clearly, one of R* most daunting tasks is getting the Faction right. I challenge any of their devs to get it right. I bet $1 (that’s all their worth) they can’t.  

 

Also, fix the damn Hermes too! I can’t stand that it flips over when turning. And what’s with the hissing sound it makes when driving? The car sounds like it’s deflating.

Tyrant and taipan are both meme cars, they are in the game just to be a joke. Cant see another reason 

 

About the principe brand, rockstar basically killed this brand as well as classique.

Yep, I mean, it made sense in GTA IV to have Ducati inspired motorcycles branded as Pegassi, seeing as that Ducati is owned by Lamborghini.

 

But now that we have a Ducati stand in (Principe), well, why not use it instead? Same with Classique.

 

I could write a whole essay about the many mistakes that R* has made with branding its ingame cars lol

Why do bikes don't have kickstands? So much detail on them, but no freaking stands, at all. Is it so hard to make them look a bit more realistic and not magically leaning on invisible walls? It's about time for kickstands to be put on them!

I imagine stuff like that will be in GTA VI (if the details in RDR2 are any indication). 

 

I'd say working windshield wipers are probably gonna show up too. That's something I always thought was weird to see. Pouring rain, but nobody has wipers on lol.

Pouring rain and no one uses an umbrella. No one even has one. Wipers, turnsignal indicators, rearview mirrors with actual view will probably be a thing too, if indeed RDR2 detailing could be an indicator. Manual gearshift or at least a dedicated brake function would be welcome too, like hold L2 to brake and L2+L1 to reverse or something. There is room for improvement. Oh, and gear shifting animations, especially on bikes.

Chrome looks like garbage in this game. The chrome parts at LSC look ok, but the actual chrome paint looks like sh*t. It’s way too bright unless you’re driving around at night.

I just hate how chrome loses it's look when in direct sunlight. It literally just looks like flat silver paint unless you are in a shadowed area.

I feel the same way about chrome wheels.

 

I’m kinda disappointed in Benny’s and bike wheels not having a complete chrome wheel or chrome paint color option. Instead we’re left with alloy if we don’t want to paint our rims e.g. chrome wheel with alloy center cap.

Not exactly. They’re actually my preferred choice; however, they could look better under different lighting. If not chrome, I’ll use carbon fiber wheels to complement a car with carbon fiber parts or black and bronze/dark copper/gold paint. 

 

I’d like to use alloy, but I’m never satisfied with it. I’ve tried many times and always seem to go back to chrome.

Eh, kinda. There's the Nemesis, Lectro, Diabolus and the Custom version. 

Classique doesn't even show up anywhere, except on the Stallion's grille.

And ironically, it's not because "they can't", as the Tropos Rallye's rally lights (which is an LSC option) work. Laziness I guess.
