Yeah - and IMO, it sounds better than just cutting it off at 'Proto'. 'X80 Prototipo' is okay, just 'X80' would have been the best way to go, but 'X80 Proto'? It's just so darn clunky...

Why the Elegy and Comet are Retro; but the Turismo, Cheetah and Infernus are Classic?

 

They're almost from the same era (80's/early 90's).

 

Also, why the Youga Classic has a badge that says "Youga Classic" instead of just "Youga"? That doesn't makes sense.

 

Also, because of the "Custom" suffix that almost all Benny's cars have, we have things like the "Nero Custom Custom" when selectiong a car for a race.

 

The Sultan RS and the Banshee 900R had nice names, why R* couldn't think at least of slapping "GTR", "Competizione" or whatever instead of "Custom"?

The only things that I like about the recent updates is all the classic cars from older GTA games and cars like the Torero and the GP1. Those are cars from my childhood...

 

But R*, in R* fashion, had to f*ck it up putting the Turismo Classic, Infernus Classic and Cheetah Classic in the Sports Classics class lmao.

 

At least the Torero actually belongs there, kinda.

I agree. Last night I joined some racers for some semi serious racing for a change. Last race was Sports Classics. Every single person was in a Turismo Classic. Don't get me wrong, it is a cool car, and it was actually kinda neat to see all of them racing together. Reminded me of a manufacturer cup race in Gran Turismo, but they have effectively destroyed that particular class.

 

They will never redo the classes, I can accept that, but it just stinks that they just cannot grasp what car's should go where, by their performance or even by the type of car they are.

 

At minimum, there needs to be a Lowriders class, a Super Sports Classic class, and two tiers of Sports class. Imo.

Several vehicles do not have good enough engine sounds. The Tampa and Nightshade stand out quite a lot, especially given the

. That brings up another point that the performance of the Nightshade is severely lacking for a high end pro touring muscle car. I also think the front end of the Nightshade is way, way to high, and the front wheels are too big. The Drift Tampa is another example of a vehicle that deserved a much

What's with R*'s obsession with titanium tip exhausts?

 

I can't put a nice clean chromed set of exhausts on my ItaliGTB Custom and my Cheetah Classic, I'm only stuck with gaudy titanium and carbon tipped ones.

 

R* appealing to the ricer community I guess.

The more cars they release the more I can't believe they haven't added any new wheels (benny's doesn't count when it's only for a handful of vehicles) yet, or at the very least, allowed all cars access to all of the unique stock wheels.

 

It's such a bummer seeing a PC players car pic with modded wheels.

It's such a bummer seeing a PC players car pick with modded wheels.

 

I get that it's a baked-in limitation from the last-gen days - and it's at least encouraging to see that R*'s aware of it. Hence why Benny's has extra wheel options, and added even more for the more 'performance' stuff - and I imagine that with GTA VI, R* will build the basic system so that they can plug in more wheel options and the like with later updates, rather than cap it at a fixed amount, and then have to find workarounds later.

 

That said, the one thing R* can do for all new vehicles is make sure that the stock wheels are the best possible wheels for that particular car. There's a real lack of anything that adequately matches classic R33 Skyline rims for the Elegy Retro:

 

 

 

...and the stock rims for it are almost the same as Endo V.2 Dish tuner rims, which aren't the same as any kind of authentic Skyline rims.

 

To be fair, R* has done better with things like the San Andreas-y stock rims on the Cheetah Classic, and likewise the stocks on the Infernus Classic/Torero. But it'd be better if that approach was the rule, and not something that happens when we're lucky...

I didn't know we had a Vehicle Edition of B&M, time to rant for a bit:

 

1) The Cognoscenti. I love the car, its one of my all time favorite, but that empty see through lower grille up front gets on my nerves every time.

 

2) The Cognoscenti 55. The front overhang is ridiculously long, what is this? A modern Toyota?

 

3) The blacked out brightwork on the E&OC armored cars. I've made my peace with the reactive armor plating long time ago, but making the chrome pieces black make it look cheesy. This murdered out look has run it course & needs to stop.

 

4) The wide body & rivets on the armored XLS. like the Hyundai front, armor, blacked out trim, sideskirt & the forced tint weren't though.

 

5) The rear suspension of the Schafter family ... Just ugh.

 

6) How come they mimic the SVR with the Baller LE, yet forget to give it a menacing exhaust note ... Have they even heard an SVR in real life? Its not something you forget.

 

7) The Gauntlet, it sounds good... Which is the only good thing about it. The less said the better.

 

8) The Huntley S, you had a Bentley SUV, but give it the Habanero interior? Dafuq?

 

9) The Alpha is just too damn chunky.

 

10) How come the Penetrator doesn't have any decent good looking exhaust tips?

 

I'll continue some other time...

If you can't use them on older things like the Bagger, then that's basically what I was saying about stock wheels - R* needs to add more/more authentic rims with new vehicles as stock, if they can't plonk them into LSC for general use.

i'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but... i hate how there is even an option to delete your car if your garage is too full. i learned this the hard way today. ordered a new car and it said my current garage was full(even though i have 3 other garages with more than enough space). i assumed when it asked me if i wanted to replace an older car with the new car, that it would just move my old car to a different garage, etc. in any case, i found out the new car just overrides the space and your old car just disappears. no credit for it, nothing. i had to re-buy my old car and upgrade it again, GRRR!

• A sports/super (e.g. Jester and FMJ) with rear louver options? Why yes, those give them BP backs. Even the Dominator's Window Blind-styled louvers give it increased protection.
• A heavily-armored military-grade vehicle with armored window plates? Sorry, purely cosmetic, you can be shot right through them by a 9mm, and you can't shoot out of them.

If you want to get into horribly unfitting interiors, how about the BF Surfer? It's a VW Bus(1967 at the newest), yet has the same interior as a ton of the modern vehicles in the game. Same with the Youga Classic. Then there's the Tornado, which isn't as unfitting, but has the same interior as nearly all the muscle cars, despite clearly being a 50's car, it should share the interior with the Peyote(you can give it a more classic interior if you upgrade to the Tornado Custom at Benny's, but at the expense of then having ridiculously small wheels, which look silly). There's also the Gauntlet and Dominator, which are modern muscle cars, yet they also have the standard classic muscle interior when they should have modern ones. There are more to list I'm sure, but those are the ones I can think of right now.

One thing that pisses me off all the time is customization. Why can't I just put my car together and then buy it all at the end? I have wasted f*cking hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to get a paint color and Camo pattern that look good together on my gunrunning cars, and it's always annoying as f*ck. Like, yeah, you can hover over other options but what if I wanna see Paint color A with camo B and I have paint C and camo D installed? Augh!
