^The Ruiner should have been a straight IROC and another Z31/MR2 sort of import car should have been added.

 

After all, the Ruiner has been "ruining imports since 198X" or whatever, it shouldn't have such import influenced design notes.

 

But as a former Z31 owner I'd love to see that car put in.

 

I feel like some of the older cars don't make sense now. We might see R* change these brands up a lot next game since they have introduced the Retro car concept. For example, shouldn't a Ruiner actually be a Gauntlet Retro? R* used to give retro cars their own name plates but in the future they might change how they go about older models. That's how I see it anyway.

Yup - Z31 with ...I dunno, back end of a Mitsubishi Starion would have made more sense, IMO - and then make the Ruiner a straight-up 3rd-gen Camaro/Firebird mash-up. I feel that, aside from the obvious Knight Rider aspect (and wow, I still can't believe R* managed to get that close with their KITT knock-off...), they purged any lingering Nissan-ness from it - would have been good if they'd done that to begin with (and used the Z31 elsewhere). But again, GTA IV approach to 'kitbashing' cars...

As for a Gauntlet Retro/Classic, I'd say that'd be the perfect opportunity to add a classic '70s Challenger - and there's a whole bunch of cars R* could borrow bits from in order to blur the resemblance (Plymouth Barracuda shared the same platform, so it's the most obvious candidate), and still have it look suitably 'Challenger' when done.

Something that seriously annoys me is the lack of headrests in the rear seats of cars. It looks seriously tacky imo and kind of ruins the look of certain cars for me. For example, my Schafter V12:

 

 

It looks seriously stupid without headrests in the rear. What kind of luxury car would not have headrests in the rear? What annoys me even more is that in some vehicles there are actually headrests in the rear - For example, in the Baller LE (not my image):

 

 

I sometimes genuinely wonder what goes on inside the R* Offices when they design some of the vehicles...

Snobs. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I really cannot stand the GTA Online car community. Bunch of snobs. You're basic for keeping your cars simple. You're a special snowflake for doing something unique even if you 100% actually like it that way.

 

The biggest pile of hot steaming bullsh*t I read was in the Cheetah Classic thread. So we're all showing off our Cheetahs and I went for a special Ferrari coating like I almost always do (despite the fact I proudly drive a Rosso Scuderia (a.k.a. Resale Corsa 2) Bestia and Turismo) and loved it. Well somewhere down the line someone finally says "it's refreshing to finally see Ferraris that aren't red, yellow or white." Not provocative right? "Well sometimes it's best to keep things simple instead of being a special snowflake especially if normal colors fit it so well" Only in the GTA community do I run into such backhanded ass childish remarks about what damn color people want to put on their car. Nowhere else. Not Forza, not real car communities where people buy real cars. Just here. The snobbery is real.

 

I seem to be the only person who appreciates the fact that everybody has their own tastes and desired specs. Hell, not just because it makes my specs more me but because it's just nice to see different stuff. But what more could I expect from a community of spoiled teenagers and bitter adults...

F*ck what people think. I've had my Turismo Classic painted Giallo Modena since I bought it and my Cheetah Classic the same color. Showed it to a few people from here on the forums and got a ridiculous amount of sh*t for it. "That's gay, why would you do that? They're not real Lamborghinis anyways!" Yes, they called them Lamborghinis. I know I'll never own an F40 or Testarossa, so pardon me for living vicariously through this video game. Besides, Giallo Modena just looks good on both of them. I try to paint all my cars with paintjobs that the real cars had (my Tampa is Plum Crazy Purple, Dukes is Go Mango, so on and so forth) and when I show them on here all I get is DMs about it being lame and unoriginal. Whatever. I like them that way.

Fortunately it's kind of the opposite for me, I've had people give me positive PM's about my cars most times and had many people follow me on GTA:O simply driving my SE30 purp Tempesta or Prugna Metallica Cheetah around. I don't let it get to my head. People like what they like. No one is right or wrong for their tastes. Not even giantsgiants lmao.

 

Of course you can criticize but there's a boundary between voicing your honest opinion and just being a dick. People need to learn the difference.

Also, why are the paints ranging from as cheap as 1k to all the way to 20k. Thats absurd for just a paint job. In other games its either free or cheap for like $200. Single player is cheap, but why is online making the prices higher for paint jobs

I can live with the dripfeed (mostly because I'm not actually affected by it) but it's a shame Rockstar can't fix the bugs that pop up in cars in advance of their release. Stuff like the Torero having the option to paint the interior but only in SP (the same issue affecting the Ardent) and the aforementioned having such an abysmally stretched plate

 

 

Could potentially be fixed if Rockstar released bug patches after their updates went out instead of saving all the bug fixes for the next title update.

 

I'm assuming this doesn't happen because PS4/XBOX One both require devs to pay to update (I'm not sure if this is still the case but I heard it a while back).

I wish they would go back & revisit older cars, ones that they short changed on customisable features & remedy that. There are a bunch of great cars that people would love to see get more features they can modify.

 

Take the Sterling for example.

 

The main thing that bugs me is the interior, it just looks cheap & tatty, not befitting a car of its class and pedigree....or the $975,000 price tag

 

Also, its got 1 hood option, 3 exhausts, you can take the rear bumper off....leaving a neon pink tow hook, add extra headlights, put tape on the headlights, a tire spoiler and that's it.

Yesterday I was trying to see what cars have Worn Colors on them and I saw a beautiful Worn Red Blade. Too bad I can't keep it since it's the creator.

 

 

Aleo fun fact did you know some cars are named differently in the code? For example, the Striling GT is called the Feltzer Classic and the Roosevelt is called the B-Type in the code. There's several others but I forgot what were the cars.

A custom paintjob on PC, depending on your choice of texture and pearlescent, can cost more than $112,500 (Primary + Secondary, Pure Gold texture, Crew Color of choice, and pearlescent is unaccounted for in that figure).

 

Not all paintjobs for all cars will cost that much (or nearly as much), of course, but if you're a Pure Gold texture fanatic like me (or Chrome texture, but ew), it really does cost a pretty penny.

ETR1 is also called "Sheava" and the X80 Proto is called "Prototipo" for whatever reason. Sheava sounds nice, but Prototipo sounds like they couldn't come up with a name.
