The Rockstar Gamer 108
James Bond 007 Hi! Anyone's watched a James Bond Movie? I've watched Spectre, Tomorrow Never Dies, Skyfall, Golden Eye, Casino Royale and The World Is Not Enough. My favourite Bond Protagonists are Daniel Craig & Pierce Brosnan. What about you? iBUCKEYE
Grew up w/ Brosnan, but also enjoy Moore and of course, Sean Connery. I have yet to watch a Daniel Craig bond movie. NileshKumar and The Rockstar Gamer 108
X S
Oh, nice! I like this better than having one Spectre thread. Bond is one of my all-time favorites. I own all of them on Blu-ray. Grew up on Goldeneye/Brosnan, sort of like iBUCKEYE. My favorites in order: Connery, Craig, Brosnan, Moore, Dalton, Lazenby. Now we get to speculate on who will be the next Bond. Femme Fatale
Finally! I grew up with Brosnan, but my favorite Bond is Dalton...Also, I can't stand Craig as Bond, and I haven't watched his movies because of it...Although I do love Casino Royale's theme, You Know My Name, the themes after that are crap, imho... Pavle
In the sumer of 2012, each weekend they played a Bond movie. Only way I could get myself to see all of them. Favorite Bond is Brosnan. Loved him in "Die Another Day". iBUCKEYE and The Rockstar Gamer 108

Skeever
Like most here, I grew up watching Pierce Brosnan but, in case my avatar hasn't already given it away, my all-time favorite Bond is Sean Connery. It's a bit difficult for me to say which Bond movie is my favorite, although it'd probably have to be either Goldfinger or From Russia with Love. I suppose my favorite Bond actors in order would be Connery, Brosnan and then Moore, as I have yet to see Craig, Lazenby or any of the others. I probably should, though. Oh, and Pussy Galore is the best name in cinema history. I'd make that my name on here, but it's probably taken. iBUCKEYE, The Dedito Gae, X S and 1 other
The Time Ranger
My favourite Bond movie would have to be From Russia With Love, I also had the game for the PlayStation 2, Connery recorded dialogue specifically for the game, so technically the last time he portrayed Bond was for that game, good game too. combustion
Anyone's watched Skyfall? Yup, I've seen it. IMO the Best Bond film starring Craig. The Rockstar Gamer 108
X S
Skyfall was on television yesterday. It's hands-down one of the best Bond films ever, but only because it pays so much homage to the 50th anniversary of James Bond and the character's past. Everything from the joke about the exploding pen and receiving his first Walther PPK, the DB5, the subtlety of the bartender shaking the martini and Bond saying, "Perfect", the scene where Bond hands the bullet shrapnel and says, "For her eyes only", the Scotch that Silva hands to Bond is from 1962 (the year of Dr. No), and the fact that we learn of Bond's origins in Scotland, which pays tribute to the fact that Connery is Scottish. There's just a ton of references to the older films. Also, the entire premise of the movie is 'how can Bond, and the UK in general, remain relevant to the threats of a rapidly changing and technological world?' It gives purpose to MI6 and the need for 00 agents for the modern audience. It's a redemption piece. Spectre attempts to continue that premise, but it falls quite short in my opinion. razor6162
I really love Bond Films man! A couple of JB Films with KFC Wings! Skyfall, Spectare, Casino Royale, I love all of them! The Rockstar Gamer 108
RogerWho
There's something about the Bond movies that makes them instantly forgettable for me. I rewatched all of them up to Skyfall about 3 years ago, and then rewatched all the Craig ones incl. Spectre a few months ago and I literally can't remember any of it. Except how pretty Eva Geen looked (I normally don't like her or her movies) and the Aston Martin chase at the beginning of... One of them. And I only remember that because I resprayed and slapped a JB007 plate on my Massacro after seeing it. Same goes for the older ones now that I think of it. I'm pretty sure I've seen most of them but the only scene I can recall is the "Do you expect me to talk?" "No, I expect you to die." They are always fun to watch but they never leave any impression on me, unlike, say, the Bourne trilogy. X S and The Rockstar Gamer 108
Arlarse
Seen all of them, including the unofficial one. When I was younger Moore was probably my favourite Bond, in part because I loved 'Live and Let Die'. He always came across as smooth and sort of how you imagined a British spy as an 8 year old. I think now though growing up and now In my 20's I'd say Connery is my favourite bond. He embodies the dying breed of British man -should qualify that Bond is by no means a role model- with The strong, yet not outspoken personality. I've enjoyed the Craig Bonds as well. He's done the best he can and it's resulted in one great (Casino Royale) and one very good (Skyfall) film which isn't bad considering the series had descended into a parody what with Invisible cars and Tsunami surfing in Die Another Day. Which leads me nicely on to Brosnan. I actually think out of all the Bonds he was the most underrated, especially today. He was given some truly terrible, terrible scripts to work with after Goldeneye and at the very least made the films that followed watchable - if only for that one time. You'd have honestly thought the Broccoli's would have given him the better script writers considering he was their original first choice to succeed Moore. As far as the series is now, and going in to the future, I honestly hope they try to give it to Fassbender. I know there's a few who are doing their own little campaigns to get the gig because it would be huge for them breaking a typecasting rut they're in as a cinematic actor. For me, if you want to go back to the Connery type Bond - which is where it looks set up to go on as - with a post millennial realism to Spying and Subterfuge, then I honestly think Fassbender is the best guy, the right age for a three contract stint as well. Majestic81
Only like the Craig films. I have seen: Casino Royale, Skyfall, and Spectre. Casino Royale was great. Probably my favorite, but they're all kind of the same to me.. Bond just doing impossible sh*t and killing people and being superman and sleeping with hot ladies. I watch them to relax and see some good old action along with some unrealistic sh*t. I've never been one to have a problem with him being Bond on the basis of his race like some but I do think he's too old to do more than a film (if you think of his other commitments) . Plus the weird thing is I've always kind of seen him as an 'M' type, like Bond's superior - maybe it's that booming husky voice of his idk. iBUCKEYE and BenMitchell90
X S
An update on the new Bond suggests that's no concrete evidence to believe that Craig is officially done with Bond. Most of it is just rumors based on the fact that he said he'd "rather slash his wrists" and that he turned down a substantial offer. Craig's agent said he has time to "fit in" Bond for his schedule. Tentative release would be 2018 or 2019. http://www.theweek.co.uk/james-bond/61654/next-james-bond-aidan-turner-wins-backing-from-past-poldark Also, Guy Ritchie is rumored to direct. I'm not so sure how I feel about that because Ritchie's movies are bit stylized, and I don't know if I've ever seen him break from that mold. http://www.firstpost.com/bollywood/guy-ritchie-may-direct-the-next-james-bond-movie-why-hes-perfect-for-the-job-3013822.html Edited September 22, 2016 by X S
zuckmeslow
as much as I like Guy Richie, I dont think his style fits with james bond and his camera work is too shakey for a good action movie. Some directors who would be perfect for James Bond would be Christopher Nolan, Mathew Vaughn, George Miller, Brad Bird and a few others. what they definitely need to do is get rid of the writers of spectre and have them be as far away from james bond as possible and have the next bond film act as if Spectre never happened. Smoov_Operator
I also grew up in the Pierce Brosnan era and golden eye on N64. Still, my favorites are the newest ones with Daniel Craig. He pulls it off nicely. Casino Royale is my favorite, but it's hard to pick and choose when I think they are all great. I have seen every bond film, but don't make a habit out of watching any other than the newer ones. I really like the bond... wait for it... that Q and 007 share in these newer films. Not sure how I feel about M being killed, but I really like Ralph Fiennes. I first saw him in 'Red Dragon'. I also enjoyed Dave Bautista's roll in Spectre, and as always, Christoph Waltz makes an amazing villain. I also think Idris Elba would make a great addition to the bond films. Maybe even bond himself. I'm not gay but I would make sweet love to that man. The Rockstar Gamer 108
