Games you like, but others don't

Please post more than just the title. At least explain why you like the game. It's an absolutely pointless exercise in posting just the title. It says nothing other than you like a game others don't. May as well write that down on a piece of paper and throw it in sea.

GTA III

GTA Vice City

Literally no one hates these games.

Does Final Fight: Streetwise counts?

Sure, the zombies twist is terribly out of place but the arcadey fighting and the sidemissions are just awesome, hits in all the right places for me. I've seen criticisms thrown to the game (admittely deserved) but game ain't half bad.

Twisted Metal III. It's considered the the worst entry into the series by most TM fans (along with TM4) due to SingleTrac handing the development over to 989 Studios, which in turn led to the games being fundamentally different because of the change in game engine. That and the character bios and endings were decidedly sub-par. I think the main reason why I love TM3 so much is because it was the only one I actually owned a copy of myself, whereas with 1 and 2 I always had to get my fix at a friend's house. Even then, I noticed the gameplay differences between them and it never really bothered me, same for the characters and their respective bios and endings ((for the most part) f*ck Flower Power, Club Kid and Auger)).

also,

on the track mang

Watch_Dogs. (Not as bad as some people make it out to be. You downgrade the graphics and suddenly it's the end of the world.)

Fallout 4. (Yes, it's pretty monumentally hated among "huge" fallout fans)

A lot of my friends don't accept that I'm a Minecraft enthusiast. Like, I know it's not unpopular, but among my age demographic I feel like it is. I am very good at building, and generally love doing it. So, that's why I play.

Just Cause 3. (Heard a lot of people including my friends downplay this game. it's great fun.)

This game was fun as hell, Cammy from SF being in the game was cool as hell.

This game, Urban Reigns and the ps2 era Def Jam are the best. Its a shame they didn't get released on PS3/4 since they were fun as hell.

Another game I found fun that costed me a couple of bucks is Watchmen on the ps3, the game was fun since it had great mechanics and cool graphics at the time, it has its problems however if you compare it to other games at the time and the pacing might be bad to some.

LittleBigPlanet 1&2. I loved those games (apart from the bomb survivals and the countless emo costumes) and I think I have an emotional attachment to them so I play LBP2 every now and then to feel better, but everytime I mention it it's seen as a kiddish game when it's pretty versatile.

Most games being listed here are pretty popular and not hated. I dunno what you people are on about..

Kane and Lynch 2 is the only game that received a lot of negative feedback that I like. But I also kind of understand why a lot of people don't like it.

When I got my PS3 years ago LBP2 was one of the first games I got, I had alot of fun of with it but the levels started to become flooded with Bomb and shark survivals, just copy and paste jobs. I don't think I can return to those games again.

On topic I like the Gamecube Legend of Zeldas (Wind Waker and Twilight Princess) where as many people like OoT and Majora's Mask. They're all great games but I just like the art style and story of Wind Waker and the combat of Twilight Princess.

Reading this post made me remember I've had Kane And Lynch 2 for years so I just started a new save.

Love that it feels like someone with a camera captures all the action.

So I'm curious. Duke Nukem Forever has been mention here, so was Daikatana (*cough* still waiting for anyone to catch on *cough*).

Does Ride to Hell: Retribution have any fans, or at least people who don't hate it? I've never tried it but I often think about giving it a try, just to see whether it's really that remarkably bad all around, hilariously bad or just regular subpar bad.

Looking at the list of bad video games in Wikipedia, Rogue Warrior wasn't the devil incarnate either. Like DNF, it had this odd late 90's style of FPS and the protag actually did less swearing than you know who.

I liked Predator: Concrete Jungle, granted i've played it when i was more easily satisfied with games (a long time ago), but something tells me i could pick up the disc and still have a good time.

* DMC devil may cry: definitive edition - Yes, its nowhere as good as the original series, the story is basically Anonymous Vs Fox News and Mountain Dew, The re-imagined characters suck, and the combat isnt as good as the original, but i think this still decent and this is a pretty underrated game...

* Sonic Adventure 1 and 2: I dont know what it is, but it seems as these games when from being universally loved to universally hated since the last couple years. Ive never played these games until earlier this year and i enjoyed them a lot. Yes the graphics, story, and voice acting are really outdated, but i still find them pretty fun...

GTA V - Say what you want to say, but it looks like almost everyone hates this game now, not only in this forums anymore, but also outside.

Resident Evil 5 - fun for coop with a friend

True Crime games - Streets of LA was a very good, cheeky cop drama but the open world wasn't so great. If NYC didn't have a sh*t ton of bugs it would've been great.

CoD: Infinite Warfare and Black Ops 3 (regarding the campaign)

Watch Dogs - not as bad as everyone says it is. I don't know why everyone freaked out when they downgraded the graphics, but the game had a nice story and elements.

Homefront and Homefront the Revolution. Single player for both.

Both of those entries got a bad rap and I'm not entirely sure why. The single player campaigns were just as fun as any other generic shooter...Cept these games have the whole "Red Dawn" thing going on.

Final Fantasy - Out of all my friends irl, the majority either don't know what it is, or don't like it.

- Fallout 4. This game is like a bucket full of sh*t dropped by so-called fans who disregard the quality this game has simply because it's not like any previous fallout and can't deal with new features. But hey, where else can I find an open world game, with dynamic environment that lets me do adventure and fight on it, while also giving me an option to build some part of the world in real time? Nowhere. This game is one of a kind. And despite all the sour experience I've had, I appreciate this game.

I only hated it for the first few months after release, it too long to get it *somewhat* optimized, also i've always been an Elder Scrolls guy, great game (now :p) nonetheless.

Mafia II & Mafia III, I loved both but both get a fair amount of dislike.

Mafia III is scoring a sub 70 on Metacritic which is insane to me.

Watch Dogs and Driveclub.

WD is gameplay wise a lot of fun. It is just that the city, story and MC were bland. Didn't stop me from beating it though. WD2 seems to fix those things so I am looking very much forward to that game.

Driveclub had a sh*tty launch and most critics didn't think the gameplay was that great either. I loved it for not having a open world and just being straightforward with the campaign. Gameplay wise it wasn't that bad either, it just felt like they couldn't decide whether to make it a sim or an arcade racer. So they just meshed it and the game was just different compared to other racers.

GTA V. I think it's better than IV.

Other than that maybe Dead Island. Sure it doesn't do a lot of things right, but as far as smacking zombies goes I think it's one of the best games out there.

Also Just Cause 3. It had the potential to be a lot better, but I don't think there's a game out there that can really match its chaotic action. Also I think it's way more fun than Just Cause 2.

Sorry if someone has mentioned this already but another good question is "Games you don't like but others do!" :D

For this thread I'd say , the Saboteur, the Division , Deus Ex second and third ones and Sniper Elite games!
