Games you like, but others don't

Please post more than just the title. At least explain why you like the game. It's an absolutely pointless exercise in posting just the title. It says nothing other than you like a game others don't. May as well write that down on a piece of paper and throw it in sea.

So I stumbled upon this video and noticed Knight Rider 2 was one of the listed games:

I had no idea the game was considered bad. I liked it when I played it back in the day (which was at least over a decade ago)

Dragon Age II

Solid mechanics, pretty decent, and had some neat ideas. For me, more enjoyable than Origins.

BioShock.
I thought it was clunky. When I went back, it was a lot of fun. The atmosphere and the story kept me interested.

Fallout 76. It has its problems but is enjoyable now since the wastelanders dlc.

true crime streets of LA and NY. Those games were fun

Metal Gear Solid 2. One of my favorites. Good reviews but was polarizing amongst some fans because of Raiden and some of the story. I bet I’ve completed the game close to 100 times, still enjoy it.

driver 3. Had its issues but the maps were nice and fun to have police chases etc.

mass effect Andromeda. Not the best ME but still a fun game to play.

Spore.

Just overhyped, but it wasn't a bad game.

Also, the game has a great soundtrack.

I liked locations, action and maybe even qte. It's really good. Probably the last good nfs.

Resident Evil 6

Decent game. It is not scary at all.

It seems more like an action game than a horror game.

Chris and Leon's campaigns are good.

Lowkey great little game from the microscopic to the primitive land stage (where you control your being), but then it goes to sh*t once it becomes a civ type game.

Think there's a great game in there somewhere if they focused and went in deep on the first half of the game.

To me RE6’s biggest problem is it tries to do too much and please everyone more than its lack of “horror”.

I agree it’s actually a pretty decent game. Controls are solid and has some great sequences, but it’s a mess tonally. They could’ve created 4 RE games with their own style instead of throwing them all into the blender. Just too ambitious for its own good IMO. This is why they knuckled down on RE7 and the result shows.

-Call Of Duty 2.

I can admit it's the best in the series. Takes place in WWII so what? Most of these are interested in futuristic and now modern times first-person shooters. Same goes for Big Red One, which was great. Finest Hour, United Offensive, they're all great. I don't know if I am right, but people hate Black Ops II. I didn't like the futuristic setting like in 2025. The 80s were the thing, you shoot these Soviets, get an Uzi with Reflex and Rapid fire. That's what I am talking about. Many didn't like FC2 because in it takes place in Africa and jamming features. What? Realism. I love the jamming features, it won't stop until you press R. Breaking features, I love just that Makarov breaking animations.

Call of Duty 2 has the best WW2 storyline, IMO. The soundtrack was amazing, I still have it in my head after 15+ years. The story was better than World at War, IMO. I hope they remastered COD 2 and put in gore alongside prettier graphics.

Call of Duty 1 was the game where I met my first love. She was playing it and I asked her to a 1v1. I really love the classic/realistic WW2 games. Vanguard just happens to have WW2 skins PERIOD.

I got Battlefield V for the reason that I wanted to try playing with German tanks, as well as the American Sherman. The gameplay was really basic and kind of revamped, it didn't even feel like a Battlefield game at first. But, it's probably due to the less urbanized WW2 maps and the back-to-basics gunplay.

Far Cry 5 was also a good Far Cry game, IMO. The story was short, but Far Cry 3's (the benchmark Far Cry other than FC2) was too convoluted with unnecessary fetch and attack missions. Far Cry 5 integrated those "Attack/defend this area" missions into the open-world seamlessly, but people misunderstood it as the story being short. Even though I'm not an American, I still found the setting more relatable compared to the Pacific Islands of FC3. The antagonist faction also seemed more relatable because living in the most hellhole island of a hellhole of a country where communist rebels, greedy corporations, drug cartels, separatists, and Islamic State bigots live, I'm also a doomsday prepper myself. Greg Bryk also did an excellent job. It was just that people wanted more insanity instead of Joseph's manipulative touch. I'm at almost 500 hours. Two normal Hard playthroughs and halfway through my NG+, but I stopped playing due to the lack of performance mode on PS5.

I played it for nostalgia and continuation of the story, but it's not that good like 1 and 2.

I guess from what I was told just a little while ago in the Mafia thread, the great Godfather game series for some nonsensically bizarre reason has to make this list of games me and my buddy loved but others apparently didn't as Godfather II flopped.

It's funny i liked RE5 and RE6 more than any other RE game. Because it was more like just a third person shooter with less puzzles and all that. RE7 first person and the latest RE The Village aren't really my thing. I only started playing both of these games, and stopped after like 2 hours in both games. I hope the next RE is like 5 and 6 again.

Some old underrated masterpiece games:

Stronghold Crusader and IGI 1-2 were very popular in my country! but I noticed they are not popular in the world!

The best version of Stronghold:

IGI 1 and 2 are not on steam but next IGI is there:

((For me Far Cry died after 1!))

And IMO this is the best thing poopisoft ever made:

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

I liked it when it was released, and I still like it. I know some people find it dull.
Spirit Tracks is not The Wind Waker, but a good improvement on Phantom Hourglass.

Loved both Godfather games!  Especially Part II.    Hope it’ll become backwards compatible someday.

Are people really understanding the topic here?

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Far Cry are both critically acclaimed games. Bioshock is a masterpiece!

I'd like to meet someone who enjoyed Devil May Cry 2. Or Mass Effect Andromeda.

Ew.

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway.

At the time, the game was not well received.
Solid WWII shooter game. Some consider it inferior and the weakest of the previous ones.

Last Of Us II.

I get why people don't like it. I was never really a fan of the first game, or Joel for that matter, so that part never bothered me. Loved the story and the unique plot of two playable characters racing to kill each other.

Resonance of Fate

The battle system is a bit hurdle, but the story and cast are good.
It takes some time to click. It's certainly not for a casual gamer.

I absolutely loved The Last of us 2.  I thought it topped the first game in every way and yes that includes the story.

Of course me just mentioning that anywhere other than on this forum and I’m usually met with some net-violence.
