I use tear gas to gas out players getting haircuts. Pretty sure i got a kill that way, they must have stood up or something because I don't think it would effect them if they are sitting in the chair. I imagine it blocks their view though.

 

Edit: I checked and no I didn't get a tear gas player kill. still fun to do tho.

Sounds similar to what happened to my character on last gen, every time I tried to get off it would only start the ride again.. it was hell on earth.

Okay yeah I'm pretty sure there are some areas of the fence that are vulnerable at the entrances but at the back and sides of the airport those fences aren't moving.

Yeah there's precisely 1 remaining bit of fence you can blow up on CG, and it's (a) not convenient and (b) only big enough for bikes. It's the gate at the South end of the North/South runway.

Almost have to agree with you on that--instead of being too weak to kill someone quickly, it should be affecting their vision in a somewhat similar way to how flash bangs work in Counter-Strike: Source (quite effective!).

 

For it to be useful as-is, it shouldn't take 5-6 canisters dumped into a tiny corner with the NPC or player completely stationary in the area.

 

I would love to see R* implement solid fixes to the following so they aren't almost useless:

 

* Gas Masks (make them withstand any/all gas, such as Tear Gas and BZ Gas)

* BZ Gas (would be useful in cases where you want to deal with NPCs, but without the wanted level...though how they would be used against other players would be questionable)

* Night Vision Goggles (great idea--but needs more dark areas other than the mine shaft)

* Body Armor (fewer "strengths" needed, should be more expensive, but offer longer/better protection, and not disappear after a fall)

(and plenty more...)

Heh; and just the opposite is true in CS:S--probably the most versatile weapon in the game.

 

...and still can't stop lusting after a silenced Sten in GTA Online. *sigh* I hope someone at least creates a mod for it.

Self explanatory: What do you think is the most Useless thing in GTA Online? For me, it's the Kraken Submarine. Sure, it's cool and definitely better than the original yellow submarine, but it's a submarine. So it's still slow and a 1 seater. Plus what are you gonna do in the Ocean anyway besides explore it?

I saw someone use one today to good effect. The free mode event was on where you have to hold some case and survive with it, and - you can guess - someone was hidden away in the sea with it.

The Car show that the NPCs sometimes put on down in the drain system, where you start the Mission "Sinking Feeling" at. Like who the F wants to have a car show next to a tunnel entrance especially at night?

 

also speaking of that Drain Show, why are there NPCs sitting on the Support beams in lawn chairs when nothing is going on?

Useless stuff/features in public free for all :

Knuckle Dusters : a lot of other melee weapon too now that i think of it.
Boats : why use them at all when you can fly aircraft.
Bicycle : minus passive have fun getting run over by 360 no scope 12 year old.
Luxor/Swift Deluxe : the price tag on it beside to compensate for lack of something, it's only an alternate skin for old aircraft.
Dom : why is he even in my contact list I really would like to know.
Lester : locate a vehicle, I fail to see the point of this

I'm kind of boggled by some of the things people think are pointless. I guess not everyone plays the same way but just because you don't now what it would be useful for doesn't make it useless.

 

Like, guy above, boats are useless? You've never ended up in the water? And I'm bored of explaining why Lester's locate services are useful if you don't own that type of vehicle.

I'm not having a go, just that everyone seems to say Locate without knowing what it does (spawns the vehicle even if no others are spawning, eg in contact missions).

 

You can spawn a dinghy in the CEO menu, anywhere at sea. So don't have to EWO if you don't want to.

 

Obviously aircraft are preferable for travelling any distance but that's far from the only thing boats can be used for.

Almost anywhere there is a door gate, it can be blown up. The door remains, but you can walk right in or out...or drive a bike through.

 

Overall I dont mind the invulnerable fences there. That place is an obstacle and a logical one too (in terms of map setup, not realistic enviroments).

I happen to love boats and only wish there were more things to do in the water. There's just nothing more relaxing and calming than cruising around the water or snapping some photos near the shore. I know many think they're a waste, but I don't regret my yacht purchase for a second--I'd live out there indefinitely if I hung around in public lobbies. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a fairly awful pilot, so if the choice is between going by air or sea, I'll take sea and drive where the boat cannot go. I just wish there were better places where our other Pegasus boats could spawn.

 

My new choice: Stunt Cams.

 

Is there a really valid reason to default to this camera angle--especially in a race? There's nothing better to throw your rhythm off and distract you from the next CP. Then again, I've never quite understood GTA's fascination with hidden stunt jumps--both in single player campaigns and in the online realm.
