You can't transfer modded account(s) anymore?

There are still modded accounts online so why is this argument necessary for the hundredth time?

Why is your comment necessary for the thousandth time. I see you do this all the time, all over this place. You come to a thread and say this isn't necessary or undermine the conversation altogether. Why? Why can't you move on or not even enter this thread? Do you have nothing to contribute? Any opinions on the matter? You care to share your feelings towards this topic?

 

I'm just curious, I don't mean to be hostile or anything but I don't think I've ever seen you contribute in a constructive manner. Could you not have reported this thread if you thought is was unnecessary and move on quietly. Again I'm just asking dude because I don't understand.

I've seen this comment before and just like those before You You are exaggerating. You've not read every post I made. You can chose to ignore all my comments just like you suggest I report the thread and move on but you chose to be a hypocrite where I chose to make an observation that while transfers may have stopped there are still modded accounts online so what does this topic accomplish other than a spiraling Bitch fest.

Regardless of whether or not a Modified Account has any advantage over me or not is not the point. The point is a modified account demeans my hard work, dilutes the games rewards and directly impacts the gameplay of everyone.

I don't think so. Players have put in +1000 hours to be where they are yet they see others with a higher rank that they will never achieve. It's discouraging, it undermines the time others have put in by screwing with the rank system. Players have a right to be upset at these players and at rockstar.

 

Why should someone have more everything then me when I've put in over 1000 hours yet they have only put in 10 hours. It's not fair, annoying, discouraging.

 

Why should players pay real money for sharkcards or put in real time for rank when they could get everything for free right now.

 

I don't know, my views change but as of right now I'm glad rockstar is finally starting to do something.

 

It's not about advantages it's what players have worked for. What they deserve for time invested for playing this game. It's about what's fair.

Well that's good for you. I can agree that I'm the only one that cares about my legit rank and really in game I'm probably the only one that thinks my rank and KD is legit. It's my accomplishments.

 

That doesn't change that fact that others are upset and discouraged by seeing phony accounts. The only reason I get so many texts like "r u moder" is because they are a real thing and rockstar has allowed GTAO to be over run with fake ranks. That effects me directly when other players think I cheated my rank. Players approach me differently because of all modded accounts.

on top of that, your memory failed you, i didnt brag about being loaded with modded money before transfering because, i didnt got modded money. i transfered with around 130millions i earned doing heist for months!

Well I'm sure others are getting different things from it. I personally am getting an insight into other players opinions of why they think it's okay or not. How they try to justify what they are doing, those sorts of things. Players want to discuss and I'm enjoying reading what others have to say and what they think of all this.

 

Yeah still lots of rank 8000 out there but stopping the flow of new accounts is a step in the right direction.

Long post ahead, sorry...

 

Perfect case in point of why this is sort of a bad thing: tonight I ran into a stalker, this d-bag who was battling with me and my friends recently and added me as a friend so he could follow me around. We've exchanged some words and he's appeared in lobbies with me a few times to not much result. Whatever. But tonight, I ended up in a session with him and 3 or 4 of his friends. Initially they were all org'ed up together and when the fireworks started, they all came after me.

 

Now - I know that all of them except my stalker friend had modded accounts. How? 1 - They had comically high levels (one was a level 4000 exactly). 2 - When I fought a couple of them on the ground, they were invisible except their heads (GG, Rockstar). 3 - In the postgame trash talking, I accused them of having fake accounts and the stalker guy flat-out admitted it, as a way of supposedly making me look bad (because two of these guys managed to get a single kill on me, even though they were new players, so therefore I'm a "noob"... I think that was his logic).

 

Why was this a bad thing? Because they all had access to stuff they shouldn't have; they all cared nothing about money; and they all came after me at once with all barrels blazing. They de-orged, then all registered as CEOs, then all fired up separate ghost orgs at different times so I couldn't ever figure out where they might be coming from. They all got Hydras (though they were awful pilots and crashed without killing me for the most part). And of course the aforementioned invisibility. When the stalker guy was fighting against MY friends, who all have legit accounts and were launch players on LAST gen, they were lower levels with fewer options and a lot less cash. One of them, despite having played all this time, still doesn't own an office and thus can't use CEO perks. Another one still doesn't own an Insurgent. Basically, if my friends went up against his, they would have the advantage (except in skill at the game of course) simply because they took a giant shortcut.

 

So yeah... screw that. To quote someone else here, "Sorry not sorry." I get the frustration over in-game pricing and shark cards, but these infinite-cash, infinite-rank, invisible dudes are borderline game-breaking. Thank god most of them are godawful players, but give 'em a month and I'm sure they'll be top-notch trolls, with nothing to lose because money means less than nothing to them. They're just not playing the same game as legit players. If they want to stay out of PvP, then fine - but if they're going to come after me, I'm going to make a point of hurting them a little extra.

If you receive a ban hammer for cheating the game, good. I hope you wasted some real life money on a modded account

2. Dont ever say it doesnt affect other players. There is a reason why most people despise it...because it affected them. If I had unlimited money, I wouldnt mind wasting my entire arsenal of explosives and blow up every one of your supercars. Since I dont have that, I do mind wasting my money on someone who does.

 

3. I dont buy shark cards and can afford a lot of stuff...and I even started late in last gen, and had about a 9 month hiatus. Dont bitch about shark cards, dont buy them either.

a few weeks ago i posted a short rant about how modded accounts have devalued stuff and taken away the meaning of ranks, so i get that part, the current state of ranks/money in gtao its pretty much at lost, our best hope is for R* to learn from their mistakes and implement a better system for the next installment of franchise as there is no way of saving the current gtao.

 

which is why i am so careless about the topic.

Wouldn't it make more sense to file a cease-and-desist order against anyone who sells modded accounts and those who made the trainers, rather than use a blanket solution and turning a simple transfer task into a chore with a service as sh*tty as R* support?

If you don't like the way this game works, go play a different one... Oh, right, there isn't any other game such as GTA Online.

 

When you play a video game, or use any software in general, you have a list of terms of service you must respect. It's like a contract you sign. Before being able to even install/ play a game, you have to accept it. There is no "personal options", either you accept the terms given to you, or do not and cannot play the game. That's it. If you don't respect the rules of the game you previously accepted, then you're risking to suffer the consequences, and others are totally free to criticize you for acting in such way.

 

This is not a PC vs console, last gen vs current gen or any other sh*t talk thread you can end up by saying it's a personal choice. Rules should be respected and you can't even play the game without reading (or actually saying you read it) and accepting them.

On a serious note, the game is meant to be grindy - whether you like it or not. You arrive in Los Santos with literally nothing. No money, no weapons, no cars, and the only person you know is the idiot Lamar. Then you grind your way up, meeting new contacts and buying better stuff, and doing more than stealing tankers because Lamar tells you to. It's about doing work and progressing, not sitting in a chair doing nothing and waiting for the money to come to you.

 

And let's face it, the economy wouldn't be hyper-inflated if it wouldn't get completely f*cked over by people who cheat. Billionaire days, money glitches, modded accounts especially. Had those never happened, then maybe we wouldn't have a $1.7m sports car.

Just my opinion, but i think it does not matter if the account is modded or not to effect other peoples gameplay. It matters what kind of person is behind it. If the person is an asshat with an invisible body who runs around amd kills everyone well yes than it definitly does affect everyone, but if the person just wants to test cars before buying them on a legit account or just have some fun without moneyproblems that will not effect anyone.

Also a little fun fact: A player can also transfer all his money to his second character, take his hydra/savage/buzzard on his first character and grief the sh*t out of a lobby without spending a single dollar. So there is no need for a modded account to be a griefing as*hat.

I am currently attacking and trolling Ebay members that are still advertising GTA Recoveries and stating that transfers still work etc, I hate people like these, they take your money and then come up with a pathetic excuse, unfortunately for them I am the wrong man to be messed about.
