You can't transfer modded account(s) anymore?

Well, MrBossFTW had no problem getting (and using) a modded account around February 10th of this year--jump to around 35 min. in his video below--see how long it take before it's magically deleted:

 

Count thoze zeros, add in the level 1 (ahem), and voila--modded account. 2.3 billion in cash alone? Nice.

 

...the equivalent of 297.5 Megalodon ($8,000,000) Shark Cards; roughly $29,452.50 in US dollars to buy legitimately. Seriously doubt he earned that much in Shark Cards via Opinion Outpost...

Seems there's issues with the transfer system, some account transfer, some don't. Some legit account get blocked and some modded accounts get blocked. This is nothing new, the GTAO character transfer system has been bugged since day 1 on current gen.

 

What really happened was: a few people have issues transferring their accounts, they posted their bitching online in threads like this, then others start posting complete speculative bullsh*t, then youtubers start talking about it, sh*t gets retweeted and all of sudden "OMG ALL MODDED ACCOUNT TRANSFERS ARE BANNED!"

Nop. Cheated accounts are getting blocked. Met this dude who has 3,617,236,025,201,131,389$ on 360, he was not allowed to transfer, contacted support, they've removed ALL his cash and then he was allowed to transfer. Cheated accounts AREN'T getting through anymore.

 

 

Well like i said some don't and some do, he was one of the unlucky ones. This still doesn't mean all modded accounts AREN'T transferring. Keep you rank under 100, have a few days played i.e don't transfer an account you just created and don't transfer more than $500,000,000. If you want a modded account get in quick before the door gets shut completely after the next update. But to be honest, I doubt they will ever be able to stop modded accounts unless they block the transfer system completely.

The thing that will have spurred action is the widespread use of their trademarks to make money (ie the vendors). That's a much bigger deal to them than the 'integrity of the game'.

 

As the service they are selling involves the transfer process, unless they manage to filter bought accounts 100% I think we'll see the transfer process closed soon.

I agree this is the primary thing motivates R*, also all the people getting ripped of by fake modders, and the huge spike in rank 2000+ accounts that would be getting reported daily. I think they might just stop the automated process, and will switch to a manual approval process if they fail to block it completely with the next update. If I had a rank 2000+ account I'd would be getting worried, it's only a matter of time before they get banned too!

it all has to comedown to days played stat, im sure they have access to a lot of metrics, so getting an average of the amount of time required to get to X rank, should be available to them.

 

some script that filters days played and rank or days played and money.

 

if rank is too high for the amount of days played, that account should get flagged for revision.

 

same with the money, if X amount of money is too high for the amount of days played, that account shoupd get flagged.

 

its like the only way of filtering those low level modded account with tons of money aswell as the obvious modded accounts.

Looks like I got in just in time, I created my own around the time cunning stunts had been out a few weeks, used it for a few days and left it as a "try before you buy" account. My main account has enough to buy what I want, and the resources to make enough to replace what I spend, but I won't waste it because the grind to get the money back is a waste of my time. I was recently toying with the idea of getting a Virgo classic custom so loaded up my modded account (for the first time in weeks) and bought one, tried it out, decided it wasn't worth the money on my main account, saved over half a million dollars.

 

I find it funny that people say all they need to do is use the days played stat and the rank/money stat. Have you seen how many hoops we have to go through to get the colour we want for our crew? LSC has 70 odd colours instead of a colour picker wheel or rgb input. Rockstar don't do simple, and it's biting them in ass.
