You can't transfer modded account(s) anymore?

So can someone clear up what exactly they have done to prevent the accounts from transferring? I am still yet to see a serious answer explaining the situation, is it a mistake?

I highly doubt it is a mistake; it seems very much intentional.

• Transferring previous GTA Online data is a special feature of GTAV that may not be available to all users or at all times, and may, upon 30 days notice be terminated, modified, or offered under different terms.
• Transfers may only be made between accounts owned by the same player and transfers may be rejected, modified, or reversed if the player or transfer violates the transfer requirements, Terms of Service (rockstargames.com/legal) or End User License Agreement (rockstargames.com/eula).

In my true belief, they are making every character transfer be verified by them. When you try to transfer you get "unable to transfer, contact rockstar support"

 

You contact them and they tell you that you have violated.

 

So this states that they have updated their security thing and recovery accounts will not be accepted.

 

What everyone is hoping for is that this is due to a bug in their connection to their servers.

 

But yeah, Rockstar are horrible, useless idiots

Besides the numerous grammatical and spelling mistakes, it's hilarious that anyone would think Rockstar is losing sleep over players quitting who A) will never ever buy a shark card anyway (because they only play when they have billions of modded money), and B) are turning off a lot of the legit players already. It's just like script kiddies threatening to quit because their mod menu got banned. Yes, that's the idea. Please go away.

Want a super car? Have to do a heist 6 times and the minimum time that would take is 6 hours if you do it perfectly. I love how people now grind heists and say money is easy to get. 5 times for 2 million Heist payouts are so great. Yep a main bank in the middle of the city only has $1,250,000 seems fair.

so basically instead of using modded accounts one should just glitch the heist with friends? sounds logical. I'll keep using my modded account, I still have a legit 630 and a 240, but everytime a new DLC drops I'll just buy everything I want and the billions will still be there. Getting a modded account saved me from countless hours of grinding. Now I can say that I only play the game for fun, and I def don't play as much as I used to.

Legitimate accounts seem to be having no issue where as modified accounts are. Someone tried to transfer both earlier in the thread and the modified one was a no-go.

How do you know they have modded accounts? Just curious. Do they have their stats public?

 

I think a lot of these people might just not know how to transfer properly. Someone I know just did a transfer a few days ago.

 

From the plethora of modded accounts I've allegedly noticed, they don't try to hide the fact it's modded with a level above 2k it's not legit, an insane kd like 1678.0064 and the fact the character has a floating head makes a good chunk of them obvious.

 

Other than that, Rockstar should be able to tell that a character was just made, but has 5billion, everything unlocked and level 8000. Hopefully their anti-cheat has improved and these accounts start getting banned.

 

 

 

A K/D in the hundreds or thousands doesn't mean it's modded. You can easily have a high K/D without modding by closing app or cutting power any time you are killed so the death doesn't get uploaded to the servers. Now a K/D of a billion or a negative number is surely modded.

Maybe you need to transfer from machines with the same IP or something. I'm going to build up a "legit" account using only years old glitches later today and see if that transfers. Then I'll know what can be done.

If playing a video game in any capacity made you lose money, you're doing it right.

 

Video games are consumables.

 

Also if your time is that valuable that playing a game legitimately is robbing you of your time, then maybe you need a better hobby...

 

Or a more productive activity in your making money time that is more valuable.

Support section in Se7ensins saying after a phone call with R*, that they are stopping transfers for 30 days pending a revamp of the transfer system.

Not sure how credible the source is.

Lets hope the next step they do is ban the remaining modded accounts that are currently on next gen servers.

 

It would be nice to have a clean sweep on all servers before the next big DLC drops. Something tells me that is Rockstar's plan. Blocking modded accounts from being transferred is the first step.

 

We see the crying now, wait till the character bans happen. Man oh man!
