Just the brand makes the excitement. You know how it is, man, strumming a Washburn makes the same sounds but a Gibson is something completely different. That's the feeling I get every time I start playing one of your mission packs, Jimmy, special. That's why you are my favorite designer.

Now to this one itself. People know I'm not high with the zombie genre, even though I once tried my wings with it. Nonetheless, I tried to put the fact aside but I just couldn't do it. At times, I found myself even bored - not because of the delivery, but because the genre is hard for me to chew on.

The usual was in place, as always - the plot was amazingly well thought out, and the gameplay was well made. However, I think you slipped back a bit to how it was with some other work of yours, the balance was too much in the cutscene side and less on the gameplay, which I found a bit dull at times. The great story of course rewards somewhat, but it was a bit much.

Again, brilliant story, good gameplay - yet it's far from my favorite work of yours, Jimmy. Next time, I'd like to see you return to the roots with a more 'down to earth' genre and make something crime themed. Expect to see me explode of excitement once I see that arrive in the mission section.

Keep it up man, hope you find time for more soon.

I was looking forward to your feedback for quite some time, good to see it finally :D

Thank you for the detailed feedback, man. I appreciate the reasoning behind what you said and yes, I agree. I wanted to try out something new and it really was a rewarding experience for me, especially since most of people who played the mission pack liked it. Thing you mentioned about zombie genre being tough to implement in a GTA game is something I agree with 100% and that's the reason why I was hesitant to make a mission pack of this kind for so long. Even now after I made it, I still don't feel like it fits the game. However, it was fun and challenging coming up with the story for this one. I'd say the ''experiment'' was a success, but to complement your statement, yes, I don't think I'll be going back to this kind of mission pack any time soon.

Like I said a few days ago, for my upcoming project (hopefully next year), I will dig into the gang theme, so that will definitely somewhat bring me back to the ''routes'' :D We'll see how that goes since I won't be starting with the script until the beginning of next year, so it might be a while until that mission pack sees the light of day, but I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Cheers :D

Why would you re-create my missions for? I'm not cool with that, buddy. That's pretty much plagiarism. I can't give you permission for that, sorry man.

I played chapter one and recorded it giving my opinions, guesses and a small review at the end of it. I'll give a final and definitive score (and review) once I'm done playing chapter two.

If you don't feel like watching the video, I'll list my thoughts so far:

-There are no incoherences in the story.

-It feels more like a movie.

-The gameplay sections are entertaining but totally not challenging.

-You can easily make up your mind if you like or not a character.

-Writing is almost perfect.

-There is nothing wrong to say about the angle of the cutscenes, the placement of the objects or the use of effects.

-Quick paced but still slow enough not to be too quick.

-Etc.

Hey man, good to hear from you. I'm glad you took the time to make a long video review. I'll be sure to watch it later today.

I'm glad you like it so far. It means a lot to hear that one more person is satisfied with this mission pack since it was my first on that theme :) By the way, I checked the DYOM site for the project you were talking about and I like it a lot. It will sure give the site a boost and a refreshing image.

I'm looking forward to reading the (or perhaps watching if it's gonna be a video) review of the second chapter. :D

Cheers :)

General Scrotum

I just played chapter two.

For those who don't feel like watching the video, here are my final thoughts about this mission pack:

-There are no incoherences in the story.

-It feels more like a movie.

-The gameplay sections are entertaining but totally not challenging (except maybe the last mission if you are not careful enough and not fast enough).

-You can easily make up your mind if you like a character or not (this was the first time I wanted an allied actor to die).

-Writing is almost perfect.

-There is nothing wrong to say about the angle of the cutscenes and the effects used in some, the placement of objects, vehicles, etc. In fact, it adds more to that movie feeling mentioned above.

-Quick paced but still slow enough not to be too quick.

-You play on the psychological aspect of the human mind in some cases (as an example; being able to kill your friend so he can die human or not being able to and let him live but he turns into a vulture (or a Blood Rain Afflicted as I like to call them). Although the final decision is decided by the designer as part of the mission, it leaves questioning if you would be able to or not in real life. Or as another example; would you have let that guy enter the bunker or not? There are other moments that I could have mentioned.)

-The story concept is interesting.

-The ending leaves an open door for a sequel.

-Etc.

A final score for this mission pack (or movie with some gameplay elements :p ) would be a 8.3 out of 10.

Thanks a lot on the detailed review, man.

I actually watched the most of the live stream today. I tuned in somewhere around the beginning of mission ''Prowler''. I was surprised you never got killed and that you actually failed only once due to time limit. Anyway, awesome walkthrough, I really enjoyed watching it. I appreciate the very hight rating, means a lot to me. :D

Good luck with your other walkthrough videos you're doing at the moment.

Cheers :D

The John David

Hi Jimmy, So now, I played all the series and here's the result.

Objects/Effects Placements:

Amazing, and cool effects too - 4.87/5

Plot/Story:

Outstanding, I understand everything and so sad that Clyde sacrifice on the ending too. But it was great - 5/5

Player's Placement:

No need to say this, but every player in the series is outstanding - 5/5

Spellings/Grammars Mistakes:

Excellent! No errors/mistakes found on every series - 5/5

Settings Actor's Health + Difficulty:

Excellent! Vultures and a Military forces is normal for me to kill, this is so crazy, lol - 5/5

Same as the above, but the difficult is easy/normal to me - 4.69/5

Length:

Each series took me off less than 13 minutes, but on the mission running over the tunnel or whatever, is finish me off 18 minutes, you should change the actors animation "Run" to "Sprint" to make it faster - 4/5

Overall Score:

33.56 / 7

4.79/5 - Very Satisfactory
