I'm j/k. About anyone being a fool, that is. But I am serious about being a woman in real life. Once I even had a baby surgically extracted from my womb!

 

Anyways, not that it matters who is female irl and who isn't. I'm mostly just here to say I'm honored to have made it to Top 20! There are a lot of great-looking characters in this thread (over 100, am I correct?) so I have no doubt it was very difficult for the judges to narrow it down to just 20. I put a lot of time and thought into designing my character so I'm proud that she made it this far.

WoW! 5 pages of, ummmmm, well a giant bag of laughs since I was last on yesterday! It's too bad I'm at the end for the moment!

 

This is the first Miss LS that I have seen and its a great contest! Definitely one of the more entertaining parts of being a member here.

 

To the top 20, great work! You definitely earned your place.

To the rest of the field, I hope you try again next year. Good on ya for even trying.

To the tear wells, get a grip. Take whatever momma's little helper is these days and look ahead to next year.

1st round was just a way to filter the 20 from the rest.

 

This is the next stage where you guys and gals can really showoff your skills.

 

Some will get made fun of and some will be praised.

 

Thank goodness I don't have that kind of pressure.

 

P.S. I'm assuming each contestant will have to tell us why we shouldn't vote for the other right?

Don't tell me you never got killed in LS. The judges are doing a good job I think. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we have at least six (6) of them. So its very unlikely something is fiddled excessively.

 

It's a game (did I mentioned?) - next time I'll try harder in being creative. See, Coleco stopped to shave her legs;

I'm starting my workout to be in shape next year: (and humor is the best way to get over it)

 

 

For me - I enjoyed to participate here. I learned a lot about using the video editor for moving pictures and not only for taking a snap.

 

Sure, I'm slightly disappointed. But slightly - not desperately or deeply. It's a natural reaction of any human in situations of loosing something/somewhere. But it wasn't the 1st time, and it won't be the last time. So deal with it - take it as an appeal to do it better next time and pick your next favorite of the 20s and wish her luck. It's that easy, I you once managed to swallow one's pride. Stay fair.

 

Now I'm looking forward for to next round(s) - good luck all.

Hmmm... it's not that I don't understand the complaints at all but it does seem like they were taking the contest quite seriously... Which is quite funny because if that were to be the case... then they could use that to prepare themselves even better for next year's contest. In other words... take that loss as a good lesson and come back stronger, and unless the host X S is busy or dead (j/k X S lol...) , you will have another chance.

Being a curious person, I decided to have another look at what this thread had become since the number of posts/pages had swelled to such an enormous amount. One post in particular prompted me to comment, but I'll get to that in a minute.

 

Either way, I thought I took this game seriously at times, but Jesus Christ, is it really the end of the world that your virtual character didn't move onto the second round of a GTA Forums contest, which was organised simply for fun and entertainment and has no 'real' prize? Is this something some of you were hoping to put on your resume? No offence, but holy mother of Christ, get a grip--it's not the end of the bloody world and no one is dead or actually even dying. Some of you are acting like a group of spoiled seven year olds who all got picked last for the softball team. Someone apparently got banned because they lost control and new accounts have been popping up out of nowhere to put forth their compelling words of wisdom. Seriously?! Bloody hell, take a break and go outside; it might vastly improve your health.

 

All of these wild conspiracies and attempting to dissect hidden agendas and how the contest was originally set forth is ridiculous. You all read the rules and guidelines before you entered and no one forced your hand to enter. Everyone knew there would only be 20 moving on to the next round, so what exactly do you want? Do you want the judges to step back and say, "Just joking, everyone; since so many cannot deal with not moving on to the next round, we've decided to just let everyone move on."? Yeah, that's the way it should work; the contest would infinitely spiral into a circle where no one would win or lose because god forbid you offend someone by not declaring their entry as a winner. A loss for someone would be due to some sort of hidden agenda, bias against your character's ethnic background, corruption among the judges, blah blah, etc. etc.

 

Sigh.

 

Who cares when someone made their character? Who cares if people signed up just to enter the contest? Who cares if some of those people are in the same crew? Introducing a rank requirement or even asking about such a thing is well, ridiculous for reasons previously mentioned. Also, I myself am in the same crew(s) with several of these participants, and I'm not crying or making a scene because my entry isn't moving on. Someone mentioned it earlier, but many of us are active in the Snapmatic realm of the game, so it would indeed make sense that we would gravitate towards something where we share a common interest. It's not a conspiracy or bias; that much I can assure you. Believe it or not, it is all going to be fine. You will likely live to see another day.

 

 

Basically no white women Barbie types.

 

What if I want to party with Barbie? We're just chillin' and I'm like "Come on, Barbie. Let's go have a party." She'd be all like "Ahh, Ah, Ah, Yeah!" Then I'd have to be like. Naw, you're white and it's not alright. Then we'd have to talk about her feelings and how she is being excluded.

 

Doesn't seem like a fun evening.

 

 

This is the comment. I don't think I have laughed so hard whilst reading this board ever. I'm recommending this for post of the year; it's not only refreshing to see a great sense of humour, but one that is also coupled with logic and common sense. Kudos!

Also, best of luck to the judges for having to shuffle through all of this madness; I don't envy you, but again, I thank you for putting together this contest.
