If there is /thread this one and redirect me to that thread. If not don't lock this mods please. CreepShow
YES. I always call RDR "GTA Wild West". The story is amazing, the gameplay is superior, the price is waaaaaay low at this time. What are you waiting for? NearExpansion
Eugene H. Krabs
YES. Definitely. The game blew my mind. If you have a couple of extra bucks to spend, you can get the Game of the Year Edition.
BUT THE BENZ
No way José! This game's a huge bugfest with zero replay value and a horrible story to begin with, filled with totally boring and shallow characters. Game's mechanics are super lame and unresponsive. Don't waste your time with this garbage!!

The_B1u3_Jay
YES! I think you should buy the Game of the year edition as it includes all the DLC on the disk, including a fun Zombie mission pack. Red dead Redemption is basically a Western themed GTA set in 1911. Although Instead of cars, you have horses. As for the multiplayer, its sadly been ruined by hackers who have broken the game beyond repair. :-( Eugene H. Krabs

Fuzzknuckles
It's probably the best game ever made, so no, absolutely not, you definitely should not play it, ever. FFS. volta2001 1 Signatures are dumb anyway.

BenMitchell90
Hell yeah! If you enjoy the GTA games even the tiniest bit, and have even the slightest interest in westerns, you really owe it to yourself to check out Red Dead Redemption. Plus it's getting up there in years so you can probably get it for pennies these days. Know that Red Dead Revolver isn't really like GTA, and doesn't really have anything to do with Redemption. It's pretty much Max Payne with a spaghetti western coat of paint. I remember it being a pretty fun game, but you don't need to play it to get the most out of Redemption. MisterLanceVanceDance
Dude GTA has always been my favorite series of games, I love just about everything Rockstar puts out. But Red Dead Redemption is so well put together it's the only game I ever cared to get 100% completion on. It's a masterpiece and you're seriously deprived if you never play through it. 10/10 NearExpansion and Original Light
D9fred95
I have yet to play a western as good as RDR. Gun was pretty good but not nearly as good as Redemption.
wagszilla
Absolutely. It's arguably Rockstar's best game of last generation. It's certainly the one I've played the most followed by GTA IV and then GTA V.
Original Light
Definitely buy it. It performs, in some aspects, better than GTA (in my opinion, at least). Edited September 16, 2016 by Original Light Mister Pink

Osho
If Online will make you more likely to play Red Dead games then I guess you are more into the multiplayer side of Red Dead than SP. Regarding RDR, I'd not recommend buying the game, at all. I think its very overrated with a mediocre story and worst of all mindnumbingly boring content on offer. The wild west setting is simply used as background for the story. The open world itself feels a lot lifeless, and not the kind of wild west I had hoped for with much more research being put into making the setting very interesting to capture the time and place, but its just empty wasteland for the most part. No freedom within the tightly scripted missions. Pretty much like watching a movie than focused on creativity through gameplay. Its been a long time since I last played the game that I can't recall much about it. All I can say is, it doesn't deserve all the praise it gets, in my opinion. So, approach it with caution doing proper research before buying the game. I will leave with these two helpful articles that sum up perfectly about the game's overall experience. - RDR: Is It the Last-Gen's Biggest Zero? link - RDR: Not that great link Best to wait for RDR 2 to release and spend your money elsewhere for now. NearExpansion
It is simply the best looking Rockstar game I've played - the detail for a last gen machine is really quite marvellous. Which would be useless but it also happens to have one of the best stories and leading character R* ever created. The open world itself feels a lot lifeless Really? I found the open world far more engaging than previous R* games. Never bothered with spray tags, green statues, flying rats but I completed lot more of the open world side activities on this game, the poker, liar dice, horse races, five finger fillet, horseshoes were all great stuff to try. G.T.
I highly recommend the game. It is an open-world game sets in 1800s. Instead of driving cars, you should be riding a horse in the desert.
