Jackie Flannery
Last night I was causing the usual mayem when I found a nice place to cause bother and not get wasted / busted. Anyway, I managed to get a load of cop cars and army vehicles into the water and guess what - none of them sank or blew up. If I remember rightly in GTA3, if a vehicle goes into the water - it catches fire? and goes bang. It would be very nice if this was to happen in a fixed version of VC for the PC release. I know a car catching fire and blowing up in water may seem dumb - but not as dumb as having 30+ vehicles bobbing up and down in the sea withe lights and sirens still going ( I wonder if the game registers that these vehicles have been destroyed?). shauno
Yeah I see what you mean but it's pointless them blowing up just because there in the water well they could make them sink and it's better than gta3 because they don't blow up and the guys inside would have drown by then so blow it up yourself - Shauno
Jackie Flannery
Thanks for the advice. I guess I was just making a point about the dumb a$$ way the vehicles just sit there and float - whereas in GTA3 they blow and make room for MORE!!! [ZERO]
Yeah, they should definitely sink. Catching on fire in the water is dumb.
deme7
Cars didnt ALWAYS blow up in water in GTA3. I remember dinstinctly, watching cop cars fly into the water while i stood underneath the bridge, they would just float there, and i would jump on them! Duce
just wondering, can you actually blow up tanks? (besides flipping them over) Ive shot one with a rocket launcher alot and it didnt even start smoking.
Purple9
just wondering, can you actually blow up tanks? (besides flipping them over) Ive shot one with a rocket launcher alot and it didnt even start smoking. They take a lot of damage, I mean a lot, before they get even close to smoke. My tank's been blown up before..by the cops..after hundreds of bullets, and hundreds of collisions, my tank had had it! Verrrrry durable. The Precinct - We're upping our standards, so up yours! WhoooMan
Rhino is powerless against flame thrower, after catching on fire a couple time, then it'll blow up!
Jackie Flannery
Rhino is powerless against flame thrower, after catching on fire a couple time, then it'll blow up! I like to lick lovingly around the outside... Sorry, try that again: I like to use molotovs to whack the tanks. It takes 2 of 3 bottles to make them brew up. My advice is to wait for one than one tank to show up. It's more cost effective that way. The most I got to brew up at once was six - I was on top on the greasy chopper at the time - no pun intended. DAN_F83
I've not got Vice yet - only got a pc - but in GTA3 - if the cars landed upside down in the water they exploded, but if right way up - they just float. As for the tanks - other than shooting for 10 mins - you can throw 3 or 4 Molotov Cocktails - that seems to work - cause each one lasts a while constantly taking damage off it. Good idea about the cars sinking. Would be fun to watch player sink to the bottom trapped in the car... should be able to swim a bit tho - then could escape and get back to shore...
