FifaYoun 8
Thanks for telling this, I will try to fix this. My initial thought was to make the pitlane a different colour than the racetrack, so people would recognise it. That's why the whole racetrack is red except the pitlane which is orange. I also think about closing the pitlane, since it doesn't have a checkpoint anyway. Or do you guys still use it once in a race or something? Anyway I'll update it right away. I'm also trying to replicate the Yas Marina circuit now. I think there are a couple of options for the pit lane... You could use secondary checkpoints, just move the checkpoint that is there back to the corner so its clearer which way to go or just block off the pitlane. Seeing as you can duplicate a published race you could probably go with two of these options and have two slightly different races. Either way I would definitely use the track again, apart from that minor flaw its a great race. The problem with secondary checkpoints, is that you can't have 2 final checkpoints. To make this possible I have to make the starting/finish line somewhere else, but then it isn't the same. Anyway, I might duplicate it and make different versions as you said.

I didn't realise it was the last checkpoint, you might just be able to squeeze another one (plus secondary) in on the corner. Either you there are a few options to get round this, when you do it will be worth the effort. Dont forget to post your new versions here for those who appreciate the tracks. I will post here next time we run all the tracks one night so we can build numbers.

owl-man 8,158
It would be nice to see some more tracks for Xbox, there's only 2 tracks. Anyone able to do an Xbox version of that Albert Park track? I used to live just across the road from the real track so it's super nostalgic for me.

whywontyoulisten 13,225
Has anyone had a go at the old Brooklands banked circuit? Would love to take my sports classics out around that. Brooklands should be pretty simple once you get the hang of making banked turns. The Casino horsetrack might be a good spot for a miniature version, LSIA or Zancudo runways would probably be better for a full scale version.
éX-Driver 4,489
I've made 60s Monza, 60s Silverstone, and 70s Hockenheim. But I'm a lazy arse so I didn't add any decorative props. But they are all pretty much to scale. I'm planning on doing either 60s or 80s México city and Prince George Circuit. Can't be bothered with circuits with elevation change, and I haven't a clue how to do cambered/banked corners.
JuniorChubb 4,513
BTW peeps, seeing as this thread has been bumped I was gonna run another Real Life Tracks Race night, the last one was great fun, lets go bigger and better. There are probably a few ways of doing it, if you are on PS4 I can show you the technique I use and we can run a race with banked corners.

XB1? sorry mate... thread/ Sorrry, couldn't resist. Seeing as I cant do a share play and give you a demo here is a quick text version of how I would make a banked corner (there are lots of ways of going about this). Tilt you last straight section s so the inside is slightly lower than the oustise (using advanced placement and remembering which angles you have used). The next prop should be a short straight, rotate it to the left or right by between 5 and 15 degrees and also tilt it so the inside is lower (between half and 1 degree) and move it into place so it nestles in nicely next to the previous prop. Take another small straight, snap it to the previous one then again rotate it in the direction the turn is going (5-15 degrees) and tilt it slightly. Keep doing this and the corner will start to bank by a degree or so with each track section added... This is a slow process and will involve a lot of trial and error, not necessarily right or wrong but how I go about making a banked corner.

Yeah, that was nice! And I remember bitching my Felzer was slow, was by far the slowest on the straights, I figured out a few days later my right trigger wasn't working properly so I'd love a rematch. I'll also add my re-creation of Circuit Gilles Villeneuve to the mix if you guys want. Will make a few snaps and post it here later.

At the moment I have not got a clue as i have deleted the playlist we used last time. The new playlist will depend on who signs up as I like to include races created by those who are racing, I might add a race or two that has been created by other GTAF users but not posted in this thread. ReRo 497
I actually made this track a few months ago but it has a slight issue so I haven't posted it here. But after doing a few more laps on it I noticed that it happens very rarely. The issue is that at just one part of the track the waves occasionally get slightly above the road, but it's easily avoidable and rare. Would take me too long to raise the whole track and while I was working on the track the waves weren't an issue that's why I didn't notice it sooner. Track's layout is a bit shorter than the original due to prop limit. There's no pit lane but the stands are all made as in reality. Tried to liven it up with some trees as well. FR_Player-One 1,569
A member of my crew had his right trigger "not working properly" as well during a racing event... seems like a recurring excuse, I mean, issue lol(just kidding) Yeah, you have to be aware of the waves when building over the ocean... They can go pretty high. I also discovered this issue when building a track too low ^^ @Junior, alright. We'll know later then.
