I've also been working on a real life track recreation myself - Okayama International Circuit. Been at it for two days, I'm maybe half way done, track is set, working on surroundings now, it's a pain. Too bad I work over the weekend, probably won't be done until next week.

Seattle Circuit (PS4, GT, Real-Life)

http://rsg.ms/1b92cdc

Note: I reached the prop limit so the scenery/extras after the bridge is missing but the majority of it there. I see about 4-5 spaces i can make but if anyone notices any unnecessary props to use let me know. I would need about 20. But either way, you will still receive the seattle circuit vibe! :)

Well my MK Ghost Valley is now redundant since R* have stopped us using GTA in Stunt Races...

Does this group of PS4 creators/fans/racers want to get together some day to race after making a playlists out of all of our tracks?

Sounds cool Iroquois, the flag under your avatar makes me think there might be time issues though...

Nice...

I usually run a Top Gear night most Wednesdays at 20:00 BST, I could easily run a Real Life Tracks Top Gear Special, a Saturday night is cool too if I know in advance.

It might be more fitting for FR-Player to take charge as its his thread, he can take the hassle of settling any racing incidents if we don't run on Non Contact.

Either way is good for me :)

Yeah maybe, I would love to take care of it myself,

but I really don't play too often, so I don't have much time to set up a playlist and organize that. (in addition to what I want to do with the time I got)

I believe you guys can manage (via private messages so we don't get off topic here) to set up a playllist, with the 'best' (or your favourite) tracks from the OP or somewhere else. ^^

Maybe 7-8 of them?

The OP is up to date, fyi.

Rules for racing are simples. No need for NODO rules, but. Race fairly and don't be a d*ck. And accidents happens.

If you participate to a racing events, based around real life racing/races, the goal is to race.. right. Not to play Mario Kart ^^

Cool FR, I will gladly take the helm. Probably looking at a Wednesday night (maybe Sat too if its better for people).

I will start a new thread to save this thread going OT, I will be back to make a promo post here though as this is the source of the playlist and there are a few who follow this topic.

Edit: to those interested we are talking PS4 here aren't we? Best to check before we go any further.

I will run the tracks as part of my Weekly Top Gear thing at 20:00 BST on Wednesday.

If this is not a popular time my Crew (Van Society) do Saturday/Sunday night meets too, we could also run onone of these nights too if not many can make the Wednesday.

I will get a thread up tonight when I get home from work to save us derailing FR's thread too much.

In the meantime, I'll be working on:

Eiger Nordwand*

Fuji Speedway*

Circuito de Madrid (unsure about this one because of the high amount of detail)

Rome*

Daytona Road Course

London (Unsure about this one because of the high amount of detail)

Infineon Raceway*

Cape Ring*

High Speed Ring*

Special Stage Route 7*

Deep Forest Raceway*

Circuit de la Sarthe*

The ones I asterisked are the ones im going to going to go all out for. They are the ones im going have a lot of fun doing. Mainly Infineon, Deep Forest, Rome, Eiger, and cape. Eiger might be a failure and/or skipped because of absence of switzerland-esque mountain scenery :)

Finally finished the Okayama International Circuit.

I also included the elevation changes, found the tracks profile layout, but the elevation isn't as severe as in reality. It simply isn't possible due to stunt prop limitations and lack of uphill/downhill track props. It's also shorter, takes around 1 minute to round it in a sports car, which is the best category to use. It's 2.3 km (1.4 miles) in length instead of 3.7 km (2.3 miles), again due to prop limitations. I made it next to Mount Gordo, to help buld a nicer scenery around it, since the track is located a similar environment in Japan.

Here's an aerial view:

This is my interpretation of the Top Gear Test Track. Rather than use a floating base I wanted to get a closer match to the environment of the TGTT so I put the track on the runway at Ft Zancudo. To fit it in I have had to sacrifice accuracy (squash it) but we get the nice wide sections of runway vs the narrower road sections. I hope the compromises made in compacting the track don't take away from the advantages of actually placing the track on a runway.

I am currently working on a longer version, it suffers from the opposite and feels a bit elongated, I will post this soon.

I've tried to make the Gilles Villeneuve track (Canadian GP), not perfect, but not bad for my first ever creation I think.

This is a great track, we ran it on the Real Life Tracks playlist last week...

However you might want to adjust the position of the checkpoint where the pitlane is needs a bit of adjustment. It needs to be a bit clearer that you turn right. See the video below for what happened on the first lap when we raced it.

That was pretty funny though, think I was the only one that noticed and went the right way lol

It was the only time on the night I was actually gaining ground on you then boom!!!!

We all went the wrong way, if I was further behind you I would have followed you instead of Catman, but I have a history of following Catman in trouble.

Here is another track I was planning on posting a while ago... MarioKart Ghost Valley 1 SNES

Its pretty unauthentic now that R* have removed the GTA option from Stunt Races so it cannot be raced in a MarioKart style. Anyone who remembers Ghost Valley on the SNES though should check it out as its pretty damned close to the original. Once Speed Boosts return to Stunt Races you will be able to hop the shortcut just like you could with a feather or mushroom in the original.

No video for this one until R* give us back GTA Stunt Races.

Thanks for telling this, I will try to fix this. My initial thought was to make the pitlane a different colour than the racetrack, so people would recognise it. That's why the whole racetrack is red except the pitlane which is orange.

I also think about closing the pitlane, since it doesn't have a checkpoint anyway. Or do you guys still use it once in a race or something? Anyway I'll update it right away.

I'm also trying to replicate the Yas Marina circuit now.

I think there are a couple of options for the pit lane...

You could use secondary checkpoints, just move the checkpoint that is there back to the corner so its clearer which way to go or just block off the pitlane. Seeing as you can duplicate a published race you could probably go with two of these options and have two slightly different races.

Either way I would definitely use the track again, apart from that minor flaw its a great race. :)
