I'm really having fun with it, the game has problems but it's really playable and entertaining imo.

I started a new save because I felt like I was playing it wrong. This game has so many integrated systems it's easy to overlook how to use each of them properly. Also I don't know if it's me, but since that latest patch (which was a whopping 12GB) the game looks more beautiful for some reason. Probably just me.

Picked this one up, and for a freshman effort, it’s good. 

 

Like a a lot of people here have stated, there’s no true originality, but it does a good job of what was intended. 

 

I think it it was worth the pick up.

Been playing this on and off for the last week or so. It's OK. Nothing more than that, it's just OK. The sequel, which will almost certainly happen, is going to be great. 

 

Interesting how it's basically a stealth sequel to the old Siphon Filter games. If there's ever been a shock twist to a game series, knowing you completely failed to save the world in the old SF games is right up there with the best of them.

I think that, for a studio the size of Bend, it's very well done. Although I do agree that there's a lot of room for improvement, but a sequel is the perfect opportunity to do so and refine everything.

 

I noticed a lot of elements that reminded me of Syphon Filter, too, more than just the fact that it's in the same universe. The health and stamina bars remind me of SF's, I'm pretty sure Boozer's shotgun is the same pump-action shotty from SF, the NERO guys looking exactly like CBDC (maybe it's the same organization and they were renamed between SF and Days Gone?), and also the return of the taser that sets people on fire. If anything, now I feel like this game not only opens up the opportunity for its own direct sequel, but also a return to Syphon Filter. They can set it a few years prior to the initial outbreak and focus on how Logan and everyone failed to stop whatever happened that resulted in Days Gone occurring (I haven't finished the story, so I have no clue if it's fully explained ever, but even if it is, I'm sure SF's characters can be tied to it somehow in a prequel).

Bought this game last night. Can't complete the radio tower ambush mission because one of the enemies has apparently f*cked off back to Idaho or something. Killed 9 of the 10 guys then ran around their camp for 40 minutes shooting my gun off looking for the last guy. Never found him.

Bought this game with the current sale going on and I'm close to finishing it. I gotta say, this game is way better than I thought it would be. The traversal with your bike is fantastic, best bike riding in a game I've ever seen. The exploration and story is great and the combat is good too. Beautiful looking game as well. I'm really impressed. The only real issue I have is the pacing. Sometimes the game can take it bit a too slow. But since the gameplay loop is so good  I don't mind it much. 

 

After RDR2 and Witcher 3 this may be my favorite open-world game of this gen. It is that good. 

 

For the sequel I hope to see improvements in every department, especially the pacing and the AI for combat/stealth.

Wait till you get to the last act, the story really picks up there.

It is. I never was down with any Zombie games after the first three original Resident Evil games. 

 

This topic had nothing interesting to offer. 

 

Yet I found myself having fun with the occasional Zombie Army 4, just a few rounds of survival. 

The last of us 1 was very good but too linear.

And Undead Nightmare, I had fun with this over the Christmas holidays but never touched it ever since. 

 

Now Days Gone surprisingly got me binge playing. 

It doesn't create anything new, you got the looting and crafting, fight zombies and humans. 

It got a little mad max vibe to it. 

The game definitely is fun. In its flawed ways. 

Character models of npcs look alike and zombies too, most of the dialogues of rescued people are pointless and dragged out but having the world to explore at your ease, pushing skills you wanna and fighting hordes with your own tactics, that's really fun. 

Content wise, story wise, it's got it moments, definitely not getting boring

I'm glad this didn't stay a PS4 exclusive and is  now available  for PC users, may consider buying it at the end of the month

I finished the game and I'm playing new game+ and I trying for  a alternative ending this next playthrough

 

I have two mods installed from nexusmods, a invisible radio mod and a black t-shirt for deacon, the debut menu mod left text on the screen, so I left it out of my game

Did they fix the time slowing down while riding the bike on PC? Because of these extremely stuttery bike rides the game is unplayable for me. And that with a high end rig.

 

I got this one and for me the game is unplayable in it's state.

On foot it's okay ish, but still a bit stuttery, i have to play it with just lousy 60 HZ and FPS instead of my usual 120 HZ and FPS, this helps a tiny bit with the stuttering, but really not very much. I only played the game for 4.7 hours so far. And not really in the mood to go through the stutter fest. Oh and of course i play it in 2160p all maxed out.

I'm playing Days Gone again and with mods from nexusmods installed,  I installed the mod that adds Daryl Dixon from the walking dead head to the main character, the head mod works with other mods that effect his clothes, ,  black radio,  and no shoulder bag, also using the mod that unlocks the devs Debug Cheat Menu in game, changed the bike forks to clean and a clean seat with mods

 

Owe the Daryl Dixon mod was the number one mod of the month in September at nexusmods site

 

I installed a clothes mod after the top screenshot were taken, clothing  mod I use with the Daryl head mod Deacon-Multicam Heavy Jacket and Pants at the beginning in the warmer area of the game you have a green hoody and black pants with the jean vest, the heavy jacket probably applys later on in game play

 

The original characters face was annoying and he looked whiny and wimpy at times

I started playing this game again, i only played it 4 hours before i stopped playing it, but now the stutters are gone for some reason, hmm maybe because of a patch or because i got faster ram now, whatever it was, im happy the game works fine now.

 

I upgraded from Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHZ to Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32 GB DDR4 3800 MHZ. Maybe that was all that was needed to get rid of the annoying stuttering, i honestly don't know, just glad it's finally playable to me.

I stopped playing because one of the pak mods from nexusmods missed up my ability to pull weapons when sneaking into ripper territory to get the antibiotics  for boozer

Just found a car that has a texture bug. i think it only loaded the distance texture for some weird reason, or something else happened no idea, it's the first time i saw something like this.

 

 

Edit: After restarting the game it looked normal again, seems like a random bug.

I'm going o play this eventually again, but without mods from nexusmods installed, the pak mods missed up my ability to pull weapons during one mission

 

it was during the Playing All Night mission I was unable to use weapons against the rippers

After getting the double ammo skill, the bullet penetration skill and some others the game is very easy, well but hordes are still deadly, i still need better weapons to kill them easily. I guess the Tommygun with max capacity or something is the best, but im not that far in the story yet, it's probably in the last camp that i haven't discovered yet, only found 3 so far. The tucker camp, copeland camp and iron mike camp.

I have it but cant download it because my ps4 is full. 

Need to buy external hard drive.

Games are so big nowadays.
