Note that the parking lot on the other side of that patch of grass has about twenty empty spaces, and there were also a bunch of empty spaces behind the restaurant, but no I've gotta take up five spaces close to the door because I'm important.

Plus, in case you haven't noticed, everybody else has to park their cars to match that position because Mr. Ihaveamercedesthereforeicanparkthewayiwant decided to park in a sh*tty position, bringing prejudice to the others who will want to park there too.

It's a sh*t job, but slashing tires for that is over the top really... Not to mention that you then contribute to the problem because they're either going to have to change the tyre out for a spare, for they're going to have to get towed, which only means that they're stuck in that bad position even longer. It's no different than clamping really... There's no logic to it other than parting someone with their money.

 

If that gets you so wound up that you'd be willing to slash their tyres, you should see the car park where I work. Lots of people take two spaces, though thankfully, the car park is much bigger than it needs to be.

I've recently started intentionally double parking towards the back of car parks where it's empty because there is always one stupid twat that decides to take the space next to you and carelessly ding your car with their doors, despite there being plenty of other empty spaces. Are people so inept in that they need a reference point to park? Or are they just trying to make sure their car doesn't get lonely? I don't get it, to be honest.

 

It's like that situation with urinals. Empty all around but someone will still walk the extra steps to pee next to you.

 

On double parking, if you're not inconveniencing anyone by double parking your car (i.e. far away from the point of interest & plenty of spaces) then people shouldn't bat an eye over it. Waiting for my car to turn up on these bad parking pages eventually though.

Police here would give that Audi a $500 ticket if they saw that. They consider it like parking in a handicap parking spot.

When you buy a brand new car in California, you don't have a license plate for a couple weeks, the DMV mails it to your house after the dealership submits the paperwork. You drive around with the registration taped to the front window.

 

My truck also had the dealership paper advertisement plate when I bought it, it says HB for Huntington Beach Ram (ignore my mom, lol):
