Bryce Montrose
Mortal Kombat the movie, I don't understand why it hated, the people kept saying MK the movie was not similar with the MK game series, but I think MK the movie was very awesome, the costumes, the fight choreography, etc. Evil empire

wise_man
Jurassic Park 3, the idea of transforming the franchise into a survival-esque film is just genius. I'd hope we could see a more serious and thrilling Dinosaur film like that in the future. On 5/16/2017 at 11:40 PM, DarkSavageDeathlyCloud said: star wars prequels. I watch those rather then the original one even....and they are aging pretty well. Same, I don't get the big backlash behind it. I watched Star Wars in chronological order (I-VI), instead of release order (IV-VI then I-III), and that makes me appreciate the prequels a lot. Lonely-Martin
I could add many, lol. I love horror flicks so could fill the page just on that genre alone. But I'll try restraining myself. I mean, I really enjoy all the Friday the 13th movies, all the Halloween's, A Nightmare On Elm Street series, just for a start. For sure There's standout titles, but these series' are just a blast to binge on. Seed of Chucky is another real guilty pleasure. Hatchet too. Oh how I could go on with horror flicks. I can even enjoy The Hills Have Eyes Part 2, dog dreams and all, lol. Nice to see House of 1000 Corpses added though, one of my favourite movies that. Anyone seen The Adventures of Pluto Nash with Eddie Murphy? Good family fun. Norbit was funny too. Hudson Hawk another that took a bashing, but It's a hoot and Brucie us really enjoying himself which translates well. Speaking of Bruce Willis, The Last Boyscout took it's share of criticism, but I think it's a great action movie of the 90's. Also in the 90's I remember both Speed 2 and Waterworld getting plenty of negative press, but both are really entertaining movies indeed. And how the heck did Kevin and Perry Go Large get 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. That movie is a classic! I remember Supergirl with Helen Slater not exactly getting good praise, loved that growing up and it's a must watch when on a Superman session. Pretty much any Van Damme flick up until more recently has to be added too. Street Fighter is often slammed, but I can't help but love it so. The 2 recent Kiclboxer sequels are decent fun too. Machete got some fair praise, the sequel Machete Kills didn't. I enjoyed it more than enough. Sin City 2 as well, really enjoyable movie though I do agree with the majority that it wasn't quite the magic of the first movie, still good though. The Grindhouse double feature in general is another bit of Rodriguez I enjoy, fun films to watch as standalone pictures but a blast as an old school drive in double feature too. And I know English crime dramas/gangster flicks often take a beating with critics and audiences alike, but Rise of the Footsoldier is one of my favourites of the genre. The 3 sequels aren't too bad either. Part 2 isn't as great but 3 and 4 were good fun movies and I'm actually looking forward to the 5th movie due this year. I always thought part III was the least liked? Regardless I think all three parts are brilliant in their own way and I'm glad there has never been a part 4. Anyway I can't remember if I ever mentioned these, but I love the A Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th remakes. Hell even throw in Rob Zombie's Halloweens. I even like the Child's Play remake. Horror remakes from my experience always seem to struggle the most when it comes to winning fans/critics over, but mostly I don't try to compare them to the original and see them for what they are and what unique aspects they bring. sabitsuki
Bad Boys 2. A lot of people think its terrible and the action overly gratuitous but I think that's what gives the film it's charm. Lonely-Martin and Evil empire
TwistOfLime21
Rob Zombie's Halloween. Normally I hate when they overexpose the killer / demon / ghost etc in horror movies but I liked that we got to see a bit more of Michael in this one compared to the original. They lowered the suspense and intrigue behind Michael and really upped the violence, which I didn't mind at all. I really liked it when he grabbed the 2x4 and started smashing the ceiling towards the end. Unfortunately it didn't continue into the sequel because the Rob Zombie's Halloween II was ass. happygrowls
Every single Star Wars movie, including the spin-offs. Not a single one i've hated, and given the internet's vile hatred towards the sequels, I feel i'm in a minority.
Badman_
I don't know if "everyone" hates it, but the Matrix sequels are quite decent IMO. Sure they're not as good as the original, but there are some very interesting concepts within them. Edited September 21, 2021 by Wolfman_

-l-
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. Nightmare 3 is considered the movie that saved the series, but Nightmare 2 honestly wasn't bad. I like this part of the scene where the guy tries to calm him down. Freddy then acts like he is listening and throw the idiot away. The quote when Freddy says: You're all my children now. Awesome. TwistOfLime21
The Saw series. I get that people are turned off by the violence, which is understandable. I love the storytelling though. Little details in one movie become a huge detail a couple of movies down the line. Its unfortunate that Jigsaw and Spiral were made because they just took a huge dump on the whole series.
