Algonquin Assassin
I can't think of a movie that I like, but other people generally don't however I can think of a few that didn't get very good reviews that I ended up liking such as Freddy Got Fingered, Pawn Shop Chronicles, Vacation etc. Lock n' Stock, Voodoo, Lonely-Martin and 1 other
TheGodDamnMaster
I love Back to the Future Part II even though it's the lowest rated film in the trilogy. I was also surprised to learn that there's a widespread hatred for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which I thought was great. Hancock Predators Fantastic Four(2005) Lethal Weapon 4 (Didn't know that was hated......It's got Jet LI....JET LI!!!) I like Wolverine Origins, except the Deadpool part. For some reason I like the lumberjack kinda grizzly lifestyle thing going on, and the Wolvie scream. Love it. RogerWho
Star Wars Episode III. Everybody clumps the 'prequel trilogy' together, but I actually enjoy Ep 3. It's not perfect, but overall I find it better than ROTJ (Ep. 6). They are both flawed in different ways, but at least Ep. 3 is a good finish to the trilogy (as well as a beginning of the next one), while ROTJ is just an idiotic tacked on rehash of the SW story to sell more toys. So for me, the 'Star Wars trilogy' is Episode III, Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back. (And The Clone Wars series.) Is there ANYBODY else on this planet who might agree with me on this? I'm seriously not sure. Also, Interstellar. It's not exactly unappreciated but I don't get it how so many people can completely trash it while at the same time praise Gravity. Interstellar is not perfect but for me it's probably the best movie in over a decade. X-Men First Class might be the second best. Probably the best superhero movie ever, dunno why people don't recognize it. The Town. I was honestly surprised how great that movie is, it might just be my favorite heist movie. But I can't say other people hate on it, just don't really see it as such I guess. Honker1944

The Dedito Gae
I was also surprised to learn that there's a widespread hatred for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which I thought was great.Movie per se is not awful, just that it contradicts past X-Men movies (Emma Frost and Dr. Xavier's age, Wolverine's operation, etc) and Deadpool got turned into a mute Baraka.Honestly, Sabertooth was a badass in that movie and worlds apart from the Tyler Mane version, i'm surprised no one ever mentions this. ...Interstellar...X-Men First Class...The Town...These movies are hardly hated at all. And f*ck people who don't like Predator 2, i can't think in a reason why that movie would be considered bad (well, except the predator suit and the moment he breaks a gun that's clearly a prop) Honestly, even with the ridiculous CGI animals, Shia Labeouf, "Aliens" and the nuke fridge scene, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is still a really good movie. The Area-51 and the jungle scenes were awesome and 60 year old Indy being Indy wasn't sad to look at like i first thought it would be. Maybe not so much hated, but Blade 3 and Lethal Weapon 4 are almost always considered the redheaded stepchild of their franchise. As for BvS, I tried to like it, but I really just could not get into the movie. The most enjoyable part was making fun of it. Predator 2 was awesome. And speaking of Jackie Chan, the Rush Hour trilogy wasnt bad either. Edited July 26, 2016 by iBUCKEYE UshaB
thatstupidbug
Well, GODZILLA 1998 (aka ZILLA or GINO) is first on my list I'm lucky, because i was never a godzilla fan, so i could watch the movie as a simple "monster invade town" film. It had some really bad cgi? Yes It had some bad physic? Of course It had some things so over the top that were plain stupid? Sure It had a clichè, boring love story and tons of plagiarism? Yeah, tons of it. But it still keep me entertained even today, it is a very light, mindless ride that managed to be funny. While godzilla 2014 is a better movie (technically), i still prefer the entertainment of the 98 version The Dedito Gae and Lonely-Martin

Algonquin Assassin
Hangover 2, i thought it was better than the first one. I started to feel that way with part III. I didn't really like it at first because it was a departure from the first two, but watching it a few more times made me appreciate it more especially that it tied up the loose ends. In saying that part II is awesome. Al reminds me of a fat Max Payne. feckyerlife, otachi and Payne Killer
Rhoda
Thank you for calling the opinion hotline. Here is automated copy and paste response regarding one of my favourite films that seems to get no love whatsoever. I had posted it elsewhere but I can't remember which topic for the life of me. I have no shame in admitting that The A-Team remake from a few years back is one of my favourite movies of all time. I whole heartedly recommend it. It's unabashedly daft, over the top and doesn't give a f*ck. It grabs you by the cheeks and snarls "yes, we're going to fly a tank and you're going to enjoy it, even if it's just a little bit". Watch The A-Team. This goes to everybody reading this, I don't care what you're going through. You could ask me for help recovering from a house fire and I'd tell you to pour a bourbon into whatever cup you have left, light a cigar and play the DVD. I still stand by this. thatstupidbug
Wait, are these movies hated by the majority? I know Lost World is not as popular as the first one but is still a good movie. Ehhhh, i don't really know... It is the only movie (with jp1) where i feel dinosaurs are actual being rather than cgi special effects, for the most part. And the t rexes have never been so "real", expecially in the various attacks. BUT, as a movie, TLW for me suffers from - bad pacing (i always feel burned out when the san diego attack starts) - bad editing (there are many examples: one is about some instances where dinosaur goes away/character appear mere moment later, but realistically the two should have met) - bad/unexplained moments (the infamous gymnastic girl, or the slaughtered boat crew... maybe they are clear in the script, but the movie does't tell anything) -dropped storylines/moments that lead nowhere (roland trembo and ajay, or the trex in the family garden) - bad moral (the good guys are actually doing more damage and causing more indirect deaths than the "bad guys", yet they are always portrayed as the heroes) - an "happy go luck" ending that totally disregard the dangerousness of those animals who just killed many innocent citizens. The movie end on a fable note, too sweet for the smart premise of the series The Dedito Gae

Robocop 2 is f*cking awesome, even better than the first one (IMO). Who the f*ck could hate it? I can never understand the hate for robocop 2. as much as I love the first one, the second one is a true blockbuster in every sense of the word, the ending alone when robocop is fighting cain and they go crashing through walls and falling off buildings is not only one of the best hero vs villain fight scene, but it also showcases some amazing practical effects and amazing stop motion, which unfortunately if made today would be all cgi. Wait, are these movies hated by the majority? I know Lost World is not as popular as the first one but is still a good movie. Ehhhh, i don't really know... The movie end on a fable note, too sweet for the smart premise of the series Regardless of all the issues, in my opinion The lost world is 100 times better than jurassic world. it has more thrills, more suspense, better characters, a better villain, a better plot, a better story and better special effects than jurassic world. World is just an expensive tv b movie, horrible cgi, lame plot and garbage characters. The Lost world is such an entertaining movie despite its flaws. Jurassic park is definitely the better movie, but The Lost world feels like a fun theme park attraction with nonstop action and cheesy dialogue. "BHC2/EA/LW4/T3 were sh*tty, unneccessary sequels!", "Cobra is a half-baked film with no plot!", "Halloween III isn't a true Halloween movie because Michael Myers isn't in it!", "The Quick and the Dead isn't a real western!", "The Punisher is a disgrace to the comics!"... darthYENIK
I think most of the movies being listed here have at least a cult following. But I think that would still count. Definitely Star Wars Episode I & III for me. I'm not completely repulsed by them. I remember Drag Me to Hell was not liked, but I'm a big Sam Raimi fan. Iron Man 2, I feel, has a lot more going for it than people give it credit for, as well as Thor: The Dark World. Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon, I thought was going to crack the world in half when I saw it opening night. I thought he was going to get some sort of accolade for his performance. I thought at least it would have a cult following. But I don't think most people know what movie I'm talking about if I told them about it. This is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Maybe because I don't generally care what other people think about movies. Unless it's really bad, or really good, I just don't go looking at reviews or asking opinions. So if I like a movie, I just think it's a good movie. Edit: I got another! Cutthroat Island. I'm a sucker for pirates.
