Alpha Demigod

Write a story for GTA6

Recommended Posts

Alpha Demigod

Not sure if this is already a thread. But if it is, delete this one.

THREAD

1) Write a story for the next GTA game.

2) Keep it short and simple. Don't write it like a novel.Write it like a bare-bones summary but still with enough detail to convey the cool ideas and character development. Include whatever cool facts might be necessary. Specific mission moments, soundtrack choices, locations, etc.

MAXIMUM 1 paragraph, 10 lines.

3) If you'd like, you can optionally have a "detailed" version in a spoiler tag under your paragraph where you write down your story with more fleshing-out and no character limits. People can read it if they like your "mini-version" enough.

and why not no story. just a life simulator with basic everyday life actions. yeah, i know sounds crazy but i'm pretty sure it could work. why? cause if you take IV and you remove the story, i'd could still play it. you'd need to add (f$$$$ i think i posted this 100 times)

- restaurants, where you could buy food and coffee

- ability to sit down on chairs

- bars where you could drink, and eventually get drunk

- nightclubs where you can dance and drink and get drunk

- dogs you could own, and do some activities with, like bicycle for example

- sunbathing at the beach

- taxi mission

- cop missions

- canoes

- setting up tent and campfire

- diving equipment (bottles, subs)

and so on, anything is possible

i don't know for other people, but personnally when i start a game in IV, i don't give a f+++ about action. i know some people love action, but personnally this is not what i enjoy the most in that game. what i love is to do nothing. drive, walk, go boating.. in V i love doing some bicycle with Chop this is a cool feature in V. sometimes we have the feeling that if R* doesn't include some missions in its game, there's something going wrong. i do not share that way of thinking. it was my 2c

Set in Chicago in the present day, this version would ideally contain one protagonist and deal with the loss of financial comfort. After filing bankruptcy multiple times, the protagonist, a previous banker, would lead into a life of crime after witnessing another major financial collapse. This collapse would be set after the 2008 recession, and as a result many businesses and individuals were hit and crippling with debt.

This version of GTAN would showcase the eventual drowning into the criminal underworld as this protagonist would have no previous criminal affiliations. As the protagonist digs deeper and deeper, their world shrinks and their outlook on life is to simply gain, rather than sustain (being frugal).

Starting out robbing liquor stores, the protagonist eventually moves on to meet numerous individuals that exist in the criminal underworld. The protagonist grows a reputation, but is considered dangerous by many of their affiliations, and is eventually blacklisted on account of being "too unpredictable" by many figures underground.

This causes the protagonist to attract attention to numerous government agencies, including private security organizations. As the protagonist grows increasingly dangerous and expands their reach, federal organizations get involved.

The protagonist eventually decides they're bigger than everyone else, and plans a heist on a major trading facility in the financial district of this city. However, the heist does not go to plan, as federal organizations from all sides attempt to stop the increasing amount of crime in the Chicago area. The heist is foiled, but the protagonist manages to escape.

After the failed heist, the protagonist's bank account is frozen, and all assets are unrecoverable. The IRS has foreclosed the protagonist's property, and cellular service has been disabled. This leads the protagonist into a state of despair, and ultimately unrecoverable insanity. During a blind rage, the protagonist steals a car and attempts to rob a nearby liquor store for quick cash, as their bank account is frozen - the liquor store job is successful, but the protagonist is arrested by a nearby police cruiser for suspicious activity. Tazered, the protagonist is arrested and is questioned at the nearby police department.

After realizing this is the person of interest listed by the government, the protagonist is transferred from the precinct to a more secure government facility. Unable to comply with the interrogation procedure, the protagonist is officially arrested and stands trial for numerous criminal activity.

Found guilty, the protagonist is issued the death penalty - and is executed, thus ending the sudden spike in crime in the city.

Blackness then redness.. A synth note fades in... Rockstar Games Presents... Redness turns to purpleness... A Rockstar North Game... Camera pulls back from the purple to show a rotting corpse and a dog sniffing around. Continuing the top pov, the camera travels from room to room as the credits pass by... We see the top of the protag move through the dilapidated house... He's armed... Finally he steps outside and the camera finally comes down and reveals the protags facial... A white Everyman... He sighs... He lifts up his watch-phone and calls Dick... "Richard it's me, he's dead and the cars not here. I'm sorry." ... " Sorry? Sorry! Jerry "The Mouse" Mansini is the hardest to catch criminal in the city. Wanted on counts of murder, evasion, street racing, and more, he's almost caught by his rival, police chief Thomas "The Cat" Jenkins, on more than one occasion. But Jerry often finds a brutal yet hilarious way of escaping. Sometimes he gets help from a teenager named Derek "Nibbles" Larson, a woman named Karen "The Canary" Hartlet, and Donny "The Bulldog" Brussels, a man who's always had a problem with authorities and who is so badass that even the chief is scared of him. Sometimes, Donny is fighting both Jerry and Thomas at once, whereas other times he'll team up with Jerry, most of the time as a bodyguard. "All you gotta do is call".

Together, these characters engage in brutal yet wacky crime based warfare across the city. Sometimes they're after a package of drugs, other times it's guns, and sometimes it's even stolen car parts and/or electronics. Sometimes, Thomas even comes to odds with one of his police chief rivals, Highway Patrol Captain Butch "The Black Cat" Dawson, a rather ruthless fellow who does often attempt to capture Jerry before Thomas does, sometimes going as far as raiding Tom's police convoys when Jerry does get captured, often leading to his escape. At other times, Thomas will outright hire Butch, but they'll often end up hurting each other anyways in the mission to follow.

Yes, I based this on tom and jerry the cartoon. I've been thinking about this for a while, although I did have to come up with several names on the spot during this post. Why the hell not, right?

Some of these are not too shabby and have potential to be good stories. I'll be posting mine here in a day or two as well, just need to finish snipping it up a bit and making it shorter.

worst idea ever

Except for this one. I understand everyone has opinion, that is your right. But it is also my right to tell you your opinion is pure and utter sh*t and I think you know nothing about game design or brand identity.

Premise (spoiler alert):

THE STORY BEGINS in the heart of the night. You successfully break out of jail and spend 2/3 of the game under the radar, using a false name and a completely new identity. You meet a wide variety of characters, as many GTA games go, and for awhile life in the free world is good. But eventually you find your way back into prison and all that freedom is lost. Now you must break out and seek revenge by the person who screwed you over. Cumming soon ;)

Two brothers return to their city of birth to take down the criminal empire who's boss was responsible for the murder or their parents. In doing so they create a rival organisation to combat their enemy.

A story about loyalty between two brothers, revenge and greed fueled by power.

Their nemesis would be as smart as them, more ruthless and ready to do anything to win.

Rocco Bellarosa and Paulie Gaglione are two childhood friends from Alderney. The parents of Paulie are capos in the NJ mafia syndicate, while Rocco's father is a "muscle" from the same mafia. They grow up together and are streetwise in the mafia environment.

In adult life Paulie is sent to Las Venturas to run a small time casino, and his bosses hope to get him even higher. The plan is to have Paulie run the biggest casino in town.

Rocco is sent to help him out after a few years.

Rocco starts off on good terms with Paulie, but he soon tries to control the entire Las Venturas underground by himself. Paulie wants to keep his business on the up and up, so he can keep delivering the money skim to his bosses in Alderney. The two start growing apart.

Eventually Paulie has to flee to San Fierro because Rocco made an attempt on his life. With Rocco taking over the entire LV underground and running the big casino, Paulie starts from scratch in San Fierro. He's moving to do heists in the city, to build up capital and a gang to go after Rocco. All the while the bosses in Alderney knows nothing about the turmoil on the west coast.

Things come to a head, and now you must choose to either kill Rocco and resume your life in LV (as Paulie), or defeat Paulie and his new gang when he comes to try to take back the casino in aLv (as Rocco).

Boston 1987:

Danny Rourke (Player/You) and his father Michael Rourke were close. But mostly because Michael didn't want Danny getting mixed up with the wrong crowd. Danny as a kid saved the life of one of the older crime-bosses in the area Johnny "The Butcher" Murphy. You applied CPR to him when he collapsed outside the pool hall he used to run, a front that doubled as a hideout for one of most feared mobs in Boston, The Henrystown Mob.

In a time when the Irish Mobs are at war with each other and the Italian Mafia, it was hard for anyone to trust anyone. Seeing the potential in you (much to your father's dismay) Johnny The Butcher took you under his wing. He treated you like the son "he never had." The Butcher's own son was disabled and he resented and blamed his mother for this. Michael Rourke is killed and it the story surrounding his death is a bit fishy. Nonetheless, The Butcher uses this excuse to brainwash Danny and train him to become a vengeful killer on rival mobs who Johhny blamed for Michael's death. But did these rival mobs kill Danny's father or is Johnny 'The Butcher' Murphy hiding something?

This is Grand Theft Auto we're talking about, not a virtual pet game.

Also, GTA is better off without a sitting down feature. If the player needs a break from the game, they can simply pause.

put missions if you want, but don't forget what i said before. the sicilian judge Falcone death could make a good basis for a story. the guy is a bit like Niko, he's more or less forced to enter the criminality to keep the head outside the water. but after the death of a high value judge executed by the mafia, he decides to work for the police as a mole to take down the organised local criminality down

Id like something amongst the lines of this. Something like when you start the game up, your only objectives are - Bank 500,000, Control Half of X, etc. There could be scripted characters, of course depending on what you wanna do, such as being a thug/drugdealer/gangbanger, or being a car theif/chop shop business. You could choose both, but more people will be out for you. If you are killed by an in-game rival, that will make you start over. If you die by anyone other than your rival such as their goons, random ped, falling etc you will re spawn like any GTA. Throughout, you make associates, and you chose whether or not to trust. An example - A/X - Give Carlos baggie of "drug x" and demand he gives you 80% of what he makes. If you do, there's a chance he can run off and not return, or will cheap out on you, giving you only 13%. Being in a gang - low life thug. In a gang, you shall receive protection, and an addition safe house. You get to ride with fellow members, as a passengers, if one of the leaders invites you to do a drive-by on a rival gang. Accepting increases respect, and declining reduces it. Killing rival members also increases respect, and being killed by one reduces it. If your respect gets too low, you will get kicked out. When you reach certain levels, you will increase in rank. When you max out, you can become leader, and thus you can control your gang, and recruit new members. This is also where trust comes into play. And while doing all these thug like activities, you may acquire a rap sheet. Example- You stab a rival gang member and run away to a safe house, if there was a witness, your description will be reported to the police. If you are seen by the police, and match the description, you will gain a star. However, if you changed your description ( New shoes, haircut and shirt ) It will be harder to recognize you. Depending on the crime, you will be searched for, for a certain amount of time. Like the stabbing, you will be searched for 2-3 in game days

persistency police wanted is an interesting idea. if you mess around beyond a certain point the chicken won't let you down until you're in jail. you could loose your stars, but if you come too close from a police officer they run after you. could be fun. yeah what i was talking about in my precedent post is just a 100% control of your character. i'm sick and tired of suffering all that criminality s###. i hate criminality irl, why would i become one virtually

Oh really?

Roman: Caasin, it is your caasin. You should really join me and Brucie down here in Vice City! We're making it big!

Niko: Roman, are you crazy? Vice City is a bowling-free zone.

Roman: Don't feel so down in the dumps! We already rented a beach house for you in case you change your mind!

Niko: I think you're drunk off of Barbara's big teetees. I'll catch you later, caasin.

Game starts (credits scene) on an airport. Announcements being heard over the PA as we see, from the POV of the player, someone walking through the airport. As we get to the outside, a car is waiting for you. Man opens the door and you climb in. Camera then goes to some cinematic shots of the city (appears to be Los Santos) as you also hear a man sitting next to you. "Are you sure you want to go through with this"...yadda yadda yada. But you remain silent. Finally, you see the car coming into a parking lot and pulling up, Shot reveals it to be the Richards Majestic offices. Your character climbs out and it's revealed to be an older gentlemen in a suit. Next to you is some young kid in glasses, also wearing a suit, carrying a briefcase with him. He continues to talk to you as you continue to ignore him and walk into the office.

Next shot we see is of Michael DeSanta greeting you. He reveals that he is now the President of Richards Majestic after the death of Soloman Richards, who left it to you in his will. The man sits down and it's also revealed that this gentlemen, Mr. Carlucci, and Michael have a history together and worked with one another previously. Carlucci reveals that he's dying of cancer and wants to have his life made into a movie. And since Michael was once "in the life", he and his studio are the perfect ones to tell it and do it justice. The younger man with Mr. Carlucci is his attorney and keeps trying to butt in with demands but Carlucci tells him to shut up. Carlucci then tells his story:

Next scene is the 1970s in Liberty City. Carlucci was just a teenager then and was a street hustler. Selling bootleg cigarettes and doing some petty crimes (theft, robbery, stealing cars). Couple missions happen here with Carlucci and his partner stealing a cigarette truck and taking it to their hideout...and then a couple car theft missions. In the 4th mission, however, the cops are going to bust you for selling the bootlegged cigarettes and a foot race happens (maybe a few quick time mini games in dodging obstacles and leaping fences). You reach a point where you outrun the cops and then leap into an open window. It's revealed you've actually leaped into Studio 69...a parody of the famous nightclub in New York, Studio 54 and right into the women's dressing room. Of course you're discovered by a few of the goons and taken to the boss of the Club. The boss takes a liking to you and hires you on. So in a few missions you'll do a few "lookout" missions as well as a few shakedown missions for people who owe money. Also included will be more theft missions as well as delivery/retrieval missions for booze, drugs, women, etc (the better you do, the more options open up thanks to the "respect" feature that opens up more missions and unlocks hirer payouts and further features). Final mission will be that the club is getting ready to be attacked by a rival mob and it's up to you to hold off the invaders for as long as possible until backup arrives. During this mission, the boss gets shot and severely wounded. The backup arrives and then you have to take the boss to the mob doc. When you arrive, he'll tell you to get away and he'll make a few calls to get you some work. During a cut scene after this (with some belief that some time has passed since the shootout), he'll inform you that he has a friend who lives in Vice City and to pay him a visit.

Next chapter is....Vice City in the 1980s. This is around 1985. The family you're working for as ties with your Liberty City family but is more into the porn, gambling, and drugs side of the business. You're given the choice of what you want to be in charge of, but for the sake of this, let's say you chose to head up the porn side. So several missions will include recruiting girls for the business...running the stripclub/brothel, blackmailing politicians and cops who try to shut you down, and protecting the girls in case the johns get a little too rough among other things as well. As you progress, you'll also open up more side businesses (with the mob getting a certain percentage of the cut) as well as gain street cred (which helps in shooting, driving, etc...and can also lead to police being more lenient with you). Also as you do well with one side of the business, the family will open up more opportunities to you (allowing you to get a taste of the drugs and gambling sides as well). Last mission here will reveal that the Vice squad (Miami Vice) is getting ready for a huge crackdown on all your businesses (you get a heads up thanks to a connection you have in the department). So that mission will involve burning down/removing all incriminating evidence from your businesses and moving all assets out before the timer expires. After completing this, you take your assets that you've accumulated and you cash out and go to Las Venturas where you're told you'll be running a casino for your family (at this point you're pretty high up and start your own family but are connected to the original)

Finally we are in the last full chapter, Las Venturas in the mid 90s. Here, you'll be running a hotel/casino/nightclub so you'll be in charge of acquiring entertainment as well as other aspects of that. Several side missions here which will also include 3 or 4 huge heist missions to cripple rival casinos. Here, the final mission will be an FBI raid on the casino. Regardless of what you do here, you'll be caught at the end and sent to prison for tax evasion and a few other crimes (bribery, theft, etc).

Final scene is back at the studio where Michael is eager to start filming and agrees to make the movie. The attorney then interjects, decrying that Mr. Carlucci is not being paid enough and he demands more. Next scene shows the attorney "falling" out of the top floor office and hitting the concrete below. Carlucci says he trust Michael fully and walks off.

Just a rough outline I have...feel free to make any changes or add whatever you think would work. I welcome your thoughts/critiques/etc.

In Chicago, the Mafia in association with the local government has asserted dominance over the city. Simon Fulcrest is a young anarchist in the city who has recently uncovered this connection and strictly opposes it. He recruits several of his anarchist buddies to help him and they successfully overthrow the Mafia, causing severe unrest in the city. Several missions, such as an assault on the Supreme Court holding the execution of the former mayor and a firebombing of the Mafia's dockyard destabilises the Mafia and breaks it up into little groups. Simon's trust is challenged when his friends betray him and each join their own gangs and try to take over the ruins over the criminal underworld. Simon must destroy each of the gangs and free his city from the curse of organised crime, while attempting to keep his own greed under control. The game ends after the death of Simon's last friend, where he has a choice to either kill the rest of the Mafia or crown himself the new kingpin of crime in Chicago.

I'll put a much bigger story in a spoiler tag later on when I'm finished writing an entire f*cking essay on it.
