Small warehouse... Not worth it?

Well I took the plunge and bought a small warehouse and spent 2hrs filling it up, and delivering the goods, buying 2 crates at a time.

Sold the warehouse for $240k

Spent $64k, profit of $176k.

So $88k an hour....

Not great.

They arent meant to be a fast way to make money. They are a long term investment.

I personaly use the small warehouse (white widow) only for the special items. I store them on the floor, that means every 2 specials I go and get 2 crates for the upper level there. tbh - the small one makes no sense for me but for collecting the special items if you want to collect them. You're good at 2 medium or at least a mix of a medium and large.

More crates per sale/purchase = more money per time. So, the small warehouse won't give the best yield per time, nor will buying 2 crates per pickup usually pay the best per time (although it does pay more money per crate, interestingly).

But, also more to lose when buying/selling if it all goes south of course, and if you are doing it solo 3 crates per trip can be rather risky for some pickups.

IMO it works good as a start to get you introduced to the mechanics and stuff.

In truth, I'm making the most money filling up one large warehouse a week though.

Edit: Also unlocks the CEO vehicles unless buying a large just unlocks the small and medium vehicles too.

Crate sales aren't the best option for making money no matter what strategy you use. I played solo and sold after 5 crates every time. It was more for the fun of it than anything. Don't get me wrong though, it can be pretty profitable if you are efficient.

This. It takes hours to fill up medium and large warehouses, especially solo. I tried doing both but ended up giving up because how boring it is. Currently figuring out should I sell at 500k or just fill them up. Edited by Nick1020

This too, I can not imagine how boring it would be filling up the large warehouse , I think I am going to stick to my small warehouse, and maybe add one more .

But like its been already said, CEO work is not the most effiecnt way to earn money per hour on its own, but for me, sometimes, I just dont care about the time/vs money ratio , and CEO work is a somewhat a nice change of pace after almost three years of doing missions.

Some people swear they can make $200-300k an hour. Please tell me how!

The way I use the small warehouse is I just use it in the time it takes headhunter/sightseer to cool down. Basically I just do headhunter, crate sale, sightseer, headhunter, crate sale, sightseer, headhunter... and there's no cooldowns when doing it in that order UNLESS the crate sale takes longer than 10 minutes, then skip sightseer and do headhunter then crate sale.

I've been thinking of getting a medium or large warehouse, but it's already a pain in the ass to deliver crates with a filled small warehouse, as it requires two vehicles, since I do it all alone. In addition, I've seen the horror stories of selling larger warehouses which have some ridiculous AI that OHK you with perfect aim out of a titan, meaning you just lost your millions.

What I want to know is if a large or medium warehouse would be worth it if you're doing it alone, no one helping, as the risk with the OP AI seems absurd at those levels (as if being locked to public lobbies wasn't bad enough, R* is f*cking retarded).

A medium warehouse gives you 346k per hour, a large one gives you 360k per hour, bite the bullet and choose which one closest to your office.

I mean from these warehouses.

Solo?

How many crates at a time?

I bought a small warehouse just for special items, but only manage to put 1 or 2 in there because 99% of the calls I get for them are fake.

You can solo large and medium warehouses like small warehouses, they all have the same difficulty when it comes to buy and sell missions, a medium warehouse has 42 crate space and the large can hold 111.

If you're buying 3 crates everytime, it'll take 14 runs for medium and give you around $738K in revenue, as for large it'll take 37 runs for $2.2M in revenue. They all have the same sell missions, I suggest quitting the session if you get a Titan or Cuban mission and do a yet another crate buying mission for the chance of getting a Brickade delivery mission.

The costs for crate runs on medium is 252K, so total profit is 486K. The cost for crate runs in large is 666K, so the total profit is 1,554,000. I suggest getting the large one because it gives the same amount of profit as the sale of three medium ones.

I can fill up my small warehouse in an hour or less with vip work sprinkled in. Why are you taking so long? Are you taking breaks?

It only holds 16 crates which is 5 pickups if you do 3 a go with 1 last pickup before selling.

I keep a small one filled for npc gang raids since they're based on percentage full not total # of crates.

Large and medium are must have if you're trying to make money fast.

You need two warehouses, 2 large. 300k an hour is easy.

If you use buzzard it improves your efficiency exponentially. On average I can do 14 crates (2 crates, 7 runs) solo an hour which gives you a net profit of (15k-4k)*14 ~ 150k. In my case I fill crates with large warehouses so the profit is 16k*14 ~ 220k/hr. With good associates the profit can be more than 300k/hr

I do 7, often 8. 3 crate runs per hour solo. Thats 294 or 336k per hour, just don't waste time, fly well, land fast, just generally save seconds wherever you can.

I'm doing these solo, and using a buzzard. When the crates get split up it takes longer as i can only carry one at a time.

When I done it yesterday, out of 8 runs, 5 of them split up, so increasing the time it took.

Also, these calculations you make, are they actually including the time it takes to deliver the stuff as well?

I timed mine from first mission to getting the payment after the final delivery. 2hrs.

In my opinion the small warehouse is too... small to make a profit. I prefer the medium warehouse. It only takes 14 deliveries to fill it up entirely and it sells for 735k. I usually sell in a crowded lobby to earn an additional 100k. That's close to a million, which isn't too bad in my opinion.

The small warehouse is the perfect way to practice the work though, especially for players who only play solo in freemode. Like moi. :D

No point in forking out more cash than is neccessary if you're not going to keep going with it.

It takes about two miutes per crate in a Hydra when they split, sometimes youre looking at 9 even 10 minutes for those missions but trucks can sometimes be done in 3 minutes. I have no idea why it's taking you so long, you should be able to fill a small warehouse in 50 minutes no problem which is a LOT different than 2 hours, not that I'd be wasting time with a small.

I have a large and a small.

My objective is to fill the large and leave it, and then use the small for to keep active, acquiring & selling stuff.

No reason why, other than boredom, really. :)

I found getting the largest is the best as you get more bang for your buck for each crate you purchase. The more you sell the bigger the bonus of money given per crate, so I house the maximum of crates possible of 111 before doing a sale, I do not know the full logistics behind it but I am sure you get a few hundred thousand extra as a bonus for such a large sale. A full sale of which of a large warehouse grants you $2,220,000.
