Stunt Races - Track Thoughts

All the bike ones annoy me somewhat as lots of the checkpoints are placed so poorly that they're easy to overshoot unless you slow down as you head into the jump, which seems counterintuitive.

And to be honest many of the bike ones would be amongst my favorites if it weren't for the sh*tty checkpoint placement.

I just did one, can't remember the name now, I tried a flip and overshot it and ended up leaving the track altogether.

I haven't been through a single motorcycle one without being pinged off of a flat track like a bouncy ball or stopped dead in my tracks. Happens occasionally on car tracks, but every. Single. f*cking bike race has f*cked me for seemingly no reason. Pinging off the starts of ramps, gaining insane air at a cost of most of my forward momentum. Landing and pinging off the track at a perfect mirror angle of my landing only to sail right off the edge. Dead stops after ramps. And f*ck those angled wall runs and tubes. Both have just pinged me off them on bikes.

That said, I think Canyon Crossing is my favorite track. Or City Air. Idk, the only car one I don't like is Splits.

As Hot Wheels as these tracks are, Im surprised they didnt make some magnet gimmick surface that had us driving inverted, looking up at the ground lol.

Duel is by far the best. With catchup off it's easily the most skill-based track out of all R*-created tracks, since overtakes can occur without two cars being near each other and thus have considerably lower chance of ramming one another. The fact that it hosts a race of the most difficult car class of the game is also a major plus.

Downtown Loop and Plummet are good when played with friends.

I love Maze Bank Ascent and Vinewood Downhill... I don't have any that I really dislike, but I guess my least fav is East Coast, but maybe it will grow on me :)

I totally love that you can drive motorcycles without helmet now.

Some of the checkpoint placements are sh*tty. I quite often see people fly right over the checkpoints. I've done it myself. Plus some of them break the line of sight rule.

The tracks themselves are fantastic, though. Love them.

Downtown Loop is my favorite. Honorable mentions to Plummet and Duel. Rally is also a fun challenge. Somehow won with my Massacro despite the offroad parts. I don't trust motorcycle stunt races anymore, though. Every single time I race in one, I overshoot a checkpoint.

went racing last night for the first time in months, I enjoyed all the stunt tracks

My least favourite is easily Threading the Needle. Track design is just so poor in several areas on that track. Very few opportunities to overtake and multiple jumps are designed to f*ck you if you go fast or even don't hit it at the exact right angle. Very little leeway.

I really love several tracks. Duel, Nightlife, Rally, Downtown Loop, Plummet and East Coast spring to mind.

My input would be that I just love all of them for different reasons.

What I don't care for is that I wish they'd placed walls along many of the higher tracks.

When you fall off, that time it takes to hit the ground is a big lead-stealer, even with Catchup on.

And forget it if your car blows up. You're out.

Otherwise, this has brought me back into the GTA racing fray after leaving it behind long ago.

Some tracks really have some glitched edges sticking out, stopping you or make you crash on even surface.

So far, i liked Junctions a lot, same with Plummet or Downtown Loops.

In Junctions, you can actually use the stunts wisely to quickly insert in a turn and gain speed out of it, right before the finish line.

Nevermind that the tracks is always used by Briosos, which are, well, only have superior stats, but ultimately not so stable like other compact cars. Briosos are only for experienced drivers on that track. Everyone else are just Blista fodder.

I actually love all Supercar Tracks , the rally tracks are good , too ...

on the other hand, not a big fan of Motorcycles Tracks & the "Brioso Track" (what was it called again ? :) ) , surely becase I´m not a bin fan of the vehicles involved in those races , but i do play them of course....

all in al awesome DLC , but these kiddies ruin it everytime ....

They all seem like rushed product that have a lackluster feel...

I guess if I was twelve they would be super cool.

East Coast and Plummet.

East Coast more because if you're in the lead, the waves of the Pacific after the ramp jump can literally go onto the track and slow down racers behind you, giving you a longer lead :p

I must say I enjoy most of the tracks and I'm surprised that I do. Trenches is the least favorite though since it's just meh..

I haven't really been a fan of motorbike races but Nightlife and Threading the Needle are so intensive and adrenaline pumping!

I also like tracks with chicanes (if you can call it that?) for example on Canyon Crossing. It's not that technical but some people still can't handle it. Can't wait for the creator upgrades and more technical maps which requires more braking and more thoughtful racing style.

East Coast more because if you're in the lead, the waves of the Pacific after the ramp jump can literally go onto the track and slow down racers behind you, giving you a longer lead :p

Or they can screw up your lead by submerging your vehicle on the track thinking you'll be able to continue after the wave has passed. Suddenly you start wondering if you'll be able to continue or if it's going to be destroyed...

And yeah it got destroyed... so after waiting an eternity in a watery limbo and seeing people overtake me in the air, I had to respawn on top of that! RAGE!!! That's the worst case scenario though. Even after that horrible event East Coast is probably still my favourite, it has a classic arcade feeling to it which really fits the racing in GTA.

Any track that isn't that Motorcycle one in Sandy shores is a favorite trakc of mine.

Plummet is the best because you can easily break top speed records in that track. My previous record top speed was like 140 mph with a zentorno but then I got 205 mph in a sultan rs by playing plummet

Yup.

Highest speed in a road vehicle
226.02 mph

Road vehicle driven fastest
RE-7B

Before this I had Hakuchou at something in like 160-170ish I think

My favorite is East coast joined with Rally, both are very fun.

I'm not too keen on the bike tracks and a flip will launch you past checkpoints and most of those races dont really include any stunts.

The only problem I have in the races is how when I've selected manual camera control the camera still flips as soon as I'm sideways meaning that I almost always miss the sideways left turn on Downtown loop (I think - its the one with the wallrides up buildings) and I can't seem to fix this.

My favorites are Plummet, Trench 1 and Downtown Loop.

And I definitely recommend setting all of the races in the city to occur at night so you can see exactly where you are and how high you are. Looks awesome.

As soon as I fall off I hold down the respawn button while I'm in the air (Y on Xbox, Triangle on PS4 not sure for PC). Not a perfect solution but it beats waiting until you land.

Trench 1 - I was doing well, up the ramp, goes for a long jump, missed the checkpoint - they need to be further away.

Trench 1 is one of my fav's, wish they could have up to 30 racers though.

I love Downtown Loop for the fast frenetic pace. Its just pure excitement. Duel is fun for the challenge of controlling muscle cars and watching people skid right off the track. Threading the Needle is my favorite bike one. Its a little more technical than the others.

Racing Alley and Splits would have to be my least favorites. I enjoy both tracks, but the bowling pins and soccer balls can be a major pain, especially in a crowded race where people are knocking them all over the place.

I'm not a racer and never really cared for most tracks even user created. I don't really like my own created races but I'm enjoying just driving these tracks.

They take way more skill and even one mistake can make you last or first no matter the settings. Maybe it's just because they are new... By next month my view may change.

My favourites are East Coast and City Air, I also like Trench because it has a bit of a post apocalyptic/futuristic feel for me.

Least favourite is Rally but only because I'm crap at it, I do think it's very well designed. Just need more practice on it.

I'm with you on all points!

I love my Entity on these tracks, its great fun and I've never seen any original cars racing - makes me want to buy another Cheetah or Infernus for nostalgia!

I've been using my Hakachou for the bike races, it's pretty effective but I'm aching to try my BF400 out now!

Has anyone used the Akuma for a stunt race? You'd imagine it would be awesome but I failed hard using it.

My input would be that I just love all of them for different reasons.

Couldn't agree more mate, in fact it's bought me back into a game I'd previously considered i was done with.

I'd never have thought it, but it's the best update since heists.

They all seem like rushed product that have a lackluster feel...

I guess if I was twelve they would be super cool.

I'm 12 + 33, and I love it despite the knob jockeys ramming me off all the time!
