How come R* stop adding content to SP? I know you can do wacky tacky modding sh*t, but how come they haven't update those items, vehicles, and weapons (including benny's) in this?

Can't make money off of shark cards online if everyone is playing SP.

R* are past fair DLC practices, gone are the days of super high quality, polished DLC containing 8+ hours of gameplay. This is the era of charging people $100 for a virtual BOAT.

R* pretty much abandoned SP at this point and it's been abandoned. Part of a few reasons i stopped playing GtaO long ago. I'm not wasting my hard money on sh*t shark cards just so they can come up with some other online crap update and not do anything with SP and just leave there like if SP wasn't even a thing. Either that or they think SP is a thing of the past and move on with with making GtaO a game of itself taking over the series. Lmao suck it R* your sh*t may be taking over but a least i can still play your classic gta SP games like they once were

To be honest, and in fairness to Rockstar, Shark Cards are for stupid people who are too self-indulgent to have even the slightest bit of of patience and any willingness to delay gratification. Everyone I know who plays GTA Online gets literally everything they want by, ya know, playing the game and I don't know a single person in real life or on Steam (or PSN or LIVE) who has purchased a Shark Card.

I know GTAO has the reputation to be a grind, but even though I have yet to go online, from what hear from people who love playing online, it really is only a grind if you don't actually enjoy playing the game for its own sake, for fun and enjoyment. The way one friend describes it is that he doesn't sit there staring and obsessing over his "GTA money" after every, single little task, race, or a team heist. He plays the game for the sheer joy of playing it and when he has the money to buy stuff, he does.

To reiterate: Shark Cards are not for gamers who actually enjoy playing the game. They are for people who, for whatever reason, have become bored of it but still want all that high end, shiny new stuff. They are for victims.

Dangerous and sad

Too bad we don't have a thread to discuss the story DLC.

The slimiest thing about all the online "it's free you entitled brat" DLC, is how lazy and halfassed the gameplay content they add in is. The VIP and CEO missions are literally contact missions copy pasted into free mode with a griefing aspect slapped on. Other gameplay aspects are still broken or have gotten more broken since day 1, gun balance, vehicle class balance, the jet, etc. have all gotten worse or haven't been touched. Underplayed game modes that are underplayed for good reasons are still underplayed because R* refuse to fix them, and it took us over 2 years to get the ability to turn off player-made jobs.

They make all this money and instead of taking it and using it to make the game genuinely better and more fun, they use it to make more expensive superfluous garbage.

Too bad we don't have a thread to discuss the story DLC.

What Story DLC?

The sh*t they mentioned two f*cking years ago in a couple Newswire posts, never to be mentioned again?

The sh*t Franklin's actor mentioned a couple times that never became anything?

The lost scraps of references funmw2 found in the files that may or may not have been about Story DLC that may or may not have been cancelled?

Or the Story DLC Ned Luke said he knew nothing about?

There's f*cking nothing to go on. Literally everything is old news, there is no substantial evidence whatsoever that Story DLC is ever going to come out. Accept it.

I don't care about sp dlc anymore, but at least can R* patch the "slidey car" cheat? Before it allowed you to push every car you drive to the REAL maximum speed. Now your car can't even spin the wheels.

It's just one cheat, but i used it all the time in Director mode trying to avoid tratfick and doing "grand prix" in the roads of san andreas, OutRun style

You are mistaken unfortunately. You have it the other way around actually. We do have patience. We DID. But all that sh*t had gone down the drain when modding/exploiting/glitching/cheaters started unbalancing the GTA economy, started buying the new vehicles, effectively instilling jealousy in us because they ALWAYS had access to it first and they never worked and had the patience (the exploiters, not US) to obtain the money legitimately. Not only that, those f*ckers also were able to obtain the pegasus vehicles and new weapons which they would use to grief and troll us to the end of days. So, essentially this is a "Fight fire with fire" situation. There are ppl who casually buy shark cards because they can with their hard earned money. We enjoy the game. But sometimes, back in past, we wanted to use some extra real cash to splurge a little bit. Nowadays, if we buy it, its because we are trying to compete with the exploiters. Case closed. If there weren't any casual shark card buyers, we most likely wouldn't have so many updates, left alone free.
