@ OP: V isn't SA based. It's set in "Southern San Andreas".

If you want this poll to be accurate, you should replace SA with "San Andreas before unlocking SF".

WOW are you serious?! You're a genius why didn't I get to know you sooner? Man, you blew my mind.

 

 

San Andreas in GTA SA, was the whole state, but San Andreas in V is the southern part only (LS + Blaine County). So we can't compare these. Should I explain more?

OT: Tough one.

Best VC Map: Haven't played VC and only have a few gotchas with VCS... so I have to choose the latter.

Best SA Map: GTA SA obviously. SA is the only game featured all of the State, V only showcased the southern part of San Andreas. If V was all of the state, then ya, I may choose it over SA (it'll be like the others) but since it doesn't work that way I'll go with SA. V's map itself is great too.

Best IV Map: Once again, IV obviously. Haven't played III, LBS nearly made me break my PS2. EFLC is as bullsh*t as the DLCs. So IV. Obviously. Doesn't mean that I "love" the weather lighting. Whoever made that should be fired.

I don't wanna take it too far, but the GTA1 renditions of San Andreas, Vice City and Liberty City aren't mentioned here, too.

GTA1's Vice City map was more accurate to its real-life counterpart, Miami. You should also consider the fact that San Andreas in GTA1 was actually a parody of San Francisco, not California + Nevada. They decided to expand it in San Andreas.

I suggest you to remove the best SA-Based game question, and add these two:
Best San Francisco Depiction
San Andreas, GTA1

San Fierro, GTA SA

Best Los Angeles Depiction

Los Santos, GTA SA

Los Santos, GTA V

 

Also, add GTA Advance, GTA1 and GTA Chinatown Wars to the choices of best Liberty City-Based game. GTA 1 had Vice City too.
