Free roam Game mode based on The Purge

We already have a thing called that. It's called Free Roam.

10 don't participate.

 

"purge" starts and the 12 players begin having a LTS in public when they could have just started a LTS.

maybe they'll add a "kill contest" so players can go 8 vs 8 without cops!

I think its a good idea. and to the people complaining about the inconvenience. That can easily be avoided if the event had "Press right on D-pad to participate" type of thing (like beast) and also had a min players so that it can actually start (no fun if only 2 people do it). and those that don't participate are effectively passive (like in Penned In)

No Cops. One GTA night. One lobby. One life. Try to survive as long as possible against other players. Apartments and Garages are locked as anarchy rises. Last man standing gets a sum of cash upon daybreak.

Wow what a stupid idea. Basically you're saying people should be forced to use passive mode for 20+ minutes to avoid participating in a free roam event they don't want to participate in. Doesn't sound like 'free' roam to me.

No free roam event that locks you out of respawning for the remainder of the event or blocks off cops is good. <and even if it did respawn you in passive mode, that's incredibly lame>

The game technically already has this. Theres the Get highest amount of specific weapon kills (headshots/snipers/melee) and then theres the cause the highest amount of damage

 

Granted these are 2+ separate events instead of the combined event you guys want

In San Andreas all the NPCs went crazy, fire was around everywhere, people running around looting stuff and grabbing TVs and things - it was great.

I could see it as a separate mode, all mechanics and special abilities from Lester, etc.. disabled. Whole map as a weapon, maybe 24 minutes? You get to choose you're main personal vehicle you'll be using, but once destroyed you'll have to salvage the city for cars or others PVs, your health is raised significantly to make it more interesting and competitive. Would be fun, max payout could be $140,000 or up to $250,000 for the winner?
