Are they going to fix Annis RE-7B glitch?

So with the combo of stock tires and custom spoiler, this car is running 180-190 mph. Clearly a glitch. Put any other tires on the car, take the spoiler off, or Both and the car runs much much slower.

 

I actually thought they killed the supers class with the new race cars, but they actually arent blowing the old cars away. The annis is because of the glitch. Hope its fixed ASAP.

Hope so. Why should a Le Mans race car go 180mph! pure rage from me. They made the McLaren P1 go 120mph just like it should do.

 

I will let Rockstar off for making one car above the 120mph limit bit I'm actually going to sue Forza for making cars go 270mph and above! can you f*cking believe that. Don't they know the 120mph speed limit!?!?!?

I don't understand why vehicles can't be left alone, as an artist you stop when you finish the work. Faults and all. Whatever, even if they "fix" it, the ETR1 would surpass it easy, it's only a couple tenths of a second behind it. Not to mention, it's not just the RE-7B that's dominating over the supers class but all 3 of the latest supers are dominating, the RE-7B having a slower speed won't fix anything, it will just piss people off considering that many people bought it for its performance. I wish it to stay the way it is.

The only way it'll be fixed is by having any type of tyre/ rim setup giving the same results (in terms of speed at least) as the stock tyres.

 

The speed of it won't, or shouldn't be fixed. They messed around with the Slamvan Custom, realised they should've left it alone, and thus removed the hotfix they made to it (engine upgrade level 4 + either rear spoiler and the Slamvan Custom can reach 180).

The Pfister 811's rear suspension bounce/ kerb boosting wasn't fixed either. It's how Rockstar Games have evidently decided to give these vehicles their extra performance, rather than just editing the handling files of the vehicles and get rid of the bouncing boosts.

Well if you buy a re-7b now because of that spoiler-stock tire glitch, IF they ever fix it the car will or should still be superior to all older supers and on par with etr1/tyrus.

Yes, they should fix it. If a car has top speed a lot higher than average, it should not be able to compete with other cars in a normal track. That's balancing. The 811 dominates highway tracks, but sucks at any proper race. I hope they'll nerf re7b's top speed by a lot.

Broughy tested it with the carbon spoiler and the off-road tires (as he always does) it's still the fastest around a track (due to cornering speed and acceleration) and 7th fastest Super in a straight line in that setup, he did mention the glitch and will make a video about it in the coming days, but he did mention that although the bug causes the higher top speed it will decrease the speed in corners significantly compared to his usual setup, basically making it go slower around a track

So since you can't switch out tires between races, you'd either have to get lucky with the races for the glitched setup being ones with long straights, or run your own custom playlist to make sure they are.

or have 2 7bs, one with stock wheels and one with offroads.

Is this glitch across all platforms? I've heard of things like this on PC but wondered if it affects PS4.

Stock tires are high-performance slicks, any change will of course reduce the speed.

But i guess this is why someone called me a glitcher and script kiddie at Freefall race, after i let lhem behind for 50 meters at start.

Well yes and no, depends what you mean by "faster". Irl hypercars tend to be faster at topspeed then racecars, but around a track even "slower" (GTE/GT3) racecars would obliterate the hypercars laptime.

You don't wan't a high topspeed in a racecar, you wanna hit topspeed at the end of the straight. All that you have more on topspeed is a loss in acceleration. Raceteams always optimize their gearing for each track.

You don't wan't a high topspeed in a racecar, you wanna hit topspeed at the end of the straight. All that you have more on topspeed is a loss in acceleration. Raceteams always optimize their gearing for each track.

The McLaren P1 is limited to 217mph, the exact same speed as the Mazda #55 but without the limiter the P1 can reach 249mph.Yeah the Bugatti is a terrible track car.

 

Koenigsegg One:1 has 1340bhp and weighs 1340kg (hence the name) and it's a road legal car that is built for the track so not just a straight line car. It accidentally broke the world record on Spa Francorchamps in a practice lap, it beat the P1 funnily enough by 5 seconds. Few days ago it was seen at Nurburgring trying to beat the 918's time.

 

That's a great example of a Hypercar or what they call the first Megacar, being able to have great top speed (280mph), and reaching 250mph in only 20 seconds but also able to beat proper race cars.

In the end it's a bit difficult to compare hypercars and racecars, they both serve their own purpose. Hypercars have all the luxury while racecars make your ears bleed. Racecars built for the track are a nightmare on the road as well.

On the X-Box One I'm not seeing much of an issue with it - with stock tyres and changed spoiler I've hit my highest top speed (around 161mph) just around the city (not on a test track without traffic) but that was only marginally faster than the Emperor for me, around a track it was also fractionally faster but was better still with different wheels put on. I'd say it's more "broken" with different wheels on, it's got so much traction I'm struggling to adjust to it.

I hope they fix it, but I'm not counting on it. For tight tracks I.e. Rodeo Loop and thrills in the hills the difference is huge, and I prefer off roads. Its just so fun to drive so fast in corners.

Haha yeah it's an absolute machine, they said they might do the lap with unleaded fuel so it only has around 1160bhp so people can't say it had an advantage instead of E85 ethanol that gives it the full power. It's listed 1340 or 1360 like you said, I'm not sure why they change it by 20, could be whether the tank is filled or not. They should use their full power as that's how the car is built, so what if the 918 is less powerful, that's Porsche's fault. :)

 

McLaren said their P1 got a lap in the 6th minute, but haven't said the other part, 918 got 6:57 so 3 seconds off 7. I wonder why McLaren are scared to tell their time.

I hope Rockstar don't fix this "glitch". I like the idea of the player deciding how they like their car to perform. If they want to get amazing lap times with a lower top speed, or if they'd prefer to have a really high top speed with less traction for cornering, they can do so by changing the tires and adding the spoiler. And like Oleg said, they could have two RE-7Bs each with the different tires to compete in different types of races. I've been waiting for a car that has the highest top speed and is also good around corners and the RE-7B, in its current form, is definitely that car, that's why I hope they don't change it or slow it down in any way. Also, leaving it the way it is, performance wise, keeps both sides happy.

It seems that it affects all platforms but the car can go even faster on a PC if the framerate is higher than 30fps.

I hope this won't get fixed. There is finally a car that can go past an artificial limit of 140 MPH downhill because, well, it's a LeMans style racer. Those vehicles do go fast. If R* changes that, my RE-7B will be just like any other 'super' car - that is, restricted to nonsense 140 MPH and therefore, subject to sell.

I noticed something, while playing in freemode.

The bottom of the RE-7B constantly collides with floor - you can see this, as the camera begins to vibrate, which can be mistaken for a nice special effect - i am not sure, how the game physics accelerate the car, but it must be related to the bulletstancing the Banshee, which was faster than any supercar at that time.

What do you think?

Choosing how you want the car to perform could work if the difference in acc and speed were logical. But here the glitched Annis smokes the non glitched. Plus two great cars (emp, progen) are buried.

 

I also like the speed feel of the glitched annis and ideally they should just "glitch" the other two, and even better make a new class.

 

Pfff those glitch / fps issues annoy me so much. I regret selling my PS4 really. I dont give a sh*t for my 50-60 fps knowing i cheat to someone that runs on 30 or being cheated from someone with gaming monitor.

 

Are those issues fixable or we are doomed to live with them?

Dude, this isnt the point. With catchup, all cars should be able to hang. Driving is what should win out. Why release 50 cars and have just one blow them all away. Then every race with good drivers will just be 16-30 guys with the same car. That gets boring.

 

With catchup off is a different story. Still no car should blow every other car away.

 

This update has killed racing for me. This car's glitch isnt the only major problem Im having. Will prob retire this game this week after three years.

People think the car isnt glitched and that it was done this way on purpose. So the annis is the only car in the game that becomes 30 mph slower when you change the wheels on it.
