People using the "oh it doesn't matter, since catchup is on having the fastest car won't matter at all!" argument don't take into account how bad most randoms are at racing. If you're actually a good or even decent racer, no amount of catchup or slipstream will f*ck you over THAT hard. Having the best cars possible will always give you a bit of an edge, no matter the situation. Catchup, while bullsh*t, doesn't mean you automatically can't win.

Why do car manufactures have cars that can go 200+ mph IRL? Because the majority of people in the world are addicted to speed and horsepower. op.

 

Also it's human nature to want to be better and faster than your neighbor. To have the best and still be able to complain about it to those who ask how it is to own.

I do agree that people are too focused on performance and overlooking good-looking cars. While racing performance is nice, it shouldn't be the be all end all when it comes to buying a car. I do remember a good amount of bitching and moaning when lowriders came out because they couldn't win races. Well of course; they're meant to be eye candy, not track stars.

 

If this was in the game but it dominated its race class, I bet people would still flock to it.

Because it's GTA and I'm going to be the arrogant dickhead here to say that most of these guys don't know jack sh*t about cars in general. All people want is a car that holds their hands. I've heard people bitch about muscle cars because they're "too slidey" I mean sh*t, what kind of crap is that?

 

The fastest = The best. The simplest to drive = the best. The most ridiculous looking = The best. That's how it works here. I'm in the minority for favoring cars that feel "weighty" or "oversteer" too much. Everybody wants hand holding stupid fast cars and couldn't care less about cars to begin with.

 

I see more to cars than speed or even looks. What matters to me is how fun a car is for me to drive and how it makes me feel.

i always found it funny how people claimed the furore gt was flipping all the time

though yes, it is pretty overpriced and i can see people disliking it(though i love it to be honest ), what all those people did with their furore gt to make it flip upside down is beyond me

 

and as much as i truely love my entity xf because it drives on rails, my zentorno because it looks extravagant and looks like nothing else and i loved the adder once really much because of the high top speed, damn, if it was not for some more risky handling cars like the dominator, huntley s, infernus, z-type, schafter v12 and x80 proto, i can not imagen i would have played the game so long

The funny thing is that most people who buy them can't even drive them without crashing and flipping all over the place.

 

I beat another player to the Pacific Standard Convoy location on my Western Daemon while he was driving the X80 because he couldn't handle all that power.
