It's probably never occurred to you to enter an offroad marathon in 20,000 pounds of turbo-charged box truck. But now you know everything you need to, it's clearly a fantastic idea. Trust your instincts. ~n~Please note: this is a Pegasus vehicle and cannot be stored in a personal garage.

Finally it makes a return from GTA SA and i can't wait to create an appreciation thread for a car that is not yet released! :)

and another appreciation thread created before the dlc was even released. why are you doing this :(

can we please have mods locking threads like this again? please don't post the car thread until it's released.

fuсking finally an appreciation thread that wasn't created before the dlc release.

Honestly, its the little things I enjoy.

But seriously, yay for the stunt brickade.

What means that it's not blacklisted? You can drive it inside garage and it remains there, available on call, missions, etc?

No, you can't drive it into your garage, but there was a way (at least on PC) to get it into your garage. And yes, it acted as a personal vehicle which you could use in missions and could be called from the Mechanic, etc etc.

So happy the Dune is coming back. I hope it can be used in off-road races, even if it's not the fastest. Also I wish I could use the warehouses from FAFF to store big trucks as PV's.

Wow this thing is a handful. Tips over on even the slightest of uneven slopes or landings.

I'm pissed that the Brickade obviously fits (just about, f*ck the lights) in a garage. I want PV Brickade and Dune :/

But still, yay, Dakar Truck. And the Contender as a consolation PV prize. Gonna have fun with this in Stunt Races.

I guess it's not been added to the CEO spawn list, right?

Also, I guess it's available in races whether you bought it or not, seeing how you can't customise it.

Correct, so unless you need it for stuff in free-mode, not as much point to buy it.

Nah, of course the Dune isn't added to the CEO spawn list .. that would be silly.

I'm glad it's finally out though, the overall design is very cute (even if it's a slightly modified Brickade). Having a group of people driving up Mt. Chiliad with it is going to be great fun, regardless of its handling qualities.

So, yeah, I drove it out into the desert and took it for a longer spin.

It's top heavy as f*ck, and flips over constantly. The Brickade was already a fickle mistress who had quite the interesting handling line for a truck of its caliber. I feel that when they 'copied' it over to the Dune, removed the back two wheels, and shortened it overall they didn't mess with it as much as they should.

There's no reason a rally truck like this should want to flip as much as it does! It's clear that the suspension was raised slightly (or maybe it was just hard to see the suspension of the Brickade due to how much of the bed extended past the back tires) but the weight distribution is all over the place. From my driving you cannot hold accelerate constantly, and when you take certain bumps and turns in the road you have to let go and allow the vehicle to propel itself forward while making subtle turns to correct yourself.. sadly something that shouldn't really be needed for a vehicle like this.

They'll not change it, they never do .. but hopefully we can get SOME sort of slight change. It wouldn't take much, although all that being said I still enjoy the vehicle for the quirkiness of it.

So has anyone figured out as to why some people are having it sent to their personal garage instead of the Pegasus list?
