What sports car should I be shopping for?

for the Sports-class stunt races I've been using my non-race Jester as it's the only Sports-class car my primary character owns. It's decent and I'm usually finishing in the top 1/3 of the group, but there must be some better choices out there. I have space for two more cars.

Yes, it is. There's almost always one in contention in the races I've been in.

 

The Seven-70 has also been doing pretty well. I may have to pick one up soon.

You sure about the Elegy? my mate was in the Bestia but he caught up to me easily on the straights like the car is a lot faster apart from corners. I am not going to use the Elegy again in Sports races after that happened, I made no mistakes either

For stunt racing I like the Massacro Racecar the best, and the Seven-70 is good as well. The best all around sports car is the Jester Racecar though, definitely grab that one.

That's a great point.

The problem is that most of the Sports-class cars I visually like are among the worst-performing in Stunt Races.

I had a racing Jester and loved it, but when R* put the can't-be-sold kibosh on my regular Jester (and I needed the space) the Racing one got sold.

The elegy is one of the best and the cheapest to own, the massacro racecar isn't a bad option either

Jester race car is much faster than it's sibling.

The massacro race car is a beast, and a different beast to the regular massacro. I just wish I could lose the garish livery

Jester race car. You might not like the livery, but it's possible to make it look good.

I am using either my Feltzer or 9F but if you ask me for one car for those races i choose Massacro.

You probably had catch-up and slipstream on. Bestia shouldn't be able to catch up (unless you suck at driving)

Most of the players keep catchup and slipstream on for the stunt races anyways so the car dont really matter, but the top 3 in the sport class are Elegy, Massacro racecar and the jester racecar (not in order). They are really close to each other so feel free to use the one you like. Everybody tend to say the elegy is the best sport car, but I always use my Massacro racecar because it has good acceleration and you can do the mid drive speed boost with it so you will be off the starting line way faster then all the other car so if you are playing with catchup and slipstream off you will not be stuck in the usuals accidents at the beginning of the race when everybody is too close to each other.

I had both a Jester and Jester RC, but I've sold them; the Massacro suits my driving style best. It's up there in the top, so I'd go for a standard or racecar Massacro. The Seven 70, Elegy, or Feltzer are other viable options, the latter two being cheap for their performance.
